在往后的日子里，我要再接再厉学习英语，因为我是那么地尊敬我的英语老师——Mrs.李。

假期，理所应当是要做家务的。今天，我的家物任务是擦镜子与擦玻璃。首先，我先使用湿抹布来擦镜子，镜子立即变得水莹莹的。可是，大概过了一分钟，怪怪事就发生了——镜子上立即?县了一条一条的水印——镜子比原来更脏了。

这是怎么回事呢？谁都知道水有清洁的能力，可是为什么水擦到镜子上后，反而使镜子更脏了呢？我决心要弄个究竟。我从厨房里拿了一块干布，将那块湿布又洗了洗，我先用湿布擦了擦净镜子，结果和前面一样，镜子的“脸”出现了水印；然后用干布擦镜子，结果镜子比愿来干净了许多，也没有水印。我翻阅了一下刚学完的的物理课本，“气化”这个词引起了我的注意。我再次认真的看了看有关“气化”的内容，明白液体在一定温度下会汽化，我们平常烧开水就是一个很好的例子，我开始有点头绪了！

通过结合物理属书与刚才的现象，我明白当湿布擦物体时，会将少量水分留在物体上，而这些水分在炎炎夏日下是“弱不禁风”的——没多久就发生了气化，结果在物体表面留下了一条一条的水印。而因为玻璃制品的光滑与反光力度强，从而凸显了这些水印。而用干布来擦镜子时，干布不会留下水分，说以也不会产生水印，同时也起到了除尘的作用，使得镜子变干净了。所以，以后擦玻璃制品时应用干布。

后来，我勇敢不去擦玻璃窗和镜子，效果果然很好，效率也加倍了。我轻松地完成了家务任务。

在春光明媚的星期五，我们学校举行了一年一度的英语节活动。

同学们兴高采烈的拿着要卖的书到操场上去。我也带上了自己精心准备的《安妮日记》。刚到操场，我就被这热闹的气氛吸引住了。安静的操场一下子变成了熙熙攘攘的大市场。

因为是英语节，老师让我们尽量用英语沟通。小朋友向我们奔来，可是他们只看一眼我们的书，就急匆匆的去看其他班的玩具了。好像是他们喜欢的玩具要被别人抢走了似的。看来爱玩是孩子的天性，玩具的吸引力比书大呀。这时，我们就像热锅上的蚂蚁，拼命地喊着“comehere，comehere！”尽管我卖力的喊着，小朋友还是不肯光顾我们的书摊。张老师看着我们心急如焚的样子，只好说：“要是实在没有人买，那就互相卖吧。”我对着同学们喊着：canIhelpyou？canIhelpyou？我把书的价格降低后，终于卖出去了。同学们也都买到了自己喜欢的书籍。

英语节活动不但锻炼了我的英语口语能力，也让我明白了卖东西不是我想象的那么简单，也是需要学习的。我喜欢英语节！

Last Saturday I joined a voluntary activity which was organized by the students union of our school. My classmates and I took a bus and went to the Animal Rescue Center in our city, where some stray dogs and cats are kept. As soon as we arrived, the workers told us how these animals were collected and what they did to help them. Then we were divided into small groups and helped them clean the cages. We were given some food to feed these animals.
