Dear Tom,

Im just writing to let you know that were all well, and I hope you are, too. Unfortunately, Ive got some rather bad news for you: Im afraid I made a bit of a mess of Johns car. Anyway, heres what happened.

We were on our way to Carols after a long party, and I suppose it must have been about eleven o’clock. Well, the last few miles back home were really dark and deserted. I now realize I was probably going a bit too fast for a country lane because, although the road was fairly straight, I drove up onto the curb and went into a tree.

Of course, John was absolutely furious and started shouting at me and cursing. After we d argued for a few moments, we decided to look at the damage, and he calmed down a bit. Well, we found we could move the car, but the wing was caught on the wheel, so we couldnt drive it. I tried to pull the wing clear, but I didnt succeed.

Anyway, John went off to phone for a breakdown lorry, but while he was away, I had another go at the wing and this time succeeded in pulling it right off. I threw it onto the back seat, and by that time John got back and we were ready to go?so we didnt need the breakdown lorry at all. John has more or less forgiven me now, but he was very angry with me for a few days. I suppose I was a bit careless.

Well, thats all for now. Next time I write I hope Ill have better news for you.

again. I took it back to ABC. They are no longer carrying your typewriter, but

they assured me that the guarantee is still good and suggested that I write you

for further instructions as to what steps to take.

I like animals very much. I have a dog, It’s my favourite animal. It’s

white, It looks like a snow ball. It has two big eyes and ears. But its nose and

mouth are very small. It’s very naughty.

society. For example, people become indifferent and cold-blooded because they

mainly talk with each other on phone. It not only affects your physical health

radiation which really hurts your brain because it may cause your memory

problems and even get a cancer.

However, phone is not always negative in your life. There is a research

My school is at haimen town. it is very big and beautiful. there are

forty-three classes in it. when you come to our school, you can see the modern

teaching building.

Our teachers work and do practice in it. behind the building, there are two

classroom buildings and a school library. in the library there are thousands and

thousands of books. after class you can borrow the books you want and also you

can read them in the reading room at any time.

Beside our classroom, there is a big playground. at about 4:30 p.m. every

day, many students play football, basketball and some of them play tennis. all

the playground is alive.

Our school is a model school in jiangsu. i like my school very much.

Two years ago, I lived in my hometown. It is a beautiful place for me and I

like the life there. Every day, I wake up early in the morning, then I will walk

in the country road with my grandma. We will meet some people and we say hello

to each other. The trees are so green and the water is so clean. I play a lot of
