First, I found it difficult to understand what I read because most English words have more than one meaning. Besides, I found it difficult to write in idiomatic English or put Chinese into idiomatic English. Finally, I couldnt express in English orally because I had no opportunity to communicate with native English speakers. 今年四月到六月，我参加了20xx年“希望之星”英语风采大赛。这可是全国性的比赛哦！必须要闯过海选、市赛和省赛三关，才能去北京参加中央电视台的总决赛。

参加市赛的早上，我和妈妈坐车到了目的地。当时，太阳特别大，天特别热，而且人山人海。我们到了之后赶紧报到，接着就排队去比赛了。因为我是最后一个，等了好久才轮到我，裁判先让我抽图，准备看图说话，再自我介绍。我觉得自己前两个环节表现得挺好的，最后是回答问题，这个环节有点难，四个题中我只答出两个。紧接着裁判宣布结果，我心想：肯定有我！肯定有我！结果，真的有我！我拿了市赛一等奖，进入了省赛。

省赛的准备过程是非常艰难的，又是背台词，又是准备自我介绍，还有模拟考试。仅仅是看图说话环节，一训练就是一上午……

终于迎来了省赛。我怀着紧张的心情走进赛场，里面很安静，选手们都在努力地背词，我也不甘示弱。自我介绍环节，我们都做得非常好，看图说话环节就比较惨了，得知成绩后，我的心情非常低落，爸爸妈妈安慰我，要我别泄气，要我在下午最后一个环节加油，还特意给我复习了几遍演讲内容，我的心情又明朗起来。下午的比赛开始了，轮到我上场了，我站在台上，信心十足地完成了演讲，最后的分数还不错哦！

我的20xx年“希望之星”英语风采大赛结束了，虽然我没有踏上国赛舞台，但是我虽败犹荣！这个过程中，我见识到了那些高手们的厉害！我一定要好好学习英语！我一定会回来的！明年再战！

暑假我和小明去公园玩。我们兴高采烈地边走边聊。走着走着小明突然停下来。我不知道怎么回事，忙问他。他用手指了指垃圾箱说：“看，地上全是垃圾，咱们把它捡起来吧!”我不情愿地说：“这关你什么事!又不是你扔的”。他说：“老师告诉我们要保护环境，你忘了?”我只好说：“好吧”。可是我们一开始捡我就烦了。我一会儿去买吃的，一会儿上厕所，过了好长时间我也不回去，小明把垃圾拾完了我才过去。一位叔叔看见了指着小明说：“这孩子真好!”听了叔叔的话我知道自己做错了。我想：我一定要向小明学习，一定和他成为最好的朋友。

从那以后我和小明真的成了最好的朋友。

我有一个活泼、开朗的好朋友。

他大大的眼睛，弯弯的眉毛，短短的头发，一排洁白的牙齿，笑起来帅极了!

他高兴的时候眼睛眯成一条缝，张开大大的嘴巴，像河马一像，还露出两颗大大的门牙。你只要看到他笑，你也会跟着他笑。

他生气的时候，瞪着眼睛，咬着牙。如果旁边有桌子或者沙发，他就会敲一下。如果没有，他的拳头握得像馒头一样。

他寂寞的时候无精打采地垂着头，仿佛要哭出来。

这就是我的好朋友。你能猜出来他是谁吗?

我上五年级了，要说我最喜欢的新老师，那就是英语老师——王海梅。

王老师黑黑的，一张圆圆的脸，大大的眼睛上带着一副眼睛，红润的嘴巴旁边有两个逗人的小酒窝。

王老师虽然个子不高，但课上得十分精彩，她像一双无形的双手，把我们像磁铁一般吸引住了。王老师让有的组开火车朗读，如果你读得很好，口型、读音读正确的话，王老师会用欣赏的眼光表扬你：“Good！”。假如你读音跟口型都不正确的话，王老师会很耐心地把你教对。你读正确了，王老师会欣喜地说声：“Goog！”每当同学们被人夸奖之后，心里就像喝了蜜一样甜，脸上露出了灿烂的笑容。

我们班的调皮鬼——陶文星，上英语课竟然规规矩矩的，听得非常认真。那是因为第一节课的时候，陶文星把两个红色书签贴在自己的脸上，活像个逗人的小丑，同学们都哄堂大笑。王老师见了，微笑着说：“大家看，帅。”大家都被老师的话逗得哈哈大笑。

接着，老师语重心长地对陶文星说：“你看，大家都笑了，说明这个不帅，以后不要再玩了，好吗？”说完后，她就把陶文星脸上的书签撕了。陶文星也点了点头。

下课了，同学们都和王老师在一起玩，王老师跟我们一起谈谈自己生活和烦恼，这时她就是我们的知心朋友。

我喜欢我的英语老师，她幽默、平易近人、爱表扬人，我们都很喜欢她。

老师，你讲课的语言悦耳的像叮咚的山泉，亲切似潺潺的小溪，激越如奔泻的江流，下面我就带大家去看看这位老师。

我要说的这位老师呢，其实就是我们的英语老师。先来介绍一下我们的英语老师：英语老师长得十分可爱，有一双不大不小的眼睛，总是戴着一副红色框的眼镜，并且身材十分苗条，说话的时候也很幽默，大家都爱上她的课。

记得有一次上完英语课后，老师心平气和的对我们说，下一节课我们要玩一个非常好玩的游戏。顿时，安静地教室突然像炸开了的锅一样乱，欢呼声，尖叫声，交织在一起，欢欣雀跃。我也十分期待下一节的英语课。

终于到了星期五。“下一节课就是英语课了”！这时，教室里又乱了。“太棒了！太棒了”！有的人还拍着桌子，大叫。“太好了！太好了”！上课的铃声似乎比以往更响了。可是等了五分钟，还不见英语老师的人影。“难道今天又什么事不能来给我们上课”？我忐忑不安的想着。同学们把刚刚笑开了花的脸都低了下去，垂头丧气，大失所望。

就在这时，突然，听见走廊里有清脆的脚步声，“啊！是英语老师！太好了！”，教室里又开始欢呼起来了。“同学们，对不起来晚了，我们快一点学完这些单词，好快点做游戏”。“好”，同学们响亮的回答。才用了三十五分钟，我们就将两屏的单词全部都搞定了。学完之后，我们开始玩游戏了，同学们一个个都兴奋不已，这真是一节成功的英语课。

老师您用人类最崇高的感情——爱，播种了春天，播种理想，播种力量；用语言播种，用彩笔耕耘，用汗水浇灌，用心血滋润。

我爱大自然， 因为它的一年四季是那么的美丽!

瞧，春姐姐迈着轻盈的脚步来到了我们人间，这时候小鸟便“咕咕”地叫着，好像在说“春天来了，春天来了!”万物们伴着小鸟的叫声醒来了。小草冒出了嫩芽，小花们都盛开了，那沁人的香味令人心旷神怡!柳树的枝条上也长出了新的嫩芽。

看，夏哥哥拿着季节钥匙，开启了这道夏天之门，太阳公公热情似火，小草 晒弯了腰，池塘里荷花开了，令人眼花缭乱。小青蛙们一蹦一跳的，可开心了!小女孩们也都穿上了期盼已久的裙子了。

秋天来了，“大丰收”的季节来了，农民伯伯们都洋溢着快乐的笑容。秋天也是百花盛开的季节。深秋，枫叶变红了，然后，便会慢慢地落下来。

冬天也来了!所有植物都枯萎了，到处都是银装素裹。白雪，这冬天的使者，给大地穿上了一件白色的衣服，让大地 涣然一新。
