As we all know, pollution is harmful to living beings. There are many

different types of pollutions in this world. For instance, water pollution, air

pollution, noise pollution and so on. Water pollution cause many kinds of

disease that have negative effects on human beings, sometimes the diseases will

take people’s life away. Dirty air will increase the rate of getting lung

cancer. While the noise pollution will cause insomnia. People’s health condition

will be damaged.

In my humble opinion, people should take measures to control the pollution.

Recently, not only the government, but also individual has taken part in the

action of protecting the environment. This is a good sign. Rivers are being

cleaned, air is purified, and the people come to realize that the importance of

protecting the environment.

However, this is not enough, the problems are still exist. Not all of them

have been solved. Some factories are still pouring dirty water into the rivers

or give off the toxic gas into the sky. We should know that protecting the

environment needs everybody’s effort.

八岁那年的暑假，我和爸爸去姥姥家的西瓜地里摘西瓜。爸爸选了一个很大的西瓜，抱到小山坡跟前，准备回家。突然，电话铃声响起来，我们的邻居大声说：“你们家的水管裂了，赶快回来!”爸爸一听，急了!他慌忙对我说：“你把西瓜弄回姥姥家，我先回家去修水管。”我瞪着眼睛，还没弄明白怎么回事，爸爸已经一路小跑地回家去了。

西瓜地离姥姥家不远，可是，这么大个的西瓜，我可抱不动。坐在小山坡边，我托着腮帮子想办法：记得有一次，我和舅舅去田里摘南瓜，我们选了一个最大个的，比篮球还大。我惊奇地问舅舅：“这么大个的南瓜，怎么抱回家呢?”舅舅说：“我自有办法。”只见他把南瓜侧立起来，扶着边缘，让它滚动着回家。我边走边问：“舅舅，南瓜这样滚回家不会破吗?”舅舅说：“没事，南瓜皮厚着呢。”就那样，我们把南瓜滚回了家。

想到这里，我灵机一动：西瓜的皮也厚着呢，而且比南瓜更圆，更容易滚回家。对!就这么办，把西瓜滚回家!

我让西瓜在地上滚啊滚，我的双手控制着不让它滚偏，没多久，我就把西瓜滚回了姥姥家。

傍晚的时候，爸爸妈妈来吃饭，饭后大家边聊天边说：“吃个西瓜消消暑吧。”妈妈把我滚回家的那个大西瓜抱到案板上，一切，天哪!鲜红的西瓜肉全成了西瓜汁。妈妈奇怪地问我：“你是怎么把西瓜弄回家的?”爸爸也蹲下来，温和地问我：“你怎么抱的?”

我把事情的经过说给他们听，他们听完后，个个笑得前俯后仰，我那时候不知道他们笑什么，也跟着他们笑起来。那天傍晚，我们每人喝了一碗西瓜汁。

I am terribly sorry that I failed to arrive at BLCU last Friday. I hope that this did not mess you up completely, although I know that you had already made some special arrangements for my visit with you parents and friends. I am very sorry about all that. I am sure you will be sympathetic, however, when I tell you that my father is dangerously ill in hospital, and that I found it impossible to leave for the visit when he is in this state.

My father was working very hard on his project on protecting the environment. I know the project has come to a very important stage. He and his assistants did not take regular rest for three weeks. Last night, my father had a heart attack and was soon sent to the hospital. The doctor said my father was in a very serious situation, and, he might need an operation.

24 hours have passed. Nothing has changed. I have to stay at the hospital. I will let you know if there is any good news.

I am sorry again and look forward to seeing you soon.

经过了忙碌的考试，期待已久的暑假终于来了!暑假多好哇，有一口咬到可以从发梢一直凉到脚尖的冰淇凌;可以玩到星星和月亮都打瞌睡的时候才睡觉;第二天可以睡到太阳晒到屁股的时候再起床……可是，暑假不仅有这些美好的东西，还有——补习班!当天晚上，妈妈就兴致勃勃的对我说：“璐璐呀，妈妈给你报了一个补习班，你看好不好呢?”“那门呢?”我心不在焉的问。“语、数、英，三门，明天开始。啊，对了!语文和数学天天上，英语……你看怎么样?”

“还行吧。”(心里话：一点也不好!)第二天，我正在做美梦，妈妈走到我的旁边说:“起床了。”

我被妈妈惊醒了，便央求妈妈：“再睡一会儿嘛。”“不行!”妈妈断然拒绝。没办法，我只好起床，胡乱吃了几口早饭，便到了名师堂。我到时，老师还没有来，教室里乱作一团。有吧唧吧唧吃薯片的;有哧溜哧溜喝牛奶的;有叽里呱啦聊天的;还有哐啷哐啷摇桌子的。过了一会儿，老师来了，教室里立刻安静了下来。开始上课了，老师拿出了今天的试卷叫我们做，下课了，我们交了卷，便走了。

第二天，老师对我说：“你的表现真不错。”还把昨天的试卷给我看，我一看，居然得了97分，我开心极了 。就这样，烦恼事就变成了乐事。

Last week, my parents told me the good news that my family would go camping

with my uncle’s family. I felt so excited about it, because I could spend the

whole night outside, which never happened before. When the day came, we brought

the equipment and bought some food. In the afternoon, the two families settled

down, then we started to walked around. My cousins and I rushed to the forest

and went to the highest point, where we can appreciate the whole sight. Standing

on the highest place, I felt so great. The world was in front of my eyes and I

thought of the old poets’ description. At night, we set the the fire and talked

happily. The parents were talking about the family chores and the kids were

playing games. It was such a happy moment for me.

我们把准备好的玩的东西拿出来，不出所料，都拿的是水枪。接着，游戏开始了，我们把水枪装满水，再拿一个“盾牌”护着身子。“上啊!”弟弟叫道。“呯呯，哈哈，弟弟的裤子被我打湿了!”弟弟脸上全是愤怒，心想：“看我不打败你!”

“呯呯，太棒了!”妹妹叫起来，开心极了，可我，上衣湿透了。“冲!”弟弟说道，“噗通”一声，水面上溅起一阵阵水花，怎么了呢，哦，原来，弟弟摔倒了，“我的_好疼呀!”“那我们就不玩这个游戏吧，不如，玩捉鱼呢，我经常在这一带看到许多的小鱼!”妹妹建议道。“好呀!”我和弟弟异口同声地应和。

这是我暑假生活的一小部分，一个多彩又有意义的暑假，我多么欣喜，多么快乐，而我更希望每年的寒暑假都在这样的欢笑中度过。

就在快上中学的时候，小学的同学在QQ群里发出公告，星期六下午2：00准时骑车到学校集合。听到这个消息，我欣喜万分，高兴得手舞足蹈，一蹦三尺高。心想：这肯定又是出去玩耍发出的公告。

星期六下午我骑着车早早的来到了学校，却发现已经来了许多人。待人数到齐后，大家排成长队出发了。一路上，大家始终保持着队伍，远看就好像一条长龙，街上看到的人都议论纷纷。

不一会儿，便到达目的地--龟湖公园。我们驶进龟湖公园一旁的小路，发现前边不远的地方有一个旋转喷头，水四处飞溅，像空降兵一样轻轻的落到了草地上，滋润草坪。我放下车，像出了膛的炮弹一样。我的身体忽然不由自主地向它冲去，好像停也停不下来似的。

这时水向我飞射过来，把我淋成了落汤鸡，大家立即笑得前俯后昂，合不开嘴。我呆呆地站在那儿，不知所措。这时，水流又一次向我喷射过来，淋得我一身，于是他们笑得更得意、更猖狂了。就在这一刻，我突发其感，立即拿起喷射头旋转器的中间，转到了他们所处的位置，趁他们还在笑的时候，我趁其不备，喷了过去把他们淋了一身湿，于是我也跟着哈哈大笑起来。就这样我报了这一“箭”之仇。他们看到自己这副模样，便像凶狠的恶狼朝我冲了过来，我惊慌失措，不知怎么办。望着四处飞溅的水，我立即拿起来向他们喷射过去。待他们到达水龙头的地方，大家便像杀得红眼的恶魔一样争来夺去，都想霸占住这个“王位”。

就这样，大家都没分出胜负来，个个都累得倒在这碧绿的草地上，仰望天空。望着天空大家都开心地笑了，笑得那么的灿烂，那么的甜蜜……

这就是我的暑假生活其中的一天，一天开心的趣事!

With the harsh competition in todays society, more and more people

complain about their stress in their daily life. Stress mainly comes from our

work, study and families. When we feel stressed, we often have bad moods on the

day and cant sleep well at night. Thats too bad for our health. To help ease

stress, some good ways are suggested. Firstly, we can chat with our parents and

friends. Maybe they can give us some good advice. Secondly, we ought to do some

exercise, which can help us have a nice sleep at night. Moreover, we are

supposed to balance our life with more outdoor activities, so as to make our

life more colorful and vivid.

今天晚上，天空中下着小雨，爸爸和妈妈要带我去吃皮肚面。我们路过一个小公园时，我发现路边有许多ofo共享单车，便心血来潮，让爸爸教我学骑车。

妈妈帮我解锁了一辆小黄车，我们找了个相对空旷的地方，便开始练习了。一开始，爸爸先骑了一圈，给我做了一个示范，然后手把手的教我如何起步。我看了，马上学他的动作，可惜失败了，之后，爸爸又告诉我，准备好了后，踩在踏板上的脚一定要用力去踩踏板，而撑在地上的那只脚一定要用力去蹬，这么做是为了让自己车在启动时有足够的动力，这样就比较容易控制了，如果动力不足，又无法稳住方向，人就很容易摔倒了。我听了后，似懂非懂地点了点头。随后，我又开始了第二次尝试。我按着爸爸说的那样，一步一步去做，可当我踩下踏板的那一刻，感觉那踏板有千斤重，怎么也使不上劲，妈妈看了，鼓励我再试一次，可我连试了好几次，都失败了，我想了想，也许是我的动力不够，于是，我在蹬地的时候又用了点劲，哈哈，这回动力是足够了，可我的方向感和平衡感又出了差错，我差点栽进了草丛里。我不甘心，又试了几次，但不知道为什么，自行车像一头暴躁的公牛，总是不停我的话。

这时，天渐渐暗了下来，呀，我们只顾着学车，忘记去吃晚饭了，妈妈说明天我们再来练习吧，今天是我第一次学骑车，真是“出师不利”呀!

暑假的一天，爸爸妈妈带我到好运岛游玩。我们在景点售票区买了票，登上一艘大船，大船很快就驶进了千岛湖。湖水很清澈，两岸的山很翠绿，风景非常优美。妈妈给我拍了几张照片做纪念，我摆了很多可爱的造型。

很快，好运岛就到了，我们随着游客们一起登上了好运岛，远远就看见了前面大石头上刻着“好运岛”三个大字。我就迫不及待地拉着爸爸妈妈跑到大石块下拍了合影，照片记录下了我们幸福的一家。

我们跟着导游来到了孔雀园，孔雀的羽毛五顔六色，美丽极了。开始的时候孔雀胆子可小了，我们一靠近它们，它们就吓跑了。于是，妈妈给了我一些玉米，我把玉米撒向孔雀身边，慢慢的孔雀就主动地走到我的身边，吃着撒在我脚边的玉米粒，孔雀们争着来抢玉米吃，它们真可爱!

我们离开了孔雀园，来到了猴园。猴子们实在是太调皮了。我扔了一些饼干给猴子们，它们吃光了，居然还想来抢我手上的饼干。

猴子表演开始了，它们可机灵了。猴子们会翻跟斗，打蓝球，还会和游客握手呢!它们会做各种各样的杂技表演，游客们的鼓掌声越大，它们就表演的越卖力。

天快黑了，我们依依不舍地登上了回家的船，这是我最开心的一天，也是最难忘的一天。

Everybody will meet all kinds of difficulties during their lives, of

course, they are willing to accept success, but the fact is that no one can win

all the time, they will meet failure now and then. Fail is an unpleasant thing

to face, people treat fail a bad thing. While for me, I think we can learn from

failure and be a better man.

Everyone is afraid of facing failure, because failure brings them the sense

of frustration. When facing failure, people choose to avoiding talking about it,

they feel that they will be looked down upon by others. Indeed, no one likes to

failure anything, they want to be successful all the time.

If people change their idea about failure, they can see the positive side.

There is an old saying that failure is the mother of success, which means that

people will learn from failure and make preparation for the success. So failure

今年的暑假特别的热，那里都没有去，孩子乖乖地上幼儿园，大人乖乖地在家看书和上班。奶奶早早地就回老家、放假了。这样的天气，看来只能好好地呆着了，所以，我们都在学习上取得了突飞猛进的进步，小公主的舞蹈经过假期的集训，也是跳的有模有样了。

今天妈妈他们早上继续开会，我趁着这个时间把带的语文书给背了下。因为我还差两篇就背完语文书了。我背书时，小虎妞好奇的看着我。我被她看的不好意思了，就背对着她默默地背书。

她是一个小胖子，整个身子上全是肉，小脸也是圆圆的。她是我妈妈同事的女儿，今年六岁了。与我住一个房间。她的嘴巴可馋了，___妈不让她吃零食，因为她太能吃了，所以吃成了个小胖子。___妈要她节食，于是她趁我背书时，把我的零食包包打开，自己在里面找吃的。我开始没注意她，也没注意她翻了我的包。结果我发现她正在吃的零食好像是我带来的，才发现她在偷吃。真是郁闷死我了，让她不要吃太多，不然___会骂你，可她不听，还在吃。还说我的零食好吃，她很喜欢。

这个暑假里我经历了一件特别有趣的事——摸田螺。

那天，我和妈妈来到了外婆家，外婆说：“来得真巧，我正想去摸田螺呢，你们去不去?”我一听，头点得如同小鸡啄米，连声说：“好!好!去!”

我们一大家子来到了一片种满树的水塘边。外婆说：“到了，就是这里。”然后只见她脱鞋挽裤，两脚轻轻踩进水塘，弯下腰，两只手伸进水里，慢慢摸索着。一分钟不到外婆就扔上来又大又肥的田螺，这是我第一次见到这么田螺，它模样和螺丝差不多，但个头比螺丝大多了，如果不仔细看有可能还以为是大螺牛呢!因为田螺也躲在自己的房子里，出来的时候跟蜗牛一样有触角。看着外婆在水塘里那潇洒的样子，我的手开始痒痒了，嚷着也要摸。妈妈说：“好啊，可以的。不过，其实你可先去捡落到水塘里的树枝，那上面说不定就有田螺。”听了妈妈的话，我先走到掉落了很多树枝的地方，轻轻的拿起一根，哇，真的有好几个田螺紧紧地吸在上面。我赶紧叫妈妈、外公和舅妈来把田螺拿下来，但是等他们赶到的时候田螺己经掉光了，气得我直跺脚。但是我没放弃，我继续像刚才一样小心翼翼地挑了一根树枝拿起来，这次妈妈眼疾手快从木棍上一下拿了两颗田螺，这可把我高兴坏了。

我跟妈妈说：“妈妈您看外婆都摸到这么多了，我可以下去摸吗?妈妈爽气地说：“可以。”我卷起裤腿，衣服拧上来，小心翼翼地把脚伸进水里，一伸进去我就被淤泥陷进去，水到了大腿这，我吓得脸色发白，一动都不敢动。妈妈跟我说：“没关系的，慢慢走，别急。”我鼓起勇气像外婆那样把手伸在前面，脚轻轻地向前面移动，过了好长时间我一无所获，但是我没有泄气，我继续摸着田螺。摸呀摸，我终于摸到了!我欣喜若狂地叫了起来：“妈妈快来看看我摸到的田螺，它好大啊!”妈妈笑着说：“傻瓜，别看田螺了，看看你自己吧，看你这背带裤里好都在灌水了。”我闻声低头一看，才发现我已全身湿透，外公他们仰天大笑。

I was born in 1968, and I went to school from 1973 to 1988. In 1987 I took the General Certificate of Education, and I got good grades in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. After leaving school, I attended the Orient Technical College, where I first studied Fiber Technology and Color Chemistry; later I studied other subjects related to textile manufacture, and in 1991 I obtained the Diploma in Textiles.

After completing my studies, I joined the Top Clothing Company where I worked until 1996. In that year I moved to Prior Productions, who was pleased with my work, and as a result, in 1998, I was promoted to Assistant Works Manager there.

I enjoy my work, and I am prepared to work hard. Moreover, I am sure that Prior Productions would give me an excellent reference. I therefore feel that my application deserves your serious consideration.

回想今年的暑假，让我最难忘的是:和班上四位同学相约，一起去南京摩尔街看国际冰雕展。

7月29日，我们约好早晨七点在六合方州广场地铁南站出口处集合，大家都很守时6：55，五位家长及孩子都到齐了。近一个月没见的我们，特别开心！我们买了地铁票，乘S8号线向南京出发，大家一起有说有笑，不知不觉就到了摩尔街站。出了地铁站，我们步行来到了冰雕展览馆。工作人员对我们说:“现在外面温度35度左右，馆里面可是零下5度左右啊！你们最好租件大衣穿进去。”妈妈付了钱，我穿上了厚厚的棉大衣，汗流浃背，一进门，似乎让我感觉从夏天，一下子穿越到了北国之城，寒冷的冬天。

让我眼前一亮，好美啊！冰雕晶莹剔透，我们仿佛走进了梦幻般的童话世界，有城堡，有滑滑梯，有雪橇，还有一些熟悉的动漫人物，例如：忍者神龟，大白，功夫熊猫……它们似乎在向我们挥手，欢迎我们的到来。

真好又到暑假了，但暑假里的色彩，却总是那么单一，终于我今天发现，那一片蓝蓝的暑假，蓝蓝的天。

今天漫步在路上，头不由的仰望了一下天空，啊!真的好蓝，蓝的很干净，放假以来我第一次看到，这么美的天空，我喜欢天空的颜色，而今天的天空刚更让我不由自主的就这样定格在路上，那种感觉真的好舒服，好轻松，所有的烦恼在那一瞬间烟消云散。

一次新的体验 A new experience

Yesterday I did commonweal in library to earn my public service

scores(which is similar to the compulsory credits).I arrived library at 8’clock

in the morning,a librarian let me to wipe the mirror in every toilet from one to

six floor.Then I started to wipe the mirrors.It was been two hours after I

finished all work.I was very tired,but looking at the shiny and clean mirrors I

had wiped, I felt very happy.To be honest,I had never done the things like it at

home,so it was a new experience to me,and it make me realize the hard work of my

parent.

就开始擦镜子了。等我完成了所有的工作，已经过去两个小时了。我非常地累，但是看着被我擦得干净闪亮的镜子，我感到很开心。说实话，我在家里从来没有做过像这样的事情，所以，这对我来说是一次新的体验，这也让我体会到了父母的艰辛。
