Summer can be very hot in southern taibei where the temperature usually goes up to 32"C or more. Because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. Also because of this I stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky. Actually I like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. In the summer vacation that has just ended I went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. This summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. As a second-year senior student I had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. In other words, I must find time to study, too. So I divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

I spent this summer vacation in quite a different way. I used to run about every day in previous summer vacations, but this summer vacation I simply could not afford to do so. I would soon be in the last year of my high-school education and would after graduation be up against the college entrance examinations. Though those examinations were still a year away, I had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things I had learned at school and this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this. 读村上的作品是友人荐的，他借了我本《且听风吟》，说是让我感受村上的文风。我是一个感性多一点的欠理性的生物，故往往对文字优美的作品情有独钟，少些大家级别的思想深度无关紧要。一观此书名，心生一股欣赏的冲动。在一阵虎咽般的吞咽下，没寻到由书名而联想到的文笔和情节，倒是脑中徒增一丝不解与阴郁。但尽管如此，书中简单的文字风格着实磁铁般的深深地吸引了我。

莫名的感动之余，借了本村上的《挪威的森林》。阅前的我曾是一个不择不扣的乐天派，认为世界是美好的，活着是幸福的。可自掀开《挪威的森林》的扉页起，内心愈发迷惑，愈发压抑得无法呼吸。合书后的心情自是可见：除对村上淡淡的笔调的认可外，剩下的便是因主人公不算可歌可泣却绝对悲烈的经历产生的一丝悲伤和彷徨。而此感在与自身青春岁月的缺陷而系后便被无限的放大了。

这令人窒息的忧伤直至读完《活着》而痊愈。或许《活着》是《挪威的森林》的一剂解毒药，或许这关系本末倒置也应无可厚非吧，又有谁能知哪个是毒药呢?又或许本不应称解毒药，谁又能保证不会因《挪威的森林》一般的人或事而再次中毒呢?

若我们在悲观与乐观中来回摇摆而渡过一生时，最大的悲哀也就降临了。这也就是常说的缺乏坚定的信念。乐观是一种信念，悲观亦是。不同时期从两者不断切换时，信念便被举棋不定的犹豫而代替了，风格亦随之消失了。如此，我们就可被代替，存于世的价值便会被这可代替性分解得烟消云散了。正如士兵在教官的口哨声中左转右转一样，还是原地未动，却惹了一身疲惫，真正糟糕之处便在于此。联想到人生，在人生的十字路口本是沿着一个方向坚定走下去，却总是左转和右转，中毒、解毒、再中毒，喘息之余忽得发现，自己离起点只有一步而已。其实在十字路口的迷失不是因选错方向，而是不断地变换方向。

说到底，这悲哀源于读者只读不思或读后略思造成的。未经沉重思考而赞同并吸收作者思想，其内心应未真的感动，只是暂时的感染而已。过段时日，其所中之“毒”便被其他书籍给解了。如此反复，其颗粒无收，书读越多，越是迷惑，空付(负)了时间。

读书之正道，依愚之见，当是精贵于多。此精有两层涵义：一，书本的可读性高；二，读者对书中所阐释的内容完全理解(关于赞同与否，那就见仁见智了)。

如若余之言，然善读书者鲜已。

Yesterday, my parents were not home. And I had to stay at home by myself for one day and one night. I was very happy at first, because there wouldnt be anyone criticizes my behavior. I can do whatever I want. But later I felt desperate. There was nobody cook for me, asked me to do things or criticized me. I felt empty and desperate as the house is only me. When the night fell, I was afraid. The computer games or the cartoons couldn’t attract my attention. I hate living alone.

This cartoon displays a very soothing scene. An old lady bought some stuff from a convenience store, and just at the moment when she was about to leave, the store keeper ran out to her because she had paid an extra two yuan. Though that is not a big amount of money, I believe the old lady must be greatly impressed by the keeper’s honesty.

It is without doubt that the cartoon aims at addressing a serious problem prevailing in today’s society, that is, the lack honesty in the field of business. For instance, many businessmen are so obsessed with making profit that they simply forget that they are supposed to serve the people with best products and services. Therefore, there emerge fake products, cheating services and unfulfilled promises. In contrast, the kind-hearted keeper of this drawing practices honesty in every detail of her work. Her attitude gives customer the sense that her product and service are of first-class quality, which would guarantee her more customersand credit.

The store keeper’s practice is exactly what we should advocate among all businesses. That is because, honesty not only renders clients temporary satisfaction, but can also build long-term customer trust. The latter is one of the key factors for market expansion and business success.

Sichuan is located in the Upper Yangtze Valley in the southwestern part of the country. The second largest of the Chinese provinces, it covers an area of 220,100 square miles (570,000 square kilometres). Szechwan is bordered by the provinces of Kansu and Shensi to the north, Hupeh and Hunan to the east, and Kweichow and Yunnan to the south and by the Tibet Autonomous Region to the west and the province of Tsinghai to the northwest. It is the most populous province in China. The name Szechwan means “Four Streams” and refers to the four main tributaries of the Yangtze River, which flows through the province. From economic, political, geographical, and historical points of view, the heart and nerve centre of Szechwan is in the eastern basin area, commonly known as the Sichuan, or Red, Basin. Its mild and humid climate, fertile soil, and abundant mineral and forestry resources make it one of the most prosperous and economically self-sufficient regions of China. The area has been seen by some as China in a microcosm and is often viewed as a country within a country. The Chinese call the basin Tien Fu Chih Kuo, which literally means “Heaven on Earth”.

We need to follow all kinds of public rules, such as the manner rules and

the traffic regulation. If we break the rules, then all the work will be out of

order and everybody will suffer the loss. But few people just ignore the rules

and waste other people’s time and money.

Chinese high speed train has won many praise from foreign people. The

trains always start off as the timetable and reach the destination on time. High

speed train is popular by the public by its speed and punctuality, but what if

someone breaks the traffic rule? Recently, a video got popular on the Internet.

A woman was stuck in the door of high speed train and the staffs tried to stop

her but failed. She said her husband was on the way and she wanted the train to

start off later. How ridiculous it was. How could she let all the passengers to

wait for her. Everybody’s time is precious.

Though the woman apologized after the policemen’s education, what she did

discomforts the public. The way she acted wasted the public’s time. It is our

duty to follow rules and keep the public in order.

To be honest, Im honored to make friends with you. I still remember the

days when we were together. As far as I know, you are the kindest person in the

world. Once we were together, you always treated me as if I were your dear

thought of you. Next time we have a chance to see each other, I will say "thank

上课时，每当老师向我们抛出问题时一些同学把自己的手举得高高的，期待着老师能叫到自己。而我，却愣愣地坐着不动，在头脑中反复思考问题的答案，就是没有积极举手说出答案的勇气。总是担心自己的答案万一错了怎么办?结果：我发现自己的答案比他们的更完整，更丰富。如果我能拥有这一份勇气，那该多好啊!那么，接受老师那甜甜的微笑和赞许的目光的人就该是我了。

Is it Good for College Students to fall in love in School?

College students have more freedom than before and they also grow more and

more mature in physical and mental. So it is natural that they would like to

fall in love with someone. As a result, campus love becomes popular in

university. For this phenomenon, people opinions vary. In my opinion, I dont

agree with that phenomenon.

跟以前相比，大学生拥有更多的自由，而且在身心上他们也在慢慢地变得越来越成熟。所以他们想谈恋爱是很自然的。结果校园恋爱在大学中就变得很普遍。对于这一现象，人们众说纷纭。在我看来，我是持反对意见的。

首先，恋爱需要花费很多钱。当两个人是那种关系的时候，他们就会经常一起出去。出去的时候就要花比较多的钱。约会中，男孩子会尽自己最大的努力去买东西给女孩让她开心。而女孩也会开始化妆或者买一些漂亮的衣服来让自己看起来更美丽。这些行为都是需要钱的。然而，大学生仍然还是学生。他们没有收入。他们的钱是父母给的。恋爱会增加家庭和自己的负担。
