I am a third year master major in automation at ×× University, P. R. China. With tremendous interest in Industrial Engineering, I am writing to apply for acceptance into your Ph.D. graduate program.

Education background

In 1995, I entered the Nanjing University of Science & Technology (NUST) -- widely considered one of the China’s best engineering schools. During the following undergraduate study, my academic records kept distinguished among the whole department. I was granted First Class Prize every semester,In 1999, I got the privilege to enter the graduate program waived of the admission test.

At the period of my graduate study, my overall GPA(3.77/4.0) ranked top 5% in the department. In the second semester, I became teacher assistant that is given to talented and matured students only. This was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product.In retrospect, I find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and experience, which has prepared me for the Ph.D. program. My future research interests include: Network Scheduling Problem, Heuristic Algorithm research (especially in GA and Neural network), Supply chain network research, Hybrid system performance analysis with Petri nets and Data Mining.

读到这里，大家一定会认为我很调皮，捣蛋。不过，正因为有了平时的疯玩，在学习时我得更加努力，从而保证我的学习成绩直线上升。这学期，我还当了班里的学习班长，刘老师这么器重我，我一定会加倍努力的。

我叫梁XX，是三年级的小学生。高挑的个子，乌黑发亮的长发，白净的瓜子脸，再加上我生性活泼、宽容大度，大家都很喜欢我。

我最大的优点是不计较别人的过失。去年过生日的时候，哥哥不小心打翻了墨砚，墨汁洒了我一裙子——那可是我当天刚穿上的新裙子呀！看到我的裙子被染上了大大小小的黑“花”，弄得一塌糊涂时，哥哥傻眼了……看到哥哥手足无措的样儿，我心里纵是万般不舒服，但也只能装着无所谓的样子，微微一笑，说：“没事，下次小心点。再说这裙子我也不怎么喜欢．正想送人呢……”

我还非常大方。有一次，一个朋友来我家写作业，我知道她特别喜欢吃甜点，于是，我想了一个绝妙的办法。对她说：“我家有你喜欢吃的甜点，而我现在又不想吃，也不喜欢吃。你现在吃得下吗？”她一听到我家有甜点，马上回答我：“吃得下，只要有甜点，再多我也吃得下。”听了她的话，我才可以放心的把甜点拿出来给她吃。看到她吃得津津有味，我打算生日的时候请她吃蛋糕。
