It has been billed as a hi-tech bike-sharing boom that entrepreneurs hope will make them rich while simultaneously transforming Chinas traffic-clogged cities.

But, occasionally, dreams can turn sour.

In the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen, more than 500 bicycles for hire have been found dumped in huge piles on the streets, according to reports.

But problems have arisen when clients have abandoned their cycles.

"Some people these days just have really bad character," a man named He, who lives near where the stacks appeared, told the Southern Metropolis Daily.

"When theyre done using (the bike) they just throw it away somewhere, because theyve already paid."

In the past few days he witnessed people demolishing the bikes before discarding them on the side of the road, he said.

Residents told the paper that bikes had been piling up over the past week, either parked haphazardly by careless users or stacked by local security guards trying to clear narrow residential alleys and footpaths.

Zhuang Chuangyu, a representative at Shenzhens municipal peoples congress, said the city needed to step up regulation of the bike-sharing industry in order to improve traffic conditions and safety standards, especially since schoolchildren often used the bikes.

In 1980, almost 63% of commuters cycled to work, the Beijing Morning Post reported in 2015, citing government data. But by 2000 that number had plummeted to 38% and today it stands at less than 12%.

Car use, meanwhile, has rocketed. In 2010 China overtook the US to become the worlds largest car market, with 13.5m vehicles sold in just 12 months.

43.但是前佃户、汤河南岸稻地里的梁三，为人特别心硬。他见天从早到晚，手里捏着只有一巴掌长、买不起嘴子的烟锅，在饥民里找人似的满村奔跑。这梁三，四十岁上下，高大汉子，穿着多年没拆洗过的棉袄，袖口上，吊着破布条和烂棉花絮子。他头上包的一块头巾，那个肮脏，也像从煤灰里拣出来的。外表虽然这样，人们从他走步的带劲和行动的敏捷上，一眼就可看出：那强壮的体魄里，蕴藏着充沛的精力。下堡村的人对梁三在饥民群里钻来钻去，越来越发生了怀疑。

45.几天以后，人们终于看出梁三活动的规律了：他总是紧追着饥民里头带小孩的或不带小孩的中年妇女跑。有人推测：熬光棍熬急了的梁三，恐怕要做出缺德的事情吧?但是，梁三不管旁人怎样着，他只管他一本正经地听着逃荒女人们在庄稼院门口诉述不幸，并且在脑子里思量着那些话，独自点着头显得异常认真、严肃。

46.有一天，梁三从汤河南岸过来时，竞变成了另一个人：剃了头，刮了有胡楂的脸;在他的头上，他哥梁大借给他走亲戚时戴的瓜皮帽，代替了烂脏头巾。他的旧棉袄也似乎补缀过了。啊!原来梁三竟在人不知鬼不觉中重新成家了——看吧!他喜得闭不上嘴，伸开两只又长又壮的胳膊，轻轻地抱起一个穿着亡父丢下的破棉袄、站在雪地上的四岁孤儿。一个浑身上下满是补丁和烂棉絮的中年寡妇，竟跟他到汤河南岸的草棚屋里过日子去了。

47.自从死了前妻，草棚院变得多么荒凉啊!多么冷落啊!那个向西的稻草棚屋，好像一个东歪西倒的老人，蹲在那里。土围墙有的地方在秋天的霪雨中垮了，光棍主人没心思去修补它;反正院里既没有猪羊，又没有鸡鸭，哪怕山狼和黄鼠狼子夜里来访问呢?!院里茂草一直长到和窗台一般高低，梁三也懒得铲锄它;锄它做什么呢?除了他自己，谁又进他的街门呢?好!现在，梁三领了个女人回来了，他的草棚院就有了生气。几家姓任的邻居，男人们早帮他铲净院里的枯草，女人们也帮他打扫了那低矮而狭窄的草棚屋。大伙笑说：嘿嘿!从今往后，梁三的案板上和小柜上，再也不会总是盖着一层灰尘了。

Many high school students come to the sensible age, they are desire to be independent, but their parents still treat them like a small baby. When the parents come to the school, the children object to contact with their parents, because if they act like a baby, they will be mocked by the schoolmates. Actually, high school students are almost adults, they should take some action to let their parents realize that they have grown up. When at home, they should take responsibility, they can do some housework, and without their parents’ supervise, they still can handle their own house chore. If their parents have seen this, they will have the idea that the kids have grown up and to be an adult, they can make their own decision. So the students need to be independent in home, to prove they are adults, thus the parents will let them go and have more private space.

I am sorry you are having difficulty with your physics classes. Teachers have many different ways of encouraging students to put in more effort — it seems as though your physics teacher thinks fear is the best way! He does it because he thinks it will produce results. If you feel that it is stopping you from doing your best then you should tell him. You say you want to do well in physics and if your teacher knows this, he will be pleased. It is only when students are not trying as hard as they can that a teacher is forced to take action. If he is aware of your worries, perhaps he will suggest other ways of helping you improve your work.
