I have got a lot of interesting scientific knowledge from the books of National Geographic Reading Expeditions, some of which are about life, physics. I really can’t help losing myself in the colorful pictures and clear words in the books. After reading the books, I have been considering a question: What if we lived without science? Great changes have taken place in the world with the help of science. In the past, life was nasty, brutish and short. It is hard to imagine how our forefathers could do without so many conveniences that modern science brings about. Back then, only a small group of people enjoyed the very few comforts. But the majority of people didn’t even have sufficient food, let along their privilege to be educated. Anyway, it is science that changes the world and makes people’s life better and better, although it also leads to some bad aspects at the same time.

From the discovery of the gravity to the first step on the moon, we human beings have experienced a long process of developing science. And now, this process is still continuing much faster. New organisms are already being engineered, and new genetically modified crops promise benefits from higher yields and less use of harmful chemicals and so on. A lot of examples are showing this point. In the future, changes are likely to be even much greater as science reaches out to shape life itself. Maybe one day, the possibility that life existed on Mars billions of years ago will be potentially one of the greatest discoveries of our time. It is the force of the competition, we human beings’ inquiring mind and initiative that bring about the non-stopped development of science. Therefore, it is difficult and impossible to prevent science from changing the world and our life as well.

At present, we are in two minds about science. On the one hand, we are enjoying the sweet life as a result of the evelopment of science, and expect it to continue. And we are showing our interests into some scientific expeditions, such as the astronomy, the alien civilization, etc. On the other hand, we are distrustful of it, due to the lack of understanding of science. Some people thus far are still very superstitious, and they would even believe in superstitions rather than believe in science.

Stephen Hawking, one of the most remarkable scientists in the world, once said, “In a democratic society, the public needs to have a basic understanding of the science, so that it can make informed decisions and not leave them in the hands of experts.” This has reminded me of Professor Alan G. MacDiarmid from America, the person who got the Nobel Prize for chemistry in the year of XX. In his lecture at Peking University this year, he put forward that science is people. He also expounded the importance of the basic science for the public. Evidently, every one of us does need science, or we can’t live without it.

Now that everyone needs science, why not take advantage of some means to give the public the right basic scientific knowledge? So when they face the problems such as acid rain, the greenhouse effect, nuclear weapons, environment destruction and some other problems, they can also make informed decisions on these subjects, just as what Hawking said. One aspect relies on what is taught in schools. But science is often taught in an uninteresting way and most students just learn it by rote to pass examinations. However, the final goal of learning science is not to pass examinations or to get a higher score; instead, we should try to make full use of it to change our world and life. While learning, we should try to ask more questions and we should have the courage of suspecting the knowledge in the books, as some of the scientific conclusions are likely to be corrected in the future. Who knows. So not only must we change our attitude towards science, but also the way of teaching and learning science.

今天，我看了一本书，书名叫《朝花夕拾》，我看完了，深有感触。

这本书是鲁迅和艾青两个著名作家写的。里边有许许多多的诗篇及其文章，都很感人，其中，我觉第一章"狗。猫。鼠"最为好看，全篇以议论为中心，中间穿插描述童年时代的生活，脉络清晰。有"正人君子"的攻击，回想到作者自身过往的经历，使作品的论证更具有说服力。而且细致的细节描写，显示出隐鼠的柔弱和敌人的残暴，是作品更具有感染力。《朝花夕拾》是作者从"记忆力抄出来的"，大多数用来凝练的笔法摘取那些深藏在记忆里的难忘的生活片段加以描述，选择具有象征意义的情节和细节描写人物的神情心态，使作品的生活气息更加浓厚，人物形象更加鲜明动人。文章虽着墨不多，但渺渺数笔，却刻画出人物的独特个性，如长妈妈的淳朴善良、辛于革命失败后范爱农的苦闷和放浪等，给读者以深刻的印象，具有很高的文学价值。

《朝花夕拾》给我的感受深深印在心里，这本书相信在长大后再次回头来看的时候，你会觉得别有一番风味，会觉得鲁迅和艾青写的散文和诗集是多么得重要。

读了这本书，我体会冉阿让的正直、芳丁那的母爱，珂塞特的不幸与万幸，德纳第的心狠手辣，沙威的冷酷和马洛斯保家卫国的精神。我明白了正直，善良，与冷酷，邪恶。

寒假,我读了高尔基的自传体小说《童年》，它给我的感触颇深。

它向我们艺术地展示了阿廖沙在黑暗社会追求光明的奋斗历程，还有十九世纪七十到八十年代的俄国社会风貌。3岁的时候，父亲病故，母亲就带阿廖沙回了娘家。可惜外公是个自私而又专横的小业主，但是资本主义俄国的发展打断了外公发财的好梦，从此破产以至于贫困潦倒。可怜的母亲改嫁之后，生病而死，十一岁的作者被外公残忍地赶出了家门，到社会上自谋生路……其实，阿廖沙的原型就是高尔基本人，高尔基借阿廖沙这个人物来描述自己的童年。高尔基用真实优美的文笔描述了自已苦难而令人难以置信童年.

我们现在丰衣足食，要什么有什么，又是父母的“掌上明珠”、“心肝宝贝”哪能和高尔基那悲惨的童年相提并论，年代的不同就是这差别，一个是天堂，一个是地狱；一个充满陽光，一个到处黑暗。我们现在的童年来之不易啊！童年充满着欢乐，童年到处是温暖，童年是值得回忆的相机，童年爱满心窝！而高尔基的童年除了一些教育和友谊，没有什么再值得回忆！

假如我们生活俄国沙皇时期又会怎么样？会认为那根本不是人生活的地方吗？我们不仅要珍惜眼前的幸福，而且要学会制造幸福。屠格涅夫说过：“屠格涅夫说过：“想要得到幸福，你首先要学会吃得起苦。”美好的生活必须有所付出，才会长久，有所争取，才会得到.

I watched the movie "beauty and beast"this vacation.Its romantic love story.Bell is a very kind and beastuiful girl,living with her father in a small town,and the prince is a selfish guy trapped in a beasts body for his rudeness angering the enchantress.The beast has to find a person willing to fall in love with him.Then,in a occation,it met Bell and gradually fould out that Bell is a lovely girl and begin to fall in love with her, so it went to any length to help her.Bell was finally moved and fell in love with it and the prince escaped from the beasts body and led a happy life for ever.

Love is the topic of the whole story which can change any dark and evil stuff.Love means everything，and this is the reason the movie can get into the gate of Oscar.The real world is full of war and darkness，which turns peoples life in to chaos.Humans life lacks of Love,and if the love exists,humen have the power and the dream and the ideal "man can conquer nature"will no longer be a myth.

《西游记》里面描写了许多栩栩如生的人物，一心想修得正果的唐僧，降妖除魔、神通广大的孙悟空;贪生怕死又好吃贪睡的猪八戒;老实忠诚、默默无闻的沙和尚。他们历经九九八十一难，到西天取得了真经。

他们取得真经靠的什么?靠的是顽强的意志、坚持不懈的精神，大慈大悲的胸襟，才能到达遥远的古印度。他们一路上遇到的困难和坎坷无数，他们只有依靠这种精神才能战胜一切，越过陡峭的大山，跨过宽广的大河。

只因为孙悟空、猪八戒、沙和尚具有高超的武功和孙悟空的火眼金睛，在辨别什么是妖怪，什么是普通的凡人，孙悟空与唐僧彼此间产生了许多矛盾和误解。

比如说，《西游记》中最精彩的片段是“三打白骨精”中的白骨精非常狡猾，他想长生不老，就想捉住唐僧吃唐僧的肉。于是他想了一个办法，想借助孙悟空不在这一机会对唐僧痛下杀手，因为唐僧一向是以慈悲为怀，所以这个办法成功率很高。果然孙悟空去为唐僧化缘了，白骨精发现这是天赐良机，便变作一个年满十八岁的女子走到了唐僧面前，用花言巧语哄骗了唐僧和剩下的两个徒弟。

刚要下手，孙悟空就回来了，他用火眼金睛认出来是白骨精举棒便打，不料，白骨精把假尸留下，真身回到了白骨洞。唐僧本想把孙悟空赶走，在两位徒弟的劝说下，孙悟空便留了下来。故事中唐僧第一次误会了孙悟空。接下来，白骨精接二连三的变化，都被孙悟空识破。到了第三次变化，孙悟空忍无可忍。举棒打死了白骨精。唐僧以为孙悟空接二连三的行凶，把孙悟空赶走了。这次唐僧真的误会了孙悟空，本来孙悟空的目的是保护唐僧，没想到却错以为行凶杀人。

读了《西游记》之后，我想，如果我也能像孙悟空那样神通广大的话，我要让世界的每个角落都没有垃圾，让世界变得更加美丽;我要把世界上所有的坏人都抓起来，让这个世界没有小偷和强盗，没有战争，让所有的人都能过上幸福的生活。

A tale of two cities is one of Dickenss most important representative works.The novel profoundly exposed the society contradiction before the French Revolution,intensely attacks the aristocratic social class is dissolute and cruel,and sincerely sympathizes with the depressed classes.The novel also described many magnificent scenes like the revolt people attacked Bastille and so on,which displayed peoples great strength.

The novel has portrayed many different people. Doctor Manette is honest and kind but suffers the persecution actually ， Lucie is beautiful and gentle ，Charles is graceful and noble，Lorry is upright and honest ，Sydney is semblance of indifferent, innermost feelings of warm,unconventional but also selfless and lofty，Miss Pross is straightforward and loyal，vremonde brothers are cruel and sinister......The complex hatred is hard to solve, the cruel revenge has made more hatreds, loves rebirth in the hell edge,but take the life as the price.

As an outstanding writer,in Dickenss work,the language skill is essential.ach kind of rhetoric technique,like the analogy,the exaggeration,the contrast,the humorous,and the taunt are handled skillfully,and the artistry of the work is also delivered the peak.A tale of two cities has its difference with the general historical novel, its character and the main plot are all fictionalizes.With the broad real background of the French Revolution,the author take the fictional character Doctor Manettes experience as the main clue,interweaves the unjust charge, love and revenge three independences but also incident cross-correlation stories together,the plot is criss-crossed,and the clue is complex.The author use  narrates,foreshadowing,upholstery and so many techniques,causes the structure integrity and strictness,the plot winding anxious and rich of theatrical nature,it displayed the remarkable artistic skill.the style A tale of two cities is solemnity and melancholy,fills indignantion,but lacks the humor of the early works.

Oliver Twist is written by Charles Dickens.

Charles Dickens is one of the greatest writers in the England. He was born in a poor family but later he became famous and rich. The famous novel --A Tale of Two Cities is written by him too.

This novel shows us the cruelty and crime of London. Oliver Twist the hero is a poor orphan. He lived in a life filled with taunts. Nobody loved him. With visions of his future he decided to go to London. He thought a new life was coming but he was wrong a group of thieves were waiting for him.

The author created a group of bad men.

Fagin an old man with a horribly ugly face and red hair was the head of those thieves. He tried to make Oliver be a criminal.

Bill Sikes was a cruel and evil man in the group. He had a bad temper.

Monks Oliver’s brother did bad things to hurt Oliver. He wanted to get the legacies left by his father alone. He paid Fagin to trap Oliver into a life of crime. In fact they were all afraid of being put into prison and being hanged. They can’t live happily.

Nancy a poor girl loved a bad man. She had to help Bill Sikes perpetrate because she loved him. She had to be loyal to the criminal group because she loved him. Actually she was kind. She helped Oliver at the risk of her life. If she hadn’t fell in love with Sikes she would have a happy ending.

The author showed these ugly things to us he described an ugly world. But there are more kind people in the novel.

Mr. Brownlow an old friend of Oliver’s father took good care of Oliver.

Mrs. Maylie Harry Maylie’s mother saved Oliver of his life.

Miss Rose is the aunt of Oliver in fact.

They all protect Oliver from hurt.

Oliver was unlucky to meet so many evil people but he was luckier to get help from so many kind people.

In the end of the novel all the evil people were punished. Oliver got what he should get. Rose married Harry Maylie and they lived happily. All the kind people have a happy ending.

Righteousness can always beat evil. I think this is what the author wants to tell. Although there are many ugly things in the world we must believe that righteousness can always beat evil.

We must store kindness even though we are in ugly situation. One is poor if he doesn’t have kindness. One is rich if he has kindness. So please store your kindness in your mind.

What’s more the novel also tells us to be brave. Oliver was brave enough to overcome all the problems he had met. No matter how difficult the problem is we can’t give up we must try our best to solve it.

From Oliver Twist I have learnt a lot .It’s really a good novel.

Notre Dame DE Paris, tells the story of goodness, beauty lada fell in love with the beautiful love, handsome in appearance and inner ugly than, but I did not choose appearance ugly and inner good card seamus. If all the girls in their choice of the two boys, I think most of the girls would choose handsome than he. Although many say themselves in choosing a partner will pay more attention to inner beauty, beauty is not important. But I personally think this is wrong, why do you say so?

Because in real life, many people believe and desire for that kind of love at first sight of romantic love. If you dont have a beautiful appearance, only a good heart, how can someone to notice you. The love of beauty and the pursuit of beauty is human nature, so the pursuit of a handsome boy and beauty should not be to blame. His heart as long as they are willing to pay, deeply in love with each other, it is also called love, but I think, now that it is love, should be the correct view each others faults, inclusive each others shortcomings. 还有，在现实生活中有很多人想爱斯美拉达一样执着一旦爱上一个人就会坚持到底，不管这种爱情有没有结果。其实，有时候执着也并不是一件好事，当你发现对方已经不爱你时，也许放弃也是一种美，这也算给自己一个机会去追求真正属于自己的幸福，如果太执着，到最后或许你在失去他的同时，也把自己推如了利益个无尽的痛苦的深渊。

Ive read this twice. The first time I rushed through it just to find out who was the "victim." Yeah. Wasnt really surprised about that. Im sure a few people are thinking it was a serious mistake to off our lamented victim, but honestly, I wasnt really enthused at having to slog through this book.

I understand that this is covering the adolescent years of young Mr. Potter, but the whole teenage angst thing came out of nowhere. There shouldve been some hints as far back as "Chamber" but instead, we have four years of pent-up hormones come flooding out of the page. It is overwhelming at times, a feeling made worse when you realize that there wasnt a big plot; if anything, this was written partially for contract, partially to continue the story （I, personally, could have lived without the whole Hagrid/Grawp subplot, not to mention 50% of Dolores Umbridge, who herself is part pun, part metaphor, yet neither part really does anything but make one groan）。

But one thing to be said, there is growing tension and suspense in the book, which is written and intended--if we remember for a moment and think （perhaps somewhat na-iv-ely）--for young adults and not those of us with seasoned palates. This is why the book deserves a high rating; to me--and to many individuals over the age of, say, 16--this isnt a great novel. But it is an excellent novel for the young adult crowd and anyone who wants a mystery/fantasy/pseudo-thriller with characters who are reaching the genesis of their development. We may not like the person Harry becomes or the browbeating attitude of Umbridge or Rons jealousy rearing its head at odd turns, but it is a realistic portrayal of adolescent confusion and angst, of the tendency for some individuals in todays society to repreinformation and punish anyone who tries to resist the "system."

Yes, this is a heavy-handed statement, but this book is a metaphor as much as it is a fantasy. Remember, the Harry Potter series is desgined as an arc, so we naturally have to have the stage set for the final two books in the saga.

Hardcore Potter fans will enjoy this. Anyone expecting a great epic, however, will be disappointed because of their misconceptions.

Recently, I read a book, "father and son", which tells the story of urchin, father, and an innocent son.

The book is a work of Russian critical realism. Among them, what impressed me most is the final chapters: father and son later became famous, they just started, very happy, but later, they discovered that others do what they look like and what is not good, so they feel that they are not the one and only the father and son, because this feeling empty son, the father said: "Daddy, I want to go to heaven." Father to son, son of holding hands, non-stop walking, they finally went to heaven, my father became the moon, the son became a star in the end, the author said that if the kids love the father and the son, not every night looking at the sky!

Family, two simple words, but contains the blood and water deep feeling. However, we still have some people around, do not know how to cherish, parents hard to pull you up, and you do not know how to repay, perhaps parents do not seek repayment, but you have a heart of gratitude do not have it? After reading this book I think it is necessary to share the old legend to everybody .

There is a legend about a bird which sings just once in its life, more sweetly than any other creature on the face of the earth. From the moment it lea一ves the nest it searches for a thorn tree, and does not rest until it has found one. Then, singing among the sa一vage branches, it impales itself upon the longest, sharpest spine. And, dying, it rises above its own agony to out- carol the lark and the nightingale. One superlative song, existence the price. But the whole world stills to listen, and God in His hea一ven smiles. For the best is only bought at the cost of great pain …

Meggie Cleary is just like the bird,and Ralph is her superlative song.

I read the book then watched the movie, both of them ga一ve me great shock, I really admire Meggie,she had the courage to use her whole life to love Ralph, never ga一ve up. She believed that she would love Ralph only in her life. But I don’t like Meggie’s attitude to love, Ralph is a Father, and he mustn’t love Meggie, they really loved each other, but they are not destined to be together. So in my opinion I think Meggie should give in, she shouldn’t fight with God, Ralph had told her he would serve God forever, so Meggie wouldn’t win. Maybe giving up is a good choice. Their love is painful.

Tell the turth I don’t like Meggie neither Ralph, Ralph could not give Meggie happniess while Meggie couldn’t support Ralph to concentrate on his work. So they would not ha一ve happy life, they only made each other feel sad .

Frank is my fa一vorite role. he was short but strong ,and he was one of the main labor in his family. He didn’t want to be a shepherd, but the family needed him , and he must feed he the sheep so that everybody in his family can live better. Once he escaped from home , but it wassn’t long before his father found him and take him home. I feel so sorry that he had a miserable fate. He longed for freedom but most of his life didn’t belong to himself, it’s really a pity .

Frank was different to every man in their home, he loved his mother deeply, and he always helped his mother do the housework. he dreamed to be an outstanding boxer. Frank was considerable, and he always try his best to make Meggie feel happy. As Meggie’s oldest brother, he could be worried about Meggie’s fa一vorite doll, and he even tried to fixed the doll which was distroyed by Meggie’s other brothers. Frank and Meggie would always tell each other what they thought in their deep heart , and they are close friends.

I was so sad when I learned that Frank killed a man and he was sent to the prision. It is really a big shock to Meggie, for Frank was the only one who can listen to Meggie’s secrets. She thought she lost Frank forever. I cannot imagine how painful for Frank to spend dozens years in the prision. He once had good dream about his life, but he had to waste most of his life in prision. In my opinion it was Frank’s father that distoryed his life. His father didn’ t give him freedom, and Frank can’t had strong resistance spirits, and because he didn’t control himself and broke the law.The energitic Frank will never come to us, and he became a man who didn’t wanna talk. He began to be afraid of the world…it is really a pity.

As for Meggie, I think she was a good girl. She was beautiful and smart, but she it was wrong for her to love Ralph. Meggie was an excellent girl, she was able to find an outstanding boy to love her, but she put all her love on Ralph even she married Luke. She married Luke just because Luke looked like Ralph. Meggie wanna be a thorn bird, but I think it was too cruel to her. She was so kind that she shouldn’t stand that king of pain, and I think she was born to ha一ve a happy life. I pity for her.

Both the story of thorn birds and the legend are painful and beautiful, but not every one can be the thorn birds, because it is not our porpose to ha一ve a painful life. We are born to be happy. Olny happiness is the ture meaning of life while the story was written for us to enrich our life. It is a wonderful story.

The first impression that the boy Tom gave me was a naughty, mischievous boy, just as what Aunt Polly said. He never lacked the curiosity to explore new places, sometimes even risking his life, which I did not dare to! There were some great adventures of him with Huck or Joe. Huck was an orphan, and Joe was Tom’s classmate. Everybody in the small village knew Tom, mainly for Tom’s—you know kind of gallantry!

I should tell you the adventures. The origin of the attempt was that Tom and Huck was getting curious to the world of outside, and they made an effort to run-away. However, when they were in the graveyard, some people appeared. They were Injun Joe, Huck’s father, named Potter, and a doctor. Tom and Huck quickly hid behind the bush, and they saw them digging the coffins out, probably finding something valuable. They did not realize that what they witnessed was a murder! Tom and Huck were extremely afraid, and they ran away rapidly. On the court, Potter was being accused of the murderer; however, Tom declared that it was Injun Joe who used Potter’s knife to kill the young doctor. On hearing this, Injun Joe broke the glass and ran away! This scared everybody, and Tom’s brother, Sid, said that he always heard Tom mumbling something when he was asleep, and sometimes even shouting. Indeed, the accident was fluttering everybody in the town with fear.

Before, Tom once fell in love with a girl called Lawrence. And he showed off in front of the girl, trying to win the girl’s heart, but Lawrence ignored Tom’s appearance, and it made Tom sad. At present, Tom went for another girl for Becky. Yet, when Becky knew that Tom once loved Lawrence (it was probably childish thoughts), she refused Tom. Tom got so depressed that he resolutely committed the second escape.

He made contact with Huck and Joe that afternoon, about where to meet, the code words of meeting, and the route, and so on and so forth. Each of them brought some food, and Huck brought some pipes (remind that Huck had no real home, and I had no ideas where he got the things). At midnight, they met at the place, and they took a raft down the river. After drifting for about several hours, they finally reached the destiny. There they lived for about several weeks, and while everybody thought they were drowned, they had a great time. They were no problems of food or water shortages. They promised to be a pirate, and would live there forever.

If you were out from your relatives for a long time, wouldn’t you miss home? It was the same for those children. After several weeks, Joe felt that he missed home very much, and Tom could not seem to stop him. On this, Tom brought Joe and Huck his secret—

On one night, when the rest of the boys fell asleep (of course they slept outside), Tom crept from the camp, and headed toward the town. He sneaked to his aunt’s room, and hid under the bed, while everybody- Mary (Tom’s sister), Sid, Aunt Polly and Joe Harper’s mother were having a meeting. There were a lot of tears, about how the boys were killed, and how they would treat the boys if they ever lived again, such things. Tom almost wanted to get out of the bed and hug Aunt Polly, but he couldn’t. At last, everybody went to sleep. Tom went out from the bed, and flew to the camp. That was the secret— that the boys will go to their own funeral!

While the boys were outside, all of the people in the town were discussing about the accidents. The town was immediately covered with a sense of doom. So the funeral was raised. Everybody wore a black suit, and they prayed something along with the priest. Just then, they saw somebody entering the gate, and what they saw was unbelievable. Three young souls came out from their coffins and showed up in front of everybody! The change of the atmosphere was imaginable. Aunt Polly, Joe Harper’s mother, Mary and Sid were astounded to find that Tom came so vivid in front of them, and so Tom and Joe became a hero in the school, even in the town.

The real adventures of Tom were finding the treasures. However, I felt that I had no energy to write more…

放下《西游记》，我就犹如看了一场惊心动魄的大电影。有懦弱而又诚心向佛的唐僧，有嫉恶如仇、重情崇义的孙悟空，有集贪，懒，色，馋于一身的猪八戒，有老实憨厚的沙僧。

书中讲述了师徒四人历尽了千辛万苦最终取得真经的故事。

以前我看过电视剧，如今读完《西游记》，我对里面的人物又有了进一步的了解。

孙悟空，忠心护主，一切妖魔鬼怪魑魔魍魉逃不过他的火眼金睛，护着唐僧西行取得真经，为斗战胜佛。孙悟空虽然有七十二般变化，却改变不了他身后的那根尾巴，以至于在跟二郎神斗法是被识破。孙悟空是贯通全书的人物，吴晨恩把猴子的调皮，灵敏，不服输的性格描写得淋漓尽致，造就了孙悟空乖张又不失圆滑的形象。

猪八戒，贪，懒，色，馋。被迫出家后，取经的心一直不是很坚定。梨山老母菩萨稍一试探，立马原形毕露。后来取经的一路上，八戒三天两头嚷嚷有散伙，所以虽然取经回来，但也只当了个金坛使者。

沙僧是整部戏里的和事老。原本是天宫中的卷帘大将，一个微不足道的小人物，只因打破酒杯被贬，坠入流沙河，整天吃人不日。后经观音菩萨点化归顺佛门。他任劳任怨，沉默寡言。号金神罗汉。

唐三藏虽然没什么特殊本事，他慈悲善良，收了三个得力的徒弟。他潜心向佛，一心只往西天取经普度众生，时常真假善恶不分。比如孙悟空三打白骨精，第一棒打死貌美如花的女儿，第二棒打死瘦骨嶙峋的老奶奶，第三棒打死风烛残年的老公公。唐僧气得把那紧箍咒来回念了二十多遍。可他哪知道孙悟空对他的好哇。

《西游记》让我懂得了天下无难事只怕有心人，只要确定了目标，不怕艰辛，收获肯定是美好的。

《摆渡人》是刚读完的一本英国小说。

内容讲述，一个父母离异性格内向的小女孩，独自一人坐火车去见自己的父亲，火车在通过一个隧道时失事，小女孩醒来时发现自己是这场事故的唯一幸存者。她走出隧道口，和远山坡上一直望着她的小男孩一起跨越这个荒原。

事实上，小女孩是这场事故唯一的遇难者，和小男孩相遇的是她的灵魂。

小男孩就是灵魂的摆渡者，将刚刚去世的人的灵魂从荒原摆渡到另一个世界，否则逝者的灵魂将被荒原上的魔鬼吃掉从而进入地狱加入魔鬼的群体。

故事情节颇惊心动魄，在跨越荒原的日子里，小男孩一直保护小女孩两人相依为命，产生了爱情。当小女孩跨越荒原成功摆渡到另一个世界时，因留恋小男孩而找到了回到荒原的办法再次与其相见。

当然，结局也没有让读者失望，二人一起从荒原逆行回到了人间，达到了圆满。

这个故事听起来似乎和平常我们看过的穿越剧，灵异电影相似。但当你仔细品读时，字里行间透露出我们对自己人生态度的思考。

对于死亡 ：

若人死了真有灵魂的摆渡者，那么死亡或许没那么可怕，只是离开了一个现实宇宙能看见的世界到达另一个颠沛流离的世界罢了，在那里有逝去的亲人，活着的人早晚有一天也会到来，死亡只是一个空间的跨越罢了。

曾经我读过一篇文章，是一个年岁很大的老者写的，他说若万事抱着一颗好奇的心去对待，或许就能消除恐惧。有人问老者害怕死亡吗?他说曾经很怕，因为他难以想象一个人走在死亡边缘那一刻什么感受。后来他不怕了，他很好奇那一刻的到来，他会是实践者，他要知道答案。

在我的读书生涯里，也有同学的父亲或母亲离世了，伤痛的他们我们无从安慰。一个人在接受亲人的离开时会有种崩溃的感觉。若他们能将亲人的离开看做是空间的跨越，或许心灵的伤痛会有所减轻。

以前在书上看到过这样一句话，我们每个人都来自墙上的一幅画中，只是从静态的平面跨越到动态的立体空间，如果有的人离开了，TA只是回到了那副画里而已。 当我看到这句话的时候，突然觉得特别轻松，因为那一刻开始我觉得世界没有可怕的事情，一切都是我们的心态所为，如果连死亡都不怕了，世界还有更可怕的事情吗?

看过一个访谈节目，专家说这世界有太多永远解不开的秘密。比如，人死了到底有没有灵魂，到底有没有另一个世界的存在，这没有人能亲自实践过再回头告诉世人答案。所以，大可像那位老者一样保持好奇心，亦或相信还有另一个世界的存在。

每个人都是自己心灵的摆渡人，善恶都由自己摆渡，你选择做什么性质的人，行动和意念的支配都由你。消极的情绪，萎靡的状态，自私，凶恶，冲动，没自信等等负面的标签你可以往身上贴，最后形成一个糟糕的人这也是你自己造成的。我们有权摆渡自己的心灵，完美自信，积极向上，友善，宽容，高情商做到这些并不难，关键看你对生活的态度，你执念于什么，你将得到什么。

[读后感小学英语教学精彩片段和课例赏析

《朝花夕拾》是鲁迅所写的唯一一部回忆散文集，原名为《旧事重提》，作者说，这些文章都是“从记忆中抄出来”的“回忆文”，但优美的文字和作者本身挚热的情感给整本书增添了几分色彩，是我读完后回味起来，觉得这本书别有一番韵味。

第一篇是《狗·猫·鼠》，虽然表面写了作者对猫的厌恶和仇恨，但表达的是对弱小者的同情，对残暴者的憎恨。

第二篇是《阿长与山海经》，我觉得这篇的人物描写非常生动，其中在第3至5自然段形象地写出了长妈妈的睡相，她的睡相好像就在我的脑袋里印着，让我读了不禁发笑。但同时我也觉得长妈妈的经历有点悲哀，长妈妈虽然迷信，但是却挺疼爱作者，还找了作者喜爱的绘图的《山海经》，使作者多年以后回想长妈妈，对她怀念，也哀其不幸、怒其不争。

还有批判封建孝道的虚伪和残酷的《二十四孝图》；表现家长制阴影的《五猖会》；描绘迷信传说中的勾魂使者《无常》；写童年之事的《从百草园到三味书屋》；揭露庸医误人的《父亲的病》；描写一个心术不正、令人憎恶的衍太太形象的《琐记》；最使鲁迅感激的日本老师《藤野先生》；潦倒一生的同乡好友《范爱农》。

读这些文章，虽然有点悲凉的气氛，但是从小时侯充满童趣、顽皮的“我”，到对封建的教育、思想而反抗的“我”，再到爱国的“我”，形散而神聚，让作者追忆那些难以忘怀的人和事，抒发了自己的情感，也使我怀念那逝去的童年。

After reading this wonderful story, I can feel love, brave, deep friendship and some other good spirits in the people.

The Scarecrow wanted some brains, but on the way to the Emerald City, he thought out of a way to cross the river. The Cowardly Lion wanted to be brave, but when they met the river, he carried other friends to jump across it. And the Tin Man wanted a heart, he said he couldn’t love, but he didn’t want to hurt any animal.

In fact, they all have the things they want: the Scarecrow is clever, the Cowardly Lion is brave and the Tin Man is kind-hearted.

This book tells us a story of how a little girl Dorothy goes back to her hometown when she is in another strange city. Dorothy is a little girl who lived with her aunt and uncle in Kansas. The weather there is very bad, sometimes there was a cyclone. When a cyclone came, people stayed under their houses. But one day a cyclone blows Dorothy’s house, with Dorothy and her dog Toto in it, to a country called Oz. In that city there are four witches and a very famous wizard—the Wizard of Oz. And Dorothy’s house just fell on the bad Witch of the East and killed her, so the people there were very happy. Dorothy took the witch’s red shoes and wore them. She wanted to go home to Kansas but she doesn’t know how to get there. So the Witch of North told her to go to the Emerald City to find the Wizard of Oz to help her. Then Dorothy met the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion, but they need help too. The Scarecrow wanted some brains, the Tin Man wanted a heard, and the Cowardly Lion wanted to be brave. So they all take the yellow brick road to the Emerald City. On the way to the Emerald City they met some difficulties, but they solved them successfully. After they met the Wizard of Oz, the wizard gave them another challenge—to kill the bad Witch of the West and they accept. During the way to the Witch of the West’s house, they were caught by the witch and Dorothy was requested to work for her. One day, when the witch tried to catch Dorothy’s red shoes, Dorothy threw some water on the witch by accident and the Witch of the West disappeared. Only water can kill her. So Dorothy went back to the Emerald City with her friends but they found the Wizard of Oz is not a real wizard, he is also a man came from Kansas, and he is just a conjurer. He wanted to go back to Kansas too. So he made a big balloon and prepared to go. But when the balloon is going to raise, Dorothy’s dog Toto jumped away to run after a cat, so Dorothy had to get Toto back and they were left in Oz. Then Dorothy and Toto went and find the Witch of the South and the witch told them they can just use the red shoes on Dorothy’s feet, they’re a pair of magic shoes, they could take anybody go back to their home as soon as she said‘East, west—home is the best!’After Dorothy said goodbye to her friends, she went back to her new home with her dog. It’s really a wonderful risk.

Yes, no matter where we are, home is always the best place for us to rest or study. There are our parents here; there are also our favorite things here. At home, we feel safe, we feel comfortable, and we can relax ourselves.

From this story, we can see Dorothy is a brave and kind-hearted girl. She killed the two bad witches in Oz; she helped the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion to go to the Emerald City to find the Wizard and get what they want. She solved problems when they met difficulties. It’s really not easy for such a little girl.

We also learn that teamwork is important for us. When we are in trouble, we can ask our friends for help, and also, when our friends need help, we should go and help them. Just remember, more people, more power. It’s always better has more people to do a thing. Teamwork is really necessary in our lives.

And we can see the Scarecrow is absolutely cleaver, he understands things, he can think, he learn quickly, and he suggested Dorothy to cut down a tree to cross the river. The tin man has a kind heart, he laughs, he cries, he loves, he feels sorry for people. The Cowardly Lion is really brave, he did a lot of brave things, he carried the friends to go across the river, and he wanted to find some food for his friends and so on. We should learn from them too. When we are in trouble, we should calm down, watch the things around carefully, and try to think out of a way to solve it, just like the Scarecrow. We also should be brave as we are in danger, we can’t be afraid, we should face the difficulty and try to go through it, just like the Cowardly Lion. And we should learn to love people, to feel sorry for people, to make more friends, to get on well with everyone around us, just like the Tin Man.

Yes, we should learn how to get on with other people, we should help each other, we should be brave, we should love other people. If we can do like this, we can be a better girl (boy), more and more people will make friends with us, and more and more people will like us!

Let me just start by saying that I had been put off reading Thomas Hardye by Dickens. Having really struggled with Dickens and resorted to audio I had wrongly assumed that all 19C liturature was the same. How wrong I could be. From the first paragraph where the opening character farmer Gabriel Oak is desribed smiling, ‘the corners of his mouth spread till they were an unimportant distance from his ears‘ I fell in love with Hardy‘s narrative. His ability to use words that lift the description off the page and into the reader‘s imagination are not just outstanding but incredibly enjoyable.

I went into this book blindly, knowing little about the plot that lay ahead or even the genre. It has been described by some as romantic fiction. But I think this is too simplistic a title and and maybe slightly off-putting to some. Hardye steps into Greek Tragedy when the unwitting and churlish actions of our young protagonist, Bathsheba Everdene, result in a love tryst between three suitors with tragic consequenses.

The book is essentially a journey for Bathsheba into womanhood not unlike the journey that Scarlett O‘Hara makes in Gone with the Wind who also has to overcome great tragedy in order to realise her own strength. Unlike this heroin, however, Bathsheba is more the instrument of chaos and indecion and part of her journey is that she accepts what she has caused and tries to make it right.

Hardye avoids making this into moral stricture but deviates from the Greek Tragedy model by giving us a happy ending not atypical of 19C serialised fiction.
