When I went to middle school, it was hard for me to adjust the new

environment at first, because there were so many subjects to learn, I fell

school. I talked about my annoyance to my friend, she told me that I got too

much pressure and she suggested me to take relax and made progress step by step.

She said everything would be better someday. Now I have made progress and when I

look back on the passed days, it was just a small problem for me. I got over the

As is often read in the newspaper reports, wild life especially the rare species is threatened with extinction. Summer can be very hot in southern taibei where the temperature usually goes up to 32"C or more. Because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. Also because of this I stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky. Actually I like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. In the summer vacation that has just ended I went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. This summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. As a second-year senior student I had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. In other words, I must find time to study, too. So I divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

一切前进的动力皆源自“问”，对自己的寻问，以未来的思索。

人生有很多问号，我们就是在问号中找到了答案，找到了前进的动力，找到了前进的方向。

“是与他们同流合污还是辞官回乡？”这是陶渊明对自己的寻问，在与灵魂的对话中，他选择了后者，决定了自己人生的走向。

披散着头发站在清澈的汩罗河旁的屈平，心中正权衡着择生还是赴死，最终他心中的天平偏向汩罗河的清澈。

“问渠哪得清如许？唯有源头活水来。”我们就是在寻问中得到了想要的答案，但它不定是正确的，只有去尝试才会知道。有一本书中说过：“仿佛乌托邦的声音在召唤人们，他们争先恐后的想挤进天堂，直到门“轰”的关上那一刹那，人们发现这里不是天堂而是地狱。”

Nowadays, divorce rate has been rising sharply in China, because most

people think that its better to get divorced than stick to a bad marriage. But

for those couples who have children, they had better think over before getting

divorced. Parents divorce may have some negative effects on their children.

Firstly, the love of father is different from the love of mother. Children need

both of the love. Without each of the love, they may not grow up healthily.

Secondly, in order to raise the family, the single parents have to work harder,

so that they may have less time to accompany with their children. The children

may feel neglected, which may cause mental problems. Besides, if the single

One day a young man was standing in the middle of the town proclaiming1) that he had the most beautiful heart in the whole valley. A large crowd gathered, and they all admired his heart for it was perfect. There was not a flaw2) in it.

The crowd and the young man looked at the old mans heart. It was full of scars. The young man laughed. "Comparing your heart with mine, mine is perfect and yours is a mess of scars."

"Yes," said the old man, "Yours looks perfect but I would never trade with you. You see, every scar represents a person to whom I have given my love. I tear out a piece of my heart and give it to them, and often they give me a piece of their heart that fits into the empty place in my heart.

"But because the pieces arent exact, I have some rough edges, which I cherish, because they remind me of the love we shared.

"Sometimes I have given pieces of my heart away, and the other person hasnt returned a piece of his or her heart to me. These are the empty gouges - giving love is taking a chance.

"Although these gouges are painful, they stay open, reminding me of the love I have for those people too, and I hope someday they may return and fill the space Ive been waiting. So now do you see what true beauty is"

我飞一般地冲进了家门，看着周围熟悉的一切，刚才心里那种惊悚的恐惧感，才慢慢地消失了。心，也慢慢地静了下来。

othing Succeeds Without a Strong Will

“Where there is a will, there is way” is an old proverb which almost everyone knows, but not all understand it so well. Actually, it means that if you are really resolved to do something, no matter how difficult it might be, never give up.

In fact, strong will is a kind of good quality which successful people should own. A great man is always one who has a firm resolution and an inflexible spirit. One will never succeed all his life without a firm will to get the final victory. As a rule, great tasks are accomplished by men of strong will. For example, Dr. Sun Yatsen, the founder of the Republic of China, set the Chinese people free from the Manchurian rule through a long period of hard struggle. Many of his attempts failed and many of his followers were killed, but he had an inflexible spirit and stuck to his cause. Finally, he made the revolution of 1911 a success. The same is true of men in all walks of life.

It is quite obvious that there is nothing difficult in the world, if you make up your mind to do it, you will certainly accomplish your end. That stands to reason. So as for students like us, we should have a good attitude towards failure. Facing with difficulties and failures, keep heads up and never give up.
