Besides, I found it difficult to write in idiomatic English or put Chinese into idiomatic English. Finally, I couldnt express in English orally because I had no opportunity to communicate with native English speakers. Although I often read aloud, this didnt prove to be an effective way to improve my spoken English.

But I didnt lose heart in removing these obstacles. I tackled English vocabulary in two ways. First,I tried to understand and memorize the specific meaning of a word that appears in the context. Second, I enlarge my vocabulary by learning the dictionary by heart. To overcome Chinese English, I tried to think in English directly. Although I still had no opportunity to communicate with native speakers, I improved spoken English by listening to the English broadcast and writing English composition. This expedient turned out to be effective.

像任何其他的英语学习者,我在学习英语遇到了很多困难。

Winters in Taipei are very cold during the evening and very windy during the daytime. 我的家庭里有爸爸，阿姨，爷爷奶奶，还有一个即将出生的弟弟。说起爸爸，我们通常想到“严厉”这个词，而我的爸爸却与众不同，他是一个慈祥，尽责的爸爸。爸爸在我犯错时，总是先批评我，，面无表情，当你感到暴风雨快要来临时，当你感到非常懊恼时，他又跟我开起玩笑，来安慰我。我生病时，爸爸总是关切地问我病情，分析病因，给我量体温等，然后又会批评我没照顾好自己，常常让我猜不透他的心思。

阿姨是我的继母，现在肚子里正孕育着一个新的生命。阿姨虽然不是我的生母，但对我倍加关爱。我长大了有许多心事，阿姨总会主动来替我分忧，像妈妈一样与我谈心。阿姨对我的生活也很关心，常问我需要什么东西，还给我买衣服，发卡等。阿姨还经常问我作业做完了没有，需不需要她签字，像妈妈一样。

奶奶对我更是疼爱，买菜时总会问我想吃什么，还顺便给我带些水果，零食回来，有好东西总会留给我。奶奶是这个家庭中不可缺少的人，全家人的生活起居都靠她照顾，十分辛苦。

而爷爷和爸爸的性格相反，爷爷不论是从外表看，还是从性格看都很凶。我们做一件什么事，他看见了都要唠叨几句，听着让人心烦。但爷爷很关心我，虽然嘴上说讨厌，但他出去时遇到什么好东西都会给我，典型的“刀子嘴豆腐心”。

这就是我的家庭，我们组成了一个和谐的家庭。虽然有时候也会有矛盾，有不满，但我们对亲人的爱是不可磨灭，永远存在的。

今天，都说是入冬以来最冷的一天，但也要比我的老家暖和的多了。此时的东北河水早已结冰，整个大地已是银装素裹，家乡的人们也早在一个月前就开始了“猫冬”。

我喜欢冬，虽然很冷，但是屋子里却总是烧的暖暖的，坐在热乎乎的炕头儿，嗑着瓜子惬意极了。冬天所有的农活都没有了，妈妈就能整天呆在家里陪我了。由于没事做，大人们也经常凑到一起玩扑克，打麻将（大多只是消遣，不是赌博哦）。而女人们个个都是那么的心灵手巧，给一家老小做鞋，织毛衣裤，钩拖鞋，绣花，做棉手闷子……完全都是纯手工做的，穿戴在身上既舒适有漂亮，尤其是给小孩做的小猫头鞋，比买回来的精致多了！

冬天，为孩子们准备了更好的礼物——天然的游乐场。孩子们三五一群，溜冰，打陀螺，堆雪人，打雪仗，坐冰爬犁等，玩的是热火朝天，全然淹没了冬的寒冷。白茫茫的雪地上留下一串串脚印，铜铃般的笑声响彻整个宁静村庄……

我喜欢冬，喜欢冬天里的雪，洁白的雪花飘飘洒洒，在阳光的照射下，闪闪发光。更喜欢雪后的大地，屋顶，树林，一片白皑皑的，就仿佛进入了童话的世界！

我喜欢冬，还有一个原因，那就是“冬天来了，春天还会远吗？”。冬天是宁静的，是纯洁的，从而净化人的心灵，而春天则是万物复苏的季节，生机勃然给人以新的希望……

如今，我已经外地生活，一切的一切已经渐渐的远去，但我依然喜欢冬，喜欢雪。前几天北京的第一场雪我已经错过了，有些遗憾。现在我特别希望下一场雪的到来。期望能看到银装素裹的北京。
