端午节是我们中国十分隆重的节日，它是为了纪念战国时期伟大的爱国诗人屈原，现在的中国人还在延续这一习俗，甚至还有一天的法定节日。

Dragon Boat Festival is a very grand festival in China. It is to

commemorate Qu Yuan, a great patriotic poet in the Warring States period. Now

Chinese people still continue this custom, even a legal festival.

农历五月初五就是端午节了，家家户户都要包粽子，还有有趣的划龙舟比赛呢!奶奶在家已经煮好了香喷喷的粽子，打开锅盖满屋都飘着粽子的清香，让我闻得口水直流个不停。我迫不及待地剥开粽子叶津津有味的吃了起来，真是回味无穷呀!

The Dragon Boat Festival is on the fifth day of may in the lunar calendar.

Every family needs to make zongzi. There are also interesting dragon boat races!

Grandma has cooked delicious zongzi at home. When she opened the pot cover, the

fragrance of zongzi was floating all over the house, making my mouth water

continuously. I cant wait to peel off the zongzi leaf and eat it with relish.

Its really memorable!

After eating zongzi, my father took me to watch the dragon boat race. There

The Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional festival of the han. It is a very important festival in our hometown, so every year the Dragon Boat Festival is very busy.

The Dragon Boat Festival is the most indispensable, nature is zongzi, every year the grandmother of the Dragon Boat Festival and everyone will pack hundreds of big dumplings! 端午节是汉族的传统节日。在我们的家乡算得上是个特别重要的节日，所以每年的端午节都过得异常热闹。

端午节最不可少的，自然是粽子，每年端午节外婆和大家都会包上几百个大粽子呢!包粽子虽然有很多种，比如芦苇叶、竹笋叶、菰叶、藕叶等。但我们的家乡是芦苇比较多，所以大多都用芦苇叶包了。首先，外婆“率兵”去采芦苇叶。采芦苇叶时，一大家子听着外婆的劳动号子：“加油!一个粽子三片叶子!上百个粽子几千片，嘿哟，加油!”听了“将军”的鼓劲，“小兵”们更加卖力了!采完芦苇叶，现在只要将它们暴晒就行了。但准备材料可没有这么简单哟，还得去集市上买来上好的红豆、猪肉、花生、板粟、蜜枣与糯米，还要买红线呢!

当然，最好玩的时候还是包粽子的时候。包粽子时，男人负责把肉切成不大不小的块儿;女人负责洗红豆、糯米之类的;小孩负责把大盆洗干净，再把大人加工好的东西装在大盆里;而老人们则负责指挥。一切准备好之后，就开始包粽子了。大人们干得格外卖力，而小孩们呢?却在一旁玩着，总是在大人们不注意时，偷一两颗蜜枣往嘴里塞，表面上似乎一点儿事都没做，可心里却暗暗自喜——因为蜜枣太好吃了!

最后一步就是煮粽子，烧火的外公总是把火候把握的很好，味道很香、很浓，如果在第一时间内吃粽子，你看到的肉粽子总是嫩地流油，看到的蜜枣粽子总是金黄柔嫩;看到的八宝粽子总是很可口，我们可爱吃了。

去年，要不是为了去盐城替舅舅、舅妈照顾表哥，外公外婆可能在包粽子哩。我突然有些“厌恶”舅舅、舅妈，他们家的经济条件不错，为什么不找个保姆?把我的欢乐端午节和粽子都“夺走了”，我好生气呀!也好怀念那味香色美的粽子呀!

According to a recent article on Newsweek concerning children’s’ education,

there is an increasing number of parents worrying their kids to an extreme

extent, depriving them of independence and freedom by keeping them around

parents all the time.

Some people applaud this phenomenon, suggesting that kids’ safety is the

most important. Thus, they’d better not enter the hazardous society without

supervision unless they become adults. From my point of view, some of their

opinion is correct but keeping children away from independence is a completely

erroneous decision. The reasons are as follows:

First and foremost, “locking kids” may hinder their healthy growth, both

mentally and physically. The kids who are locked may have heavy reliance on

their parents, as their comprehensive skills such as communication skills or

cooperative spirit being prevented from developing.

Secondly, what these parents fail to see is the fact that the crime rate

and accidents aren’t on a rapid rise. It is the abuse of mass media that make

crimes and violence more scary. The parents, who love their kids so much, are

completely forced to live under the illusion that our society is full of riots

or threats of accidents. Thus, kids can be allowed to have more freedom such as

walking to school by himself, for instance.

From what has been discussed above, we may safely draw a conclusion that

kids should be given more freedom by parents’ effort. At the same time, parents

should take many factors into consideration such as the time restriction for

children and the evaluation to kids’ maturity and capability. Only then can they

enjoy a safe and meaningful childhood.

小学英语教师读书笔记(一)

俗话说：“良好的开端是成功的一半”。上课也一样。教师的循循诱导，能让学生产生强烈的求知欲和好奇心，从而更积极主动地参加课堂教学，为整节课的成功作准备。

一、导入：⒈歌曲导入。⒉设置悬念。当然导入很多，教学中不能单一的用一种导入，也许这种导入刚开始学生觉得很有劲，但天天用学生就会厌倦了。所以教师设计时要多多新颖，多多改变，尽量多样性。

二、创设情景，多用直观教学.

由于小学生年龄较小，生活经验不丰富，知识范围有限，决定了他们对直观、新颖、有趣的材料容易理解和接受。比如学生学习“good morning ﹑good afternoon ﹑good evening”这三个问候词时很容易混淆，我就用道具设置情景：画了三幅图，有从东面初升的太阳表示上午，有正在上方炎热的太阳表示中午，有明亮的月亮表示晚上。再叫学生用“good morning ﹑good afternoon ﹑good evening”来说，加深了学生的印象。作为一个小学英语教师表情要丰富，如果表情呆滞，语言平淡，学生就不能全身心投入学习中。所以在课堂上，老师需要生动地表演，丰富的表情，使学生进入一个童话世界。在制作教具时可让学生自己动手画、动手做。在教学中要用到的图片，可以提早几天布置下去，当他们的作品被运用在课堂上时，孩子们都很兴奋。这样使学生体会到成功的喜悦也激发了学英语的兴趣。此外画图片，也培养了学生的绘画能力，也可让他们熟悉一下将要学的新知识，真是一举多得啊!

三、运用多种教学方式使学生“玩学结合”。

爱玩是孩子的天性。教师在课前充分利用教材内容，精心设计一系列知识性、趣味性强的听、说、读、写教学游戏，使学生边玩游戏边学习，在丰富多彩的游戏中接受英语，喜欢英语，达到“玩与学”相结合的目的。在小学英语书上有许多单词要记住，这就得通过让学生在各种游戏中慢慢学习单词，而不是死记硬背。我们要掌握的单词以卡片、图片、头饰、动作等各种不同形式展现给学生，通过各种游戏进行渗透。

我和爸爸、妈妈和弟弟兵分两路。妈妈先去终点，等候我们。

我们看了导游图。走到了五羊石像，那只最大的羊嘴里叼着一串稻穗，象征着广州人民丰衣足食。它旁边依偎着四只小羊，大羊应该就是它们的爸爸吧！

我们又走了一会儿，来到了镇海楼，它有五层那么高呢！我们买了门票，去游览里面的文物。在最顶楼的时候，我看了看时间，呀！已经3：00钟了。我们连忙下了楼梯，狂奔到北秀歌舞台。

终于到了北秀歌舞台。我盖完印章后就四处寻找谭老师拿六一礼物，可惜没找到，大概是我们迟到了。

妈妈大声喊:“你们快过来!”我伤心得到了妈妈面前，我看妈妈已经拿了六一礼物，开心极了。

这一次活动真有趣呀！

I am a December 2003 graduate from the University of San Francisco (USF) with a bachelors degree in International Business. As part of my career planning, I am very interested in supplementing my international business education with a basic knowledge of the Chinese language. This I hope will help me enter into business commerce with business organizations partnering with Chinas economic development.

I already have information from BLCU and hope to study there for at least one full year starting with this summers program continuing through the fall and spring semester 2006. Can your office advise me if such scholarships might be available to me?

I have been studying Chinese for one year now. I am not sure what level I belong to. I was told that there will be an HSK test in our university in September. I am planning to attend the test. But I dont know if the result of the test is recognized by your university. If so, can it be a help for me to apply for the scholarship?

2．学生进行片断写作，教师巡回指导。

四、品春游——评析习作，交流真情

1．小组评析。写好了读，让小组的同学评议，有没有把意思表达满楚。

2．集体评析。投影仪出示几个学生的习作，让全班同学评议。

3．小结延伸。同学们，作文是心与心交流的书面表达形式，选择真实的事例，抒发真实的感情，带给我们无穷的乐趣。课后，请大家把习作念给家长或小朋友听一听，让他们评一评，然后自己改一改，抄一抄，贴在教室的习作园地里，互相交流，互相学习。

I like eating fruit. Watermelons are my favourite fruit.

Watermelons are big and round. In Cixi, watermelons are very sweet, because they grow on the salty ground.

During summer holiday, I can eat watermelons every day. After eating, I often make a watermelon lantern with my friends. In the evening, we often take the lanterns and play in the park.

为了培养我们的独立能力，丰富我们的课余生活，学校决定让三、四年级的学生去基地参加社会实践活动。

10月30日，我们怀着无比高兴和激动的心情，坐着大巴车来到了基地。到达基地，我们首先认识了两位教官，一位又高又瘦的教官，我们称他为“油条”教官。又胖又矮的教官，我们称他为“馒头”教官。“馒头”和“油条”陪伴我们度过了快乐而有意义的五天。他们既教我们踏步、叠被子、穿军装、做手工，又带我们唱歌、跳舞、做游戏……他们对我们严格要求，却又十分关心和爱护我们，还给我们带来了很多很多的快乐。

为期五天的实践活动，我觉得最有趣的是磨豆浆。那天，“馒头”带我们左弯右拐来到了一座房子里，房子左边摆满了石磨，右边有几个柴火灶。“馒头”教官先让我们坐下，然后教我们怎样磨。他请了三位同学进行示范，看着他们磨得津津有味，我们都迫不及待地想要自己动手了。

终于轮到我了，我和陈丹一组。我先用手握着石柄，逆时针方向不停地让石磨转动，陈丹就不停地往石磨的“嘴巴”里放豆子和水。过了一会儿，豆子终于磨完了，我们俩也累得筋疲力尽了。

“馒头”帮我们把磨好的豆浆过滤，然后倒进锅里煮，不一会儿，豆浆煮好了，我们端起豆浆便大口大口地喝了起来，喝完以后还用舌头把嘴角的豆浆舔得干干净净。喝着自己亲手磨的豆浆，我们都觉得这是喝过的最甜的豆浆，一直甜到了我们的心坎儿里。享受自己的劳动成果是一件多么幸福的事啊！

通过为期五天的实践活动，我明白了做什么事情不能依赖父母，要自己动手，还要多多培养自己的独立能力，我要做一个坚强而勇敢的孩子！

我们坐着校车，开了约莫二十多分钟左右，我们终于抵达了目的地——慧沃科技创意农业园。我们在一块空地上排好队伍，等着我们的指导老师夏老师来，大家在坪里远望着美丽的星空庄园外景。就在王老师让我们集合的时候，夏老师终于来了。我们每个人心里都很兴奋。

夏老师先带着我们走进一个球形似的大棚里。一进大棚，我觉得大棚里非常暖和，这次种植实践活动，夏老师将我们分成几组来种菜。我与另外六个同学被分成了第一组，几个阿姨在一旁帮我们准备种菜要用的海绵块，我们学着阿姨的样子，把芝麻菜小苗的根轻轻夹在海棉中间。阿姨告诉我们，如果根断了，就长不大了，我铭记在心里。于是，我小心翼翼地把小苗塞到了海棉块的中间，种在泡沫快上的小孔里，再在一行种好的芝麻菜旁用卡片把名字写好，用牙签插在旁边。种完了芝麻菜幼苗之后，我们便去别的地方参观其他的无土栽培植物。

在慧沃科技活动农业园里，我看到许多平常看不到的蔬菜、植物，比如有：太空巨型南瓜、大仙葫芦、象牙菜、法国冬青、紫色朝天椒。我还发现薰衣草是淡紫色的，淡淡的香味让人闻上去非常舒服，使人心旷神怡；鱼美人有黄色、白色、红色三种颜色，花瓣有点像玫瑰花花瓣，车前菊小小的，有白色的、紫色的，非常得小巧玲珑，还有别的不同蔬菜和植物。

我去后发现，有些蔬菜不一定要种在土里，种在土里也不一定长得好。于是我在星空庄园看见了水培植物。所谓水培，就是用营养液来给蔬菜或植物营养，使它们更好、更快地长大。我还发现，大棚里的温度要比外面气温高，植物和蔬菜就是要适宜的温度才能成长吧！我希望可以在一个单独的大棚里设置一个“游客动手种种菜”的项目，这样，来这里参观的游客不竟可以多了解大自然的奥秘，还可以认识一些水培种植的方法，能让工作人员减轻一点负担，这叫“一石三鸟”的高招。

叮铃铃，上课铃洪亮地响了起来。突然一个“不速之客”进来了，如果你想知道不速之客是谁的话就继续往下看吧。那就是新的综合老师。

老师健步如飞地走上讲台。用自己最大的力量一拍，讲台发出的声音放佛永远都不会消停，随后又用洪亮大声的声音说：“你们今天有没有带包粽子的东西来。”一大部分的同学说有，一小部分的人小声的说没有，我也在其中，所以当时我们都非常的惭愧和不好意思。

之后，我的心一跳一跳的越跳越快快要爆炸了。因为老师听了之后她火冒三丈，拍了拍讲台前的桌子又开了大嗓门说：“你们怎么搞的连两个东西都不带来你们还干什么！”然后老师叫我们去向有多余的同学来借。刚好我的运气真好，我左边的同学就有多的粽叶和线，我三番二次请她借我，她都不借，最后还是老师叫她借给我的。

老师开始教我们怎样包粽子，老师手：“先把一条给折到前面去，然后再把它捏成一个漏斗形状，不过不能有漏口，最后再把上面的边给盖下来，随后把捏成三个尖角，以及用线绑起来。”老师边说着，又边做着，我们也开始有模有样地包着。

老师又叫我们出去排队。我们不知道为什么，就只好排队，排好了队伍以后边说：“去沙池用沙子包。”我们来到沙池以后便自己开始包了起来，我们越包越不想包了。我们有一些人包好之后，坏同学开始蠢蠢欲动了，不过他们不是想包粽子而是开始对我们丢一堆一堆沙子，搞得我们狼狈不堪，好在熟悉的下课铃响了起来，我们才解脱。

我们通过这一节课学会了包粽子，十分开心和高兴。

The Dragon Boat Festival， also called the Duanwu Festival， is celebrated on

the fifth day of the fifth month according to the Chinese calendar. This

festival is to commemorate the death of QU Yuan， an upright and honest poet and

statesman who is said to have committed suicide by drowning himself in a

river.

The most important activity of this festival is the Dragon Boat races. It

symbolizes people‘s attempts to rescue Qu Yuan. In the current period， these

races also demonstrate the virtues of cooperation and teamwork.

Besides， the festival has also been marked by eating zong zi (glutinous

rice). Zongzi is made of glutinous rice stuffed with different fillings and

wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves. People who mourned the death of Qu threw Zong

zi into the river to feed his ghost every year.

With the changes of the times， the memorial turns to be a time for

protection from evil and disease for the rest of year. People will hang healthy

herbs on the front door to clear the bad luck of the house. Although the

significance of the festival might be different with the past， it still gives

the observer an opportunity to glimpse a part of the rich Chinese cultural

heritage.

端午节，又称为端午节，定在第五个月的第五天据中国日历。这个节日是为了纪念屈原的死，一个忠厚老实的诗人和政治家据说在河流溺水自杀。

这个节日最重要的活动是龙舟竞赛。它象征着人们的努力救屈原。在当前时期，这些比赛也证明合作和团队合作的优点。

此外，节日还被吃的粽子(糯米)。粽子是糯米做的塞满了不同的馅料包在竹叶或芦苇叶。人哀悼屈原的死亡把粽子扔进河里喂他的鬼魂。

随着时代的变化，纪念转向防止邪恶和疾病是一个时间的。人们会把健康的草药挂在前门清理房子的坏运气。虽然这个节日的意义可能与过去不同，它仍然使观察者看到的机会丰富的中国文化遗产的一部分。

Last Sunday, Jack had a relaxing Sunday. He got up 6 o’clock. After breakfast, Jack played basketball with his friends. They were very happy. Then he played the guitar in the room. And he sang songs very loudly. Though it’s very relaxing for him, it also make very noisy for neighbors. Maybe he should turn down the music. At noon, jack fed his pet cat henry. He is Jack’s favorite. Jack always play with him on the weekends. At night, he watched TV on the sofa. At the some time, he ate many delicious snacks. So he really had a great time.

At the of day, jack thought if I always have a relaxing Sunday like today. I will become the happiest boy all over the world.
