My first stop is London. It is raining. The streets are very clean. How I wish I could have the chance to see the famous London fog. But someone told me that was already the history. One can only read things like that about London in books.

We have planned several activities. When we get there，we will visit the elderly in their rooms in groups，presenitng them with flowers and self－made cards to show our respect and love. 英语念起来干枯无聊，我偶尔往前面望去，有一排同学没事可做，竟然搞起敢死队的工作——在英语老师的眼皮子底下看漫画书，晕。更为巧合的是――竟然都是坐在一排的人！怀疑是不是串通好了的呢。

敢死队员1号：小心翼翼型

这位队员一边看着书，一边虎视耽耽地望着老师。瞧，他刚翻一页，就抬头看看老师，接着又翻一页，然后有抬头望望老师，这样重复循环，真不知道他把内容看进去没有。看见老师的目光没有扫向他，他赶紧抓住机会连翻几页，然后突然抬头，盯着老师。

敢死队员2号：动作怪怪型

这位队员可有点怪了，看着书，一会儿掏掏鼻子，一会儿打打哈欠，一会儿摸摸耳朵，一副惟恐天下不乱的样子，好像不让老师发现他的举动就不甘心似的，真是个怪人。

敢死队员3、4号：谈天说地型

这两位同学有些不把老师放在眼里了，边看书边聊天。我隐隐约约听见他们说冒险岛OL，说漫画内容，说小说，说娱乐咨询，就连老师和同学的目光扫向他们，也无济于事。

敢死队员5号：边学边看型

这位同学好像有些明白学习的重要性，看了几分钟的书，马上立起来听老师的讲课。课上一半时，老师为了扫查班上的敢死队，把同学们一个叫起一个问问题。这下可让这群敢死队员们开始惶恐不安了，他们连书都顾不着看呢。而这位队员呢，看一会儿就学学，这一招算是对他的MISS了。

敢死队员6号：理直气壮型

这位同学可是班上的霸王级分子了（注：别乱想，不是我啊），他可是一人之下，几十人之上，谁敢对他不敬，他的落雷马上就落在你头上了，（注：我已经欠了他3顿打了，要不是我能帮他弄电脑作业，我早就魂飞天了）因此每人敢告发他。不知是她的好运还是老师放水，他这样看了一堂课，竟然都没半点被批评，真太不公平了！！

谁知道，老师从天而降，为了抓住敢死分子，居然来个背后突袭，到所有座位后边地毯式搜索。5名敢死队员唰地一声，在同一时间内放下书，装起乖乖。只有敢死队员6号稳如泰山，而老师的目光明明瞄准了他，可老师却好像在放水一样，竟纵容他在自己眼皮子底下活动，真气死人了！而其他5位的敢死队员便无机可乘，只好乖乖停课，唯独6号占了便宜。

今天秋高气爽，天气晴朗。我们卓刀泉小学的操场上传来了一阵阵欢呼声和一阵阵笑声。原来，今天我们卓刀泉小学在开运动会。现在场上只剩下最受欢迎最精彩的压轴项目一一接力棒比赛。

我们班请来了一位外援杨鑫妍的爸爸。杨爸爸给我们队员进行了一次小小的训练。此时广播响起：“五年级的接力赛已经结束，六年级接力赛的队员请做好准备，站好队形。”

第一捧的杨鑫妍做出了标准的起跑姿势，左脚在前，两手一前一后做摆臂动作。

裁判一声令下，在第一棒的七个人一齐冲了出来，如同一支支离弦的箭，“嗖嗖嗖”“嗖嗖嗖”，接力棒飞快的到达了第二棒杜紫轩手里，这时隔壁五班的速度和她的速度不相上下，时不时超过一下，又时不时落后一点，我们这群观众的心情也跟着一会儿喜上眉梢一会儿坠落山谷，跟过山车似的。虽然只是第二棒，但大家的脖子几乎都伸的跟长颈鹿一样，这场激烈的比赛牵动着每个人的心。“快、快、快，再快一点”我在心里默默念道。

我们的接力棒马上要传到第三棒尹睿祺手里了，哪知这时意外突然发生了，第三棒跑的太快，交接棒子时，棒子却不慎脱手掉在了地上，尹睿祺赶紧弯腰去捡，再迅速站起来，可是这个过程就浪费了好几秒，让紧跟着尹睿祺的其它两个队伍趁机跑到了他前面，第四棒孟雨田咬紧牙关，使出了浑身解数，但是还是比第三名慢了一点。我们班拿了个第四名。

运动会结束后，大家回到教室，同学们都叹着气，愁眉苦脸，觉得我们与奖状失之交臂太可惜了。不过大家都没有埋怨第三棒尹睿祺，有同学还过去安慰他，失败乃成功之母!下一次我们肯定会胜利的，相信我们。

the longing summer vacation is approaching, it is the best part of the school year for me. i cannot let the holidays elapse (逝去) meaninglessly, my vacation should be a phase (时期、阶段) of harvest. the events in my plan should give me a sense of infinite potential.

9月20日早上我们六点钟就上学校了，7点钟左右我们坐上去往射阳未成年人素质教育社会实践基地的公交车。我们不知不觉地到了目的地。

我们排队下了车。朱老师把我们的宿舍安排好了，我们就去宿舍把行李放到自己的柜子里，每两人用一个柜子。放好了，我们去食堂吃了一顿丰盛的午饭，接着我们又去宿舍休息了。

三天中，我最喜欢第二天的课了。第一节课是开心体验，这节课我最喜欢里面的过铁索桥。铁索桥是由铁环和钢丝组成的，上面是15个钢环，下面是一根又粗又长的钢丝。刚开始我们以为很简单，但是由于前方同学抓住的钢环不停地抖动，这样很难让后面的同学走。再加上还有些人害怕，腿不停地抖，这样就更难让人抓稳，尽管左右有扶手。我看到同学们有的人脸色紧张，有的人脸色恐慌，有的人脸色苍白，还有的人像要哭了一样。我走钢丝的时候晃来晃去站不稳，但我并没有认输，一边用手抓住铁环，一边走着八字步。最后我终于用自己的勇敢和毅力渡过了难关。

还有一节课上的是多米诺骨牌。多米诺骨牌是由许多的长方形组成的。这个看起来排成一排很简单，但其实并不简单。因为只要你一不小心弄到一个，那你的一排就全部倒下重头来过。但也有很多同学想到了许多办法，例如在骨牌中间空一点余地，最后再补上去等等。虽然还是有些组没成功，但我们都没有放弃。我摆的时候经常倒，但我一点也不气馁。最后我们组虽然没成功，但我们一点也不灰心，一点也不生气，因为我们感受到团结的力量。

三天的实践活动。丰富多彩而又令人难忘。这是我第一次离开父母，来到一个陌生的地方，独立生活，从吃饭、就寝到整理内务，都是自力更生。这些做的时候，是那样的不顺手，一次次的反复，一次次的总结，换来了一次次的成功和喜悦。我们用实际行动证明了自己：

Like tangible cultural heritages such as the Great Wall and the Forbidden

City, intangible cultural heritages like Peking Opera and

Confucius-commemorating rituals are equally crucial. We should make our utmost

efforts to preserve intangible heritages because, without their physical form of

existence, they are in greater risk of extinction.

According to UNESCO’s Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible

Cultural Heritage (2003), all forms of social customs and habits, folklore,

performing arts, rituals, oral traditions, festivals, traditional crafts and

various knowledge and practices about nature and universe can be classified as

intangible cultural heritages. As a country consisting of a great diversity of

ethnic groups and with time-honored history and civilization, China abounds in

intangible cultural heritages. Cultural heritages connect modern people with the

historical past, allowing them to acquire a cultural and historical identity.

Without cultural heritages, we would be rendered absolutely rootless and we

would find it hard to cope with challenges at present and in the future.

However, the modernization process poses mounting threats to intangible

heritages. Many people have a blind faith in the latest electronic devices. It

is also pathetic to see elderly people in possession of such legacies pass away

without transmitting them to the younger generation. Faced with those

challenges, we should both preserve and renovate our ancestral heritages so that

we can help contribute to the cultural diversity of the world and return to our

spiritual homeland in this age of impersonal science and technology.

The Lantern Festival falls on the 15th day of the 1st lunar month, usually

in February or March in the Gregorian calendar. As early as the Western Han

Dynasty (206 BC-AD 25), it had become a festival with great significance.

This days important activity is watching lanterns. Throughout the Han

Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220), Buddhism flourished in China. One emperor heard that

Buddhist monks would watch sarira, or remains from the cremation of Buddhas

body, and light lanterns to worship Buddha on the 15th day of the 1st lunar

month, so he ordered to light lanterns in the imperial palace and temples to

show respect to Buddha on this day. Later, the Buddhist rite developed into a

grand festival among common people and its influence expanded from the Central

Plains to the whole of China.

Till today, the lantern festival is still held each year around the

country. Lanterns of various shapes and sizes are hung in the streets,

attracting countless visitors. Children will hold self-made or bought lanterns

to stroll with on the streets, extremely excited. "Guessing lantern riddles"is

an essential part of the Festival.

Lantern owners write riddles on a piece of paper and post them on the

lanterns. If visitors have solutions to the riddles, they can pull the paper out

and go to the lantern owners to check their answer. If they are right, they will

get a little gift. The activity emerged during peoples enjoyment of lanterns in

the Song Dynasty (960-1279). As riddle guessing is interesting and full of

wisdom, it has become popular among all social strata.

People will eat yuanxiao, or rice dumplings, on this day, so it is also

called the "Yuanxiao Festival."Yuanxiao also has another name, tangyuan. It is

small dumpling balls made of glutinous rice flour with rose petals, sesame, bean

paste, jujube paste, walnut meat, dried fruit, sugar and edible oil as filling.

Tangyuan can be boiled, fried or steamed. It tastes sweet and delicious. What’s

more, tangyuan in Chinese has a similar pronunciation with "tuanyuan”, meaning

reunion. So people eat them to denote union, harmony and happiness for the

family.

In the daytime of the Festival, performances such as a dragon lantern

dance, a lion dance, a land boat dance, a yangge dance, walking on stilts and

beating drums while dancing will be staged. On the night, except for magnificent

lanterns, fireworks form a beautiful scene. Most families spare some fireworks

from the Spring Festival and let them off in the Lantern Festival. Some local

governments will even organize a fireworks party. On the night when the first

full moon enters the New Year, people become really intoxicated by the imposing

fireworks and bright moon in the sky.

放寒假了，今年的寒假作业是“快乐手拉手，开心过大年”的实践活动。老师把我们分成一个个支行去一起完成活动，我很荣幸成为了第二支行的队长。

星期六一大早，我们第二支行的成员就兴致勃勃地出发了。第一个活动妈妈帮我们安排了舟山的传统游戏“跳方格”。只见妈妈在地面上画好一到十的方格，然后我们一个个在妈妈的指令下开始跳，妈妈叫到几，我们就跳到几。结果妈妈的速度一加快，我们就有点手忙脚乱了。不过大家玩得很开心。

第二个活动妈妈让我们在大马路上做义工，擦公共自行车和栏杆。虽然天很冷，但大家擦自行车的时候都很认真，也很仔细。尽管小手都被冻得通红通红了，但没有一个人退缩，所有人都很努力地去完成任务。

第三个活动是与勤学智慧手拉手，同学们都展示了自己的特长。我们小队的成员可真是多才多艺。周轩成不但溜溜球玩得高明，还能吹动听的葫芦丝。周艺瑄表演了单指顶球，还有郑诗洁跳了一段优美的拉丁舞。特长展示在队员们的掌声和喝彩声中结束了。

最后一个活动是队员们最开心的，因为要去超市购年货。一到超市，大家每人各拿了一个购物篮就一哄而散了，不到一会儿，每个人都买了自己喜欢吃的零食，那可真的是满载而归了。

这次的实践活动很有意义，也让我很难忘！

火是生命的起源，它给我们带来希望与温暖，但同时也带来了危害。有时它是无情的：多少个家庭因为它而破碎，多少条生命因为它而失去。我们不得不要提防它，所以现在要多学习消防知识自救逃生。

我们都知道，火灾致人伤亡有两大原因：一是浓烟毒气窒息，二是火焰的烧伤和强大的热辐射，只要能避开或降低这两种危害，说不定就能在火里逃出来，获得第二次生命!

火灾自救，时刻留意逃生路。每个人对自己工作、学习或居住的建筑物的结构及逃生路径要做到有所了解，要熟悉建筑物内的消防设施及自救逃生的方法。这样，火灾发生时，就不会走投无路了。当你处于陌生的环境时，务必留心疏散通道、安全出口及楼梯方位等，以便关键时候能尽快逃离现场。

扑灭小火，惠及他人利自身。当发生火灾时，如果火势不大，且尚未对人造成很大威胁时，应充分利用周围的消防器材，如灭火器、消防栓等设施将小火控制、扑灭。千万不要惊慌失措地乱叫乱窜，或置他人于不顾而只顾自己“开溜”，或置小火于不顾而酿成大灾

突遇火灾，保持镇静速撤离。突然面对浓烟和烈火，一定要保持镇静，迅速判断危险地点和安全地点，决定逃生的办法，尽快撤离险地。千万不要盲目地跟从人流和相互拥挤、乱冲乱窜。只有沉着镇静，才能想出好办法。

尽快脱离险境，珍惜生命莫恋财。在火场中，生命贵于金钱。身处险境，逃生为重，必须争分夺秒，切记不可贪财。

迅速撤离，匍匐前进莫站立。在撤离火灾现场时，当浓烟滚滚、视线不清、呛得你喘不过气来时，不要站立行走，应该迅速地爬在地面上或蹲着，以便寻找逃生之路。

善用通道，莫用电梯走绝路。发生火灾时，除可以利用楼梯等安全出口外，还可以利用建筑物的阳台、窗台、天窗等攀到周围的安全地点，或沿着落水管、避雷线等建筑结构中凸出物滑下楼。

烟火围困，避险固守要得法。当逃生通道被切断且短时间内无人救援时，可采取寻找或创造避难场所、固守待援的办法。首先应关紧迎火的门窗，打开背火的门窗，用湿毛巾、湿布堵塞门缝或用水浸湿棉被蒙上门窗，然后不停用水淋透房间，防止烟火渗入，固守待援。

跳楼有术，保命力求不损身。火灾时有不少人选择跳楼逃生。跳楼也要讲技巧，跳楼时应尽量往救生气垫中部跳或选择有水池、软雨篷、草地等方向跳;如有可能，要尽量抱些棉被、沙发垫等松软物品或打开大雨伞跳下，以减缓冲击力。

火及己身，就地打滚莫惊跑。火场上当自己的衣服着火时，应赶紧设法脱掉衣服或就地打滚，压灭火苗;能及时跳进水中或让人向身上浇水、喷灭火剂就更有效了。

身处险境，自救莫忘救他人。任何人发现火灾，都应尽快拨打“119”电话呼救，及时向消防队报火警。火场中的儿童和老弱病残者，他们本人不具备或者丧失了自救能力，在场的其他人除自救外，还应当积极救助他们尽快逃离险境。

有一个成语叫“玩火自焚”就是要告诉我们，不要玩火，要不然就会烧到自己。为了不要让火灾发生，我们应该多了解消防知识，学习消防知识，听取消防教育、宣传消防知识，要注意生活的每个小细节，凡事都要小心谨慎，做到懂消防、知消防、了解消防。

让我们的生活多一丝快乐，少一丝隐患!

我又迟到了 I Am Late Again

I opened my eyes in the morning and looked at the clock. "Oh, dear! Its

half past seven already. Ill be late again," I thought. Without breakfast, I

hurried to school. But it began to rain hard.

早晨我睁开眼睛，看看钟表，“天啊!已经七点半了。我又要迟到了，”我想。没有吃早饭，我就匆匆朝学校赶去，可是天又下起雨来。

When I got to the classroom, the maths teacher had already begun his

lesson. It was Mr wang. All of us were afraid of him. I didnt like him, or his

lessons. I opened the door. " Im late again, Mr Wang."

当我到教室时，数学老师已经开始讲课了。是王老师，所有的学生都怕他。我不喜欢他，也不喜欢他的课。我打开门，“王老师，我又迟到了。”

"Ive told you not to be late, but you ..." he said angrily. But suddenly

he stopped, and looked at my clothes. He quickly took off his own jacket and

handed it to me. "Now take off your wet coat and put wet one on." he said

kindly.

“我早就告诉你不要迟到，可是你……”他生气地说。可是他突然停下来，看了看我的湿衣服。他很快脱下自己的上衣递给我。“把你的湿衣服脱下来，套上这件。”他和蔼地说。

今天，我们全班来到江滩进行社会实践——爱心卖报。我拿着一沓厚厚的报纸，听着老师对此次卖报纸活动的要求，我对今天的挑战更加没了信心。

老师的话音未落，同学们便如小鹿一般，飞快地冲了出去，一眨眼便已分布在江滩的各条小道“推销”着自己的报纸。

看着热情似火的同学们，我暗暗地叹了一口气，拉着雷雨禾走上了一条小道。

我心不在焉地走着。雷雨禾突然冲到了前面，定睛一看，原来她在推销自己卖的报纸。面对陌生人，她落落大方，就这样第一份报纸被她轻松卖出。

我只有硬着头皮学着她的样子，找到了身边的一个人。

“叔……叔叔，买报纸吗?”我抑制住紧张，小声嘟囔道。

那个男子什么也没说，立马掏出钱包，买了一份报纸。

我不禁有些激动，毕竟这可是自己卖出去的第一份报纸。耶!我高兴了好一会儿，才转身离去。

不一会儿，我的眼前又出现了一对男女，他们看上去很悠闲，我快步走上前去。也许是因为之前卖报成功吧，我的声音提高了几度——

“叔叔阿姨，来一份报纸吗?”我仰着头等待着他们的回答。

“额……小朋友，我们家订了报纸了!”

我失望极了，刚才燃起的一腔热血被这盆冷水瞬时浇灭了，后面我不知道该说什么了，我把目光投向雷雨禾，希望她能帮帮我，可她只是匆匆地说：“人之常情!继续，快点啊!”

对面有一个老奶奶看见了我这副落魄不得志的样子，好似读懂了我的心思，她面带微笑向我缓缓走来，拍了拍我的肩膀，说：“小姑娘，卖报纸的声音要大，才会有人买……”随后，她买了好几份报纸，这给我增添了信心。

后来，我按照老奶奶的方法卖出了好几份报纸，之前内心的阴霾也一扫而空。

这次多彩的活动，让我找到了更加自信的自己。

spring is the first season of a year . there are there months in spring : morch , april and may , the weather is warm and windy . it rains a lot . the trees turn green and all the flowers are coming ont . in spring, i can wear my shirts . i often plant trees and go hiking . so i like spring very much . of course , i like the spring festival , too .

为确保仪式质量，下午两节课还得训练，其他学生跟着玩呗。

今早提前半小时到校，本想改作业，则坐到办公室，就叫去组织集合，准备出发。一切准备就绪，突然打电话要鲜花队，并且在二十分钟内出发，这可乱套了，叫出鲜花队的学生，服装却不一致，也难怪呀，今天星期五，许多学生的校服脏了，早换了。没办法，只好叫出所有穿校服的学生，重新选了一批，原来鲜花队员有的也连忙到处去借校服，学校那阵可热闹啦。负责人更象热锅上的蚂蚁。突然电话来了，说我们迎接的人还在八十公里外。哎……

等啊，等啊，终于可以出发啦，已经是第三节下课了。来到捐赠地点，只见主席台上鲜艳夺目，对联、幕布喜气洋洋，两边音箱高垒。迎宾小姐，市、县有关领导早已在周围闲谈。台下大操场里坐满了兄弟学校的学生。气势还真大呢。

盼啊，望啊，阴冷了好几天的太阳这时不知是好奇，还是有意竟高高地悬在了头顶。许多学生解开了外套。

三辆警车相继来了，领导的车终天出现了。鼓号齐鸣。颗颗晶莹的汗珠从那吹号队员的额上滴落。

还好，仪式前后不到十分钟，可已接近下午一点，学生回校后再回家，不知该是啥时候了。

宏大的场面，来去的耗资，两天十几个班学生的时间，捐赠的钱物，这是什么式子呢?下午到校后听说这好象又是一个非等式。

同样的事件在某校也有过，他们所受的捐物与学生不对号，可他们迎宾的钱不知要买多少适合的书了。

形式呀，这就叫什么特色来着?

好一个重阳节!

i went to the supermarket the other day with 10 yuan. i was a bit hungry, so i decided to buy a small pack of cookies which cost me 4 yuan. after i ate them, i was still hungry, so i decided to buy a small bag of potato chips which cost me another 3 yuan. after i ate them both, i was no longer hungry.

however, i was very thirsty and wanted to buy a large bottle of milk to drink, but i didn’t have enough money left because even a small bo of milk would cost me 2 yuan and i needed 2 yuan to pay the bus fare. so i gave it up at last.

How are you doing?

I am writing this letter to say "thank you." First and foremost, it is clear that you, just like "our foreign mother", were very patient to us. Additionally, needless to say, you taught me a lot, not only English knowledge but also your life wisdom;consequently, all of us have fallen in love with English and study. Last but certainly not least, there is no doubt that we had a great time together, which we will keep in mind forever.

By the way, I cant wait to tell you something new about my class. After you left for the America, we had an English competition. We all did very well, using the knowledge you told us. No one can deny you helped us so much!

Sue, can you give me some information about your life in America? I miss you so much. I am looking forward to your early reply!
