世界上成功的人更是有着极高的责任感。我国古代著名医学家李时珍为了了解“红果”的药效，居然自己吃了三次，险些被毒死，他当时就是抱着对医学研究的责任而工作的。化学家戴维在发现了七种化学元素后，本着对学术研究的责任感，又反复研究了两年，才将成果发表。鲁迅先生，抱着对革命的高度责任感，在白色恐怖下为共产党人保管、转移文稿……这些不都说明了责任对一个人是多么重要吗?

然而一个人若没有责任感，便会给社会、个人带来不幸。正因为某些人的不负责任，使美丽的彩虹桥转瞬之间化为一堆垃圾;正因为某些人的不负责任，使湛江海关成为走私的“天堂”，使国家蒙受了上亿元的损失。不负责任是多么可怕的事啊!

著名教育家蔡元培先生说过：“做人，要先负责。”21世纪的人们，让我们负起自己的责任吧!这样明天将会更美好!

With the improvement of our living standard， more and more people can afford a car. As a result，our roads are more often than not crammed with cars.

However，with more and more waste gas being discharged by the cars，the problem of air pollution bees even more serious. So nowadays we advocate to lead a low-carbon life.

My suggestion is we should ride bikes more often instead of driving cars.By riding a bike， we can not only exercise our body but also protect our environment.

一、Great changes in my hometown

More than twenty years ago, my hometown was just a small , old and poor town. Most of people were farmers. There were few factories. The people didn’t have enough food to eat and wore old clothes. They had a hard life .

Great changes have taken place in the past twenty years . The people have found a lot of ways of making money . Now there are many tall buildings . They are very beautiful . Roads are wide and clean . People can take buses or drive their own cars to go to work . Many people have cell phones and personal computers. People’s living conditions have improved a lot . Thanks to the government’s efforts . my hometown is becoming more and more beautiful .

When I was young, I had a lovely dog, it has a white hair; a pair of big black eyes seemed especially clever; down from his ears on both sides; the black nose in the white face, very conspicuous; pink small mouth is like a lipstick on the tail; like a flower blooming flowers. A man who walks with a swing like a gentleman with great grace, and I affectionately call him "Beibei"".

"Beibei" is a very conscientious security guard in our family".
