No one，regardless of race, religion or nationality, can deny that the world we live in is becoming increasingly intolerable because of the effects of global warming. According to many experts, even greater impacts are still on the way.

There are numerous causes for this problem. On one hand, human-related emissions of carbon into the atmosphere is causing, and will in the future cause, significant global warming according to the theory. On the other hand, the lack of knowledge about the importance of protecting environment hinders the solving of the problem.

It is urgent that immediate and effective actions should be taken right away. First, more trees need to be planted to help improve and beautify the environment. Besides, stricter laws concerning global warming and irresponsible use of fuel resources have to be put into effect and achieved good results. Many people are active in fighting against unfair treatment to colored people, women , animals and so on. Right now I am talking about fighting for respect to our environment.Though the environment doesnt have a mouth done to deprecate what humans have done to her, she retaliates through action. In the early years the Chinese cut down large quantities of trees, at the source of the yellow river, which led to the disappearance of big forests and terrible floods. As a result, the Huangtu plateau which once was once covered with grass and forests was turned into barrens that supported fewer plants. Another example was in several developed countries.

Because many chemical factories discharged poisonous gas without filtering it, poisonous cities were covered with so much poisonous gas that people were killed by the air they breathed in. 但是，这种危害难道不是我们人类自己造成的吗?难道人类在面对自己的“杰作”时，就这么无能为力、束手无策吗?

由于人类不加节制地砍伐森林，大量排放污水、废气，使得全球环境迅速恶化。原来蔚蓝的天空变得灰暗了，清澈的河水变得浑浊了，热闹的森林也变得冷清了。大量排放二氧化碳这种温室气体，又使全球出现了温室效应，导致全球气温变暖，海平面上升，又给一些国家带来了严重的灾难。

虽然环境还在继续恶化，但世界各国都在积极地应对着。这说明，人类已经开始觉悟了，我们人类终于认识到了保护环境的重要性。现在，国际上于1972年6月5日至16日在瑞典斯德哥尔摩举行联合国人类环境会议以及世界地球日、世界海洋日、世界环境日也都给地球带来一些宽慰。毕竟，人类“懂事”了。

It was a sun day of the summer holiday. The weather was hot. My little brother and I decided to go to the resrvoir to swim by bike. It took us half an hour when we got there, many people were swimming. The we dived into the water……

About an hour later, suddenly somebody called: “help! help!” We were surprised to see a boy struggling in the deep water. As quickly as possible. We swam towards him and pulled him to the shore. He lost his consciousness. We sent him to the nearest hospital at once luckily, he was saved.

In the end, we were worn out, but felt happy. That day was meaningful. We did a good deed!
