We cant live without water. But now water has become less and less because people waste water and pollute water. If we continue to do things like this, we shall destroy ourselves. So we should take action to improve the environment quickly. We shouldnt throw rubbish into the rivers. We should pay attention to environmental protection. We can use less water when we wash something. In a word, we should save water.

Environmental problems are becoming more and more serious all over the world.With the development of industry and agriculture,cars make great noises and give off poisonous gas.Trees on the hills have been cut down,and waste water is being poured continuously into rivers.Furthermore,wherever we go today,we can find rubbish carelessly disposed.The whole ecological balance of the earth is changing.Massive destruction of environment has brought about negative effects and even poses a great threat to mans existence.

我们生活的自然环境,是地球的表层,由空气、水和岩石(包括土壤)构成大气圈、水圈、岩石圈,在这三个圈的交汇处是生物生存的生物圈.这四个圈在太阳能的作用下,进行着物质循环和能量流动,使人类(生物)得以生存和发展.

据科学测定,人体血液中的60多种化学元素的含量比例,同地壳各种化学元素的含量比例十分相似.这表明人是环境的产物.人类与环境的关系,还表现在人体的物质和环境中的物质进行着交换的关系.比如,人体通过新陈代谢,吸入氧气,呼出二氧化碳；喝清洁的水,吃丰富的食物,来维持人体的发育、生长和遗传,这就使人体的物质和环境中的物质进行着交换.如果这种平衡关系破坏了,将会危害人体健康.

人类为了生存、发展,要向环境索取资源.早期,由于人口稀少,人类对环境没有什么明显影响和损害.在相当长的一段时间里,自然条件主宰着人类的命运.到了"刀耕火种"时代,人类为了养活自己并生存、发展下去,开始毁林开荒,这就在一定程度上破坏了环境.于是,出现了人为因素造成的环境问题.但因当时生产力水平低,对环境的影响还不大.

到了产业革命时期,人类学会使用机器以后,生产力大大提高,对环境的影响也就增大了.到本世纪,人类利用、改造环境的能力空前提高,规模逐渐扩大,创造了巨大的物质财富.据估算,现代农业获得的农产品可供养五十亿人口,而原始土地上光合作用产生的绿色植物及其供养的动物,只能供给一千万人的食物.由此可见,人类已在环境中逐渐处于主导地位.

但是,严重的环境污染和生态破坏也随着出现在人类面前.大气严重污染,水的资源空前短缺,森林惨遭毁灭,可耕地不断减少,大批物种濒临灭绝,人类赖以生存的自然环境正处在危机之中.日益恶化的环境向人类提出：保护大自然,维持生态平衡是当今最紧迫的问题.

有了美丽的环境才有健康的人类，有了人类才有文明的社会，环境—人类—文明这三者是息息相关的。

一个人不能离开水、空气、阳光、树木等等，这些资源一旦缺少，就会给人类的生存和发展带来威胁。树木能为人类挡风沙，绿化环境，制造二氧化碳，而近年来人类乱砍滥伐，使有些长距离传输型的大型沙尘暴影响了中国的中东部地区，还北移到了东北部的沈阳地区。每年的三至五月份，随着东亚的风向东南方向移动，给中国乃至日本、韩国等东亚国家造成沙尘暴、扬沙、风尘等恶劣气候。如果没有了树木，唯一能让人类生存的地球将会永远告别绿色，将永远披上枯燥的黄色外衣。在2004年巨大沙尘暴的产生让人类认识到了自然灾害的可怕，使人类把自然环境保护放在了第一位。那么，沙尘暴是怎样产生的呢？大风、不稳定气流和丰富的沙尘源是形成沙尘暴三个不可缺少的因素，树可以抵挡大风，固定沙尘源，所以人类不能缺少树木。

据统计，一亩树林一年可以吸收灰尘20—60吨；每天能吸收67公斤二氧化碳，释放49公斤氧气，足可供65个成年人呼吸；一亩树林一个月可以吸收有毒气体——二氧化硫千公斤；一亩松柏一昼夜能分泌出2公斤杀菌素，可杀死肺结核、伤寒、百喉、痢疾等疾病的病苗。这样就能净化空气，保障人们的身心健康。植树造林还能减少噪音，美化环境，保持生态平衡；为人们提供理想的学习、工作、娱乐和生活的环境。在意识到树木不可缺少这一点以后，人类开始种植树木：自1981年12月以来，中国全民义务植树累计超过350亿株。中国正在实施“三北”和长江中下游地区重点防护林建设、退耕还林还草、野生动植物保护及自然保护区建设、天然林保护等六大林业重点工程。至2000年底，中国的森林覆盖率已达16。55%，城市建城区人均公共绿地提高到6。52平方米，全国自然保护区总面积超过1亿公顷。据中国气象部门记录，20世纪50年代中国仅发生过5次强沙尘暴，进入90年代，则发生了23次。沙尘天气给中国社会经济造成了巨大的损失。环境污染使人类意识到环境保护的重要性。人类文明，无论在那一个发展阶段还是在整个的历史长河中，都是始终受制于人类对自然界的认识程度。当我们从这个意义上重新打量人类文明的功过时，我们便没有足够的信心来赞美今天的人类文明了，至少我们不能盲目地加以赞美。因为，直到目前，我们对自然界地认识还十分有限。可以确定无疑的是，人类只是大自然中的一员，人类的一切危害自然行为最终都将受自然的惩罚。因而，我们就不得不对当今的人类文明进行全面的检讨，也不得不对未来的人类文明深怀忧虑。

面对日益恶化的地球生态环境，人类至今都不肯放弃局部的利益，使自己的欲望日益膨胀。而人类欲望越强烈，对生态环境的、破坏也就越严重。 人类文明是地球生物圈里光照四方的伟大奇迹，它能否永久的延续下去，并不断达到新的文明高度，以致照耀久远未来的地球子民，它的命运就掌握在人类自己的手里。人类！醒悟吧！请珍惜我们赖以生存的地球，请真正做到“美丽环境——健康人类——文明发展”。

Good environment can make people feel happy and fit .To improve the environment means to improve our life.

We should plant more trees and flowers around us .We shouldn’t cut them down .We should stop factories from pouring waste water into the river and waste gas into the air.

Whenever we see litter on the ground ,we should pick it up and throw it into dusbins.Never spit in public.Don’t draw on public walls.It’s our duty to protect the environment.
