Environmental pollution is a serious social problem. It poses a terrible threat to men’s health.

To our joy, we have two underground lines and many more are being built. We seldom find traffic jam in rush hours. So we dont have to worry about going out. With the development of science and technology, the transportation in Shanghai will become all the better.

当我们真实的看到这一个景象的时候，是否会从心里忏悔，为这一个原本优美的小镇而叹气。保护环境，需要我们从身边做起，我们的家园是我们赖以生存的地方，家园的环境需要我们每一个人的自觉与爱护。

每个人肯定都希望我们的家园环境美好，有着蓝天白云，有着红花绿树，还有着在枝头欢叫的小鸟，有着在追逐的小狗……我们都向往着这样的一种生活，但这种生活不会凭空而来，需要的是我们一起努力。打造一个这样美好的家园，这样的计划说起来貌似很难，但是，若将这其中的任务一件件的分配到每一个人的身上，也不过是我们手头上的一件小事。

只要我们能够自觉的将手上的垃圾丢进相应的垃圾桶里，这也就算是为我们家园的环境出了一份力。若是我们还能将被风吹跑的垃圾，把那些丢在路上，草地里的垃圾弯腰捡起，这更是值得我们所有人学习的一件事。

爱护环境，只有我们每一人从自己开始做起，我们家园的环境才会美好，我们也才会迎来一个理想中的美好环境。但是我们不能将事情寄托到其他人身上，将这件属于每一个人责任的事情从自己身上撇开，这不仅是一种逃避责任的行为，还是一种叫身边其他人瞧不起的一种行为。

爱护环境，从我们的双手开始做起，用自己的行动来呼唤起身边人的行动，让我们一起来铸就一个美好的家园。这个家园里有着清新的空气，充满着着大自然的气息。

In recent years, the volunteering spirit has spread among the Chinese people, especially among youngsters. According to a survey, in 2008, there were about 1,700,000 volunteers who offered service for Olympic Games. Actually, an increasing number of people become volunteers every year in China.

Volunteering is of tremendous benefits to both those in need and the society. Olympic Games are a good example. As is known to all, volunteers played an active role in Beijing Olympic Games. Without them, it would be a tough task to hold this un-precedent Olympic Games. Therefore, we can say that it was those volunteers who ensured the success of these games.

As modern college students, we should get actively involved in volunteering actions.
