How I Spent My Summer Vacation

The summer vacation had come round again. I was happy that I could forget about school at least for a while. Lest I fool around all through this summer vacation, I made a plan as to how to spend it. Then I thought I should take up some forms of exercise, such as walking, running and rowing, to keep me physically strong. It was Saturday morning, I just woke up, saw my mother in a hurry, mouth called: Im going to be late for work, you father and son help me wash clothes! When I want to tell my mother that I cant wash, her back is far away from me. Father pretended not to hear and went on to sleep.

把三年级和四年级的学校课本系统复习一遍，每天坚持听剑桥英语的磁带，时间不限；

假期把以前记得的英语单词都记在小本子上，分类汇总；

若有兴趣、有机会，可以把语音和音标接触、巩固一下，尽量保证发音标准。

三、活动安排

1、 随父母至少省内出去旅游一次，争取省外旅游去一次；

2、 至少去乡下亲戚家2次，体验生活，其中爷爷家族亲戚去一次，外公家族亲戚去一次；

3、 每天保障一小时的户外活动或运动，散步、溜冰、找小朋友玩等，要注意安全；

4、 每两天至少帮家里做一件家务事（10分钟以上），洗衣服、择菜、简单做饭等；

5、 一个人尝试独立在家呆1-2天；邀请同学或者小朋友在家玩若干次，并独立招待；

China has long been known as “the land of ceremony and propriety.” Today however people often complain that public morals are no longer what they used to be. A family for example likes a cell of society which also mirrors the general mood of a country. As we know the Chinese have very strong family ties. But with the emergence of a “modern” concept to families people find that problems like high divorce rate and extramarital affairs become more serious than ever before.

Another example: the name of Lei Feng who was always ready to lend a helping hand to others used to be known by almost all Chinese as a model to learn from. But today some people claim that “the spirit of Lei Feng” is outdated. Fashionable ideas say money talks. In the early stage of the market economic development the appearance of some evil phenomena is not surprising. But we should not sit passively by and let it run rampant. Personally the media should play a leading role in this regard. They should spare no effort to praise the good and criticize the evil. successful people have visions of what their life should be and they set lots of goals, both sbort-term and long-range, to help them realize the visions. by setting goals you are taking control of your life. it is like having a map to show where you want to go. a driver with an aim arrives at the destination without any waste of time or wrong turns.

on the contrary, a driver with no aim drives aimlessly around, never getting anywhere and just using up gas and oil. winners in life set goals and follow through on them. they decide what they want and then get there by making plans and setting goals.

goals ara not difficult to set and they are not difficult to reach. it is up to you to find out what your goals, ideals and visions really are. with a clear direction, and with certain plans, you will straightly get what you want.

without a goal, you have to live a passive life. you do not know where to go, what you want and why you are listless. then your life be comes dull and meaningless just like the dead water in a muddy lake.

[高中英语作文生活需要宽恕

暑假,福娃带我游泰宁,我知道了泰宁有四个景点——有壮观的状元岩、幽静的上清溪、秀丽的塞下大峡谷、还有一个当然是大金湖了。

上午，我们去的第一个景点——状元岩。

你们知道这座山为什么叫状元岩吗?我来告诉你们吧!因为这里以前是南宋状元邹应龙读书的地方!我们从山脚下出发，山太陡了，在烈日炎炎下，我们爬得很慢，大家都爬得上气不接下气，终于爬到山顶了，导游阿姨对我们说：“早在很久很久以前，泰宁曾发生了火山爆发，原来的汪洋大海都被顶成了一座座大山，所以这里的山奇形怪状的，岩石都是红色的。”我们休息过后，现在要下山了。俗话说上山容易下山难!这下我可体会到了。我们走得小心加小心的，这时来到一个交错的叉路口，导游阿姨介绍说前面是“潘桃盛会”，我以为是一大遍的桃树呢!但到了那里，却一棵树也没有看到，只见一块大石头上刻一个个像桃子形的东西，中间刻着一个红色的“寿”字。妈妈说：“潘桃盛会是天上玉帝、王母娘娘过生日时举办的盛会。”噢，我知道了。我们继续往下走，终于来到了邹应龙读书的地方了。

最先看到的是一个圆圆的、小小的一个窟窿。导游说那是邹应龙抖米用的。原来邹应龙当时上来读书，都是扛谷子上来，然后在这里抖成米才能做饭呀。在抖米处的左边是邹应龙的肖像，肖像的右前方立着个介绍他的石碑。我看了一下，知道邹应龙以前有6个老婆、13个儿子。传说邹应龙老的时候，他的眉毛黑得像用墨汁画上去的一样，非常的黑。在石碑的正上方，有三个天然形成的洞，就像三顶帽子，导游阿姨说这三顶帽子，就是三个状元帽，已经有二个状元戴上了，一个是北宋状元，一个是南宋状元，还有一顶帽子至今都没人戴呢。

从肖像的前方往远处看，在隐隐约约的山群里，有一座山就像一个笔架子，传说那是邹应龙放笔的地方。

我们继续往下走，在半山腰导游让我们看前方一块大石头，那巨石上有许多小窟窿。其中有一个窟窿里驻着一个鸟巢，导游阿姨说那是一个老鹰的窝。我觉得这个鸟巢像——我们奥运会的国家体育馆。

我们一路往下走，我都在留心每一块巨石，看巨石中的窟窿还有没有鸟巢。就这样我们下到了山脚下，来到两座山的缝隙里，脚下是一片清泉，在清泉上立着一块块梅花桩，走在这感觉像走进空调房一样的凉爽，脚下的泉水叮叮咚咚的唱着歌，我第一次在梅花桩上捉小鱼，而且是在“空调房”里，真是太爽了!虽然没捉到鱼，但是我们捉到一只虾，还是一只“孕妇”虾呢。这样我们恋恋不舍地走出了“空调房”，路上看见一条四脚蛇从路上横穿过，我们害怕极了，赶紧快步走出状元岩。

下午，我们去幽静的上清溪，我们坐上了由竹子编成小船——竹排，划竹排的梢公来给我们讲解。划了一段路,梢公让我们看左前方说：“这块巨石像一头鲨鱼，正张着大嘴巴，锋利的牙齿都露出来了。”梢公一边给我们划船一边唱山歌，我在溪边两侧看见了野芒果树、板栗树，那板栗树上还结了许许多多毛茸茸的小球，妈妈说那小球里就住着板栗。突然，我发现上午在山上很少见到小鸟，反而在这有一些鸟儿，不过这些鸟儿都是很稀有的，带着这份好奇，我忍不住问梢公：“为什么这里的鸟这么少呢?”梢公说：“泰宁这里丹霞赤壁，山是红色的，岩石也是红色的，所以山上没什么虫子，鸟儿就比较少，而上清溪里有许多小鱼，因此鸟有多一点呀。在这里有许多蜻蜓，它们都穿着彩色的外衣。”听梢公这么一说，我忙向两岸找寻蜻蜓的踪影。这时，耳边传来梢公的介词：“这里前面的巨石上有一个大脚印，那是赤脚大仙的脚印，你们看看，他还有“香港脚”，原来这脚印上有长一点一点的白斑。我们一边看这幽静，优美的景色，一边听着梢公的解说，竹排顺着溪流，曲曲折折不停地往下划，溪水清澈透明泛着亮光，水底沙石清澈可辨，水里面的小鱼三三两两的在石头缝隙中游上游下呢!这迷人的景色使我不禁想起一年级所学：小小竹排画中游。

终点到了，我心里恋恋不舍地想多划几圈，多想留在这上清溪的仙境里呀。

第二天，我们去泰宁堪称天下湖山之中的极品——大金湖。
