The Old Man and the Sea is one of Hemingways most enduring works and may very well become one of the true classics of this generation. It played a great part in his winning the Pulizer Prize in 1953 and the 1954 Novel Prize for Literature and confirmed his power and presence in the literary world. Hemingway is also one of my favorite writers. Besides The Old Man And the Sea, I have read some of his other works, such as The Sun Also Rises, A Farewell to Arms and The Snow of Kilimanijaro. But The Old Man and the Sea is the one that left the deepest impression on me.

I first read this book when I was in my fifteens. And now I remember it just as well as if I had read it yesterday.

On summer vacation of this year, I studied in novel " old man and sea " of Hemingway , famous writer of U.S.A. ,. I admire the old fishermans will in the novel very much, he lets me understand that a person must have unremitting spirit, could succeed . What the novel is described is an old fisherman almost the sixty years old, when go to sea and fish alone once, have angled to a big fish, but can not draw. After tough fisherman and fish have socialized for a few days, just find this is a big Malins fish which exceeds several times of ones own fishing boat, though know perfectly well that it is very difficult to win , does not give up yet. Because big Malin fish fishlike smell of wound attract odd herds of shark vie for the food again later, but the old man is still unwilling to give up like this, stress the tight encirclement finally , take the large fish back to fishing port , let other fishmen admire it endlessly. Old fishermans spirit that makes great efforts to struggle fearless of danger and difficulty that the novel has been extolled, we should be like him too, can t be satisfied with the current situation , should be positive upwards, it should be unremitting to do anything, it must not give up halfway to meeting difficulty should meet the difficulty. Only in this way, we could obtain greater success and victory .

The pilgrim"s progress can be said to be a very famous and very influential book in the Christian literature and a lot of people have read it. Actually when I first read the pilgrim"s progress I am not interested in it，even feel boring, and the result is I want to give up halfway. Why，because I don"t have experience of the Christian in this book. He encountered many difficulties, but I have not experienced, so I am not interested in it when I readied it.

As time goes by I read it more and more, and I began to feel deeply the process of Christian struggling against difficulties. Then I find all sorts of experience of protagonist Christian is the mirror of most of ordinary people.

The difficulties he met，also is that we met. His failure was also that we had been through. And each time he regained faith, which also brought us a great joy and hope, because we also are the people who have pursuit and ideal.

From the knowledge level to see，The pilgrim"s progress is the most vitality predictions. This work is to write a virtual world, but it is the reality of the world in essence. This can make us more aware of the complexity behind the real world.

This work mainly displayed that human losing himself needed redemption, and only can be saved through confessing their iniquity and believing God. Reading this book, what make me feel touched and shock is that Christian faithfully began his difficult lonely journey for the beliefs in his heart. All the way he went through despair mire, humiliation valley, the valley of the shadow of death, vanity fair, doubt fort, and all the way he defended entanglement of atheist, ignorance, Mr. Smart, Mr. Apple, Mr. Love money and so on，and finally came to the kingdom of heaven to pay a formal visit god.

《骆驼祥子》讲述的是旧中国北平城里一个人力车夫祥子的悲剧故事。祥子来到城市，渴望以自己诚实的劳动，创造生活。他怀着买车的信念，拼命地赚钱，就像是一个旋转的小陀螺。终于，祥子得到了梦寐以求的车，那辆车对于祥子来说，不知道是他磨破了多少双鞋换来的。可是命运捉弄人，车接二连三地被人夺走，祥子的梦想之火一次次地熄灭。但祥子仍然不肯放弃，不断地振作起来，再度奋斗。在此，我不由地感动和怜悯了，对祥子那坚持不懈，为梦想而拼搏的那股韧劲而感动；对祥子被悲惨的命运所折磨，而只能无奈的沮丧和失望感到怜悯。这教育了我：要坚强地面对困难，失败了靠自己站起。

As we all know, books, especially the classical, present the precious accumulation of wisdom and knowledge beyond the limitation of time or space, from which we can enjoy numerous anecdotes, get to know exotic culture and tradition, experience the legendary and miraculous life of our idols and make ourselves better men day by day.

Nevertheless, people, especially the young, seem to have stored those classical books merely on the shelf for an unbelievably long time, which can be attributed to various factors. On the one hand, modern people have to cope with the quick pace and unavoidable stress of their work or life; therefore, they can hardly devote time to reading books. On the other hand, people tend to be more material-oriented involving their social status, amount of wealth or prospects of getting promotion, which eclipse the important benefits from reading classical books.

To me, it is essential for most undergraduates to read certain classical books, especially ones filled with life-long motivation and sagacious thoughts, which may not guarantee them short-term returns but will bring them far-reaching reward.

从这本书中，我认识了调皮的马小跳，机灵的毛超，大嘴巴张达，还有大肚子唐飞。他们四个“调皮蛋”既调皮捣蛋、惹事生非又聪明活泼、各怀“绝技”。让我看了有点生气又非常喜欢他们，真想成为他们的好朋友。

还有老师的好帮手路曼曼，美丽的“公主”夏林果，文学气十足的学习委员丁文涛……虽然他们或有些“小大人”气，或有些煞有介事，或有些小心眼……但每一个人都有各自的可爱之处。不过最有趣的还是马小跳和他的三个死党：张达、唐飞、毛超。他们不仅个个长得“歪瓜裂枣”，其貌不扬，而且还因为过于调皮捣蛋、惹是生非、不太遵守纪律而被老师和同学们视为永恒不变的“后进生”。

我喜欢他们，是因为他们热爱生活、诚实善良、充满爱心。他们会建立“宠物集中营”，收集照顾所有被人遗弃的或生病的可怜的小动物；放暑假在奶奶家住时，会组织大家一起到山里为“维护环境，保护动物”做义务宣传；在《疯丫头杜真子》中，马小跳、杜真子和唐飞，为了帮助一个三岁大的小女孩“救救妈妈”，卖力地演出，一遍又一遍地大声吆喝：“救救小女孩的妈妈，献点爱心吧！献点爱心吧！”他们拥有无穷的想象力，能够创造“鱼生活在陆地上”这样精彩的童话故事；能把小黑猪“黑旋风”当马骑；甚至想到动物比人更聪明，让动物滑滑板……

读着他们，我就不停地在想：就让我们理直气壮地做孩子吧！可以放开心扉，在无垠的成长海洋中做我们自己：活泼开朗、聪明伶俐、爱心十足、尊重科学……可以自由自在做我们自己，对着天空大喊，学学牛顿爷爷，问出心中的“为什么”，像马小跳他们一样，活得简单，活得快乐……

我真想做一个永远的“淘气包”！

上学期，我们集体购买了《典范英语6》，通过一年的学习，我们的英语是在提高，学习了许多知识。

我们每次学习前都先听录音，这大大提高了我们的英语听读水平，使我们的听力题成绩有了一些提高，是我们受益匪浅。

二是我们在看，在读时，有许多生词，老师也让我们自己猜，然后自己查，这给我们下了很深的印象，也比老师告诉我们要好得多。

三是我们由教材中的故事，自己改编成话剧，有一些同学表演，更是英语融入了我们的生活。

总而言之，这套教材给我们留下了许多知识，是我们受益匪浅。

I don’t remember the exact year I first read The Little Prince . Though the golden snake in the book plays a cameo role , I never forget the scene that he flashed kissed gently on the little prince’s ankle. It made me be afraid to reread this book.

Later, I listened a Michael Wong’s song named Fairy-tale Story, the prince in his song is different from the prince in The Little Prince, the prince in the song is the same as Andersen’s tales’ princes, they all have happy endings.

However, I think The Little Prince is a sad story. There is a saying: There are a thousand Hamlets in a thousand peoples eyes. Now, let me talk about my reading feeling. This simple story flies over every corner of the world: a pilot (the narrator) who had an accident with his plane and crashed in the Desert of Sahara then he met the little prince from the planet B-612, and the narrator listened little prince’s travel experience of seven planets. On the seven planets, he met a variety of persons. They are the king, the conceited man, the businessman, the tippler, the lamplighter, the geographer and so on.

The Little Prince is a story belongs to adults who have childlike innocence.because children don’t understand the little prince’s deep sadness.This is not so much a fairy tale, as it is a tragedy. This story tells the grow-ups’ world is full of empty，lost and loneliness with kids’ perspective. Among the story, the alcoholic is impressive. He was surrounded by a pile of beer bottles when the little prince saw him, and prince asked him why he is drinking, but he answered he want to forget his shame of drinking. This short planet visit plunged little prince into deep puzzled. He think the grow-ups are certainly very, very odd. In kids eyes, beautiful things must look with heart. But the adults pay more attention on things’ appearance that is just a shell and they don’t believe the eyes are blind and the heart is true.

Through this story, it also made me understand what’s the love---loves more mineral, more dense, more bitter and more weighty than the earths profoundest matter.

When I first read The Little Prince, I can’t understand the mean of love and never to think why should the little prince leave alone since he love his rose so deeply. For years, I reread the story and think about it. The simple true was first love. The little prince didn’t know how to love and It was difficult to make him understand the rose’s heart, so it may lead to misunderstanding and hurts from time to time. He leaved his planet because he can not accept the rose and himself.

This is why the little prince don’t know he have to leave : at that time, he had no idea he was in it. The little prince don’t understand the meaning of tame until he met the fox later. Then he produced the endless yearning for the roses and realized his responsibility.

"Do you want to be domesticated?" For me, this is a profound question. In the book, the little prince met a fox and invited the fox to play with him, but he was refused. The fox told him that he was not tamed. “what does that mean--tame?” little prince asked. The fox answered:” it means to establish ties: to me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a hundred thousand other little boys. And I have no need of you. And you, on your part, have no need of me. To you, I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me , you will be unique in all the world. To you, I shall be unique in all the world.”

Gradually the little prince was beginning to understand, because he remembered his rose and he thought his rose had tamed him. So he chose to go back to his planet in the end. But to the fox, the little prince’s farewell will make her sad, but the hurts because of love, she should learn to accept it gradually. I believe there are full of hurts within serious and true love.

As long as the little prince flied to different planets and met a variety of persons can he understand himself and his rose. So I think traveling is a good way to experience life.

施耐庵的《水浒传》刻画了一群侠肝义胆的英雄形象。武松与鲁达就是其中的典型代表。虽然武松与鲁达都嫉恶如仇，行侠仗义，是名副其实的梁山好汉，但他俩的性格却有着鲜明的反差。无论是醉打蒋门神的“计”，还是查出兄弟死因的“策”，都可看出武松的冷静与沉稳。而鲁达一出场就给人粗犷、暴烈之感。听金氏父女陈述完冤情，他拍案而起，急不可待地要去教训郑屠，是一个性格外露的粗汉子形象。如果说武松是迂曲回折的江河，那鲁达就是奔腾浩荡的大海。前者多计多谋，有着“打虎英雄”的胆略和妙策；后者豪爽有力，敢作敢当，表现出了鲁提辖的刚烈勇猛。

他俩在性格上的差异也反映在与敌人战斗的风格上。就拿“醉打蒋门神”和“拳打镇关西”这俩“打”来说吧，武松先捣毁酒店，再斗蒋门神，与鲁达先激怒镇关西，看似有异曲同工之秒，实则不然。武松见了蒋门神，并未直接寻衅挑战，而是先收拾了他的手下，引蒋门神来与自己较量，显示了他的有勇有谋。当蒋门神被打败求饶时，他又适时提出了三个停战的条件，迫使对方接受，获得了有理有利的结果。鲁达则不然，他嫉恶如仇，面对郑屠的求饶，他不依不饶，直至把郑屠打死方知出了大事，然后拔腿便溜。同时，两人在武艺上的区别也体现了各自的性格。武松善用各种武艺技巧，招数灵活多变。如他用“玉环步，鸳鸯脚”打得蒋门神跪地求饶。鲁达的功夫则讲究力量，他的拳术不拘一格。如他提起醋钵儿大小的拳头，以雷霆万钧之力三拳打死了郑屠。

一个人，一场故事，一世遭遇，成就了《活着》。富贵的苦难，已经到了无以复加的地步，他从一个富家少爷，沦落到贫苦农民；他气死他爹，输光财产；他的儿女死了，妻子死了，女婿死了，外孙也死了，可他却还活着，孤零零的活着。

当在黄昏的田野上，富贵和他那头老牛耕耘在田地里，富贵对牛叨絮的那席话差点让我怜悯的掉下泪来。我觉到了余华的残忍，他为什么要让富贵活着？没有了亲人，没有了爱，只有大半辈子数不尽的苦难，富贵活着的意义何在？人到底为什么而活着？

当福贵看到赌的倾家荡产的龙二被毙掉的那一刻，庆幸的是福贵，后怕的也是福贵。他庆幸，是因为被毙掉的人不是自己。他后怕，是因为被毙掉的人本该是自己。命运是未卜的，生命是脆弱的。败家子的自己气死了爹，他知道，自己害死了一个生命；当被抓去拉大炮的自己回来没有看到娘的最后一眼，他明白，生命原来如此脆弱；当他的家人一个个死去的时候，他懂得，活着不易，活着有多好！

种地的艰辛，让他体会到活着的不易；公社的磨难，让他感受到活着的美好。活着就幸福，再艰难，只要活着那也是幸福；死亡是痛苦的，再好的墓葬，那也是痛苦。当富贵的家人一个个离自己而去的时候，有痛苦，但更多的是珍惜，珍惜自己现在还具有的生命，他知道，活着有多好。

余华《活着》的自序：“作为一个词‘活着’在我们中国的语言里充满了力量，他的力量不是来自于叫喊，也不是来自于攻击，而是忍受，去忍受生命赋予我们的责任，去忍受现实给予我们的幸福和苦难，无聊和平庸。”这里有一个关键词时“忍受”。可见余华笔下的富贵面对生命的苦难与绝望只是忍受，没有反抗，更不用说蔑视。也许有人不怕死，但他一定不想死；也许有人想要死，但他一定不愿意死。

Read "one man to cherish life", so I know life is everywhere, everywhere, life is so precious! With life, there is competition and struggle; with life, there will be happiness and sadness; with life, there is hope and ideals, with life, only to cherish life.
