On my visit to the Zoo their were many interesting animals that grabbed my attention. The first animal was the Black Necked Swan which is also known by its scientific name Cygnus Melan Coryphus. This bird appeared to be very comfortable in its new environment at the Zoo. Their were two of these magnificent birds for me to observe. Both of them had snow white bottoms, with dark black necks and a red orange colored bill. The male swan is known as a cob and the female a pen, the males are usually a bit larger than the females. The areas of origin are in open lakes and marsh lands in the Southern parts of South America, including Chile, Argentina, and Falkland Islands. The black necked swan feeds on Aquatic plants in the zoo, and as wild swan they typically feed on vegetation, insects, and fish spawn. The black necked swan is not in any danger of being extinct. The swans seem to some how stay close to each other and their behavior was calm. I find the black neck on the swan to be very interesting, I had never known of a black necked swan until my recent visit to the zoo. The swans neck was very long it seems at times to wrap around the bottom of its body, as it dives its head into the pond.

望着宏伟的景色，我想明白了，终于想明白了。坚强，可以战胜一切，而懦弱，只能接受失败。

今年暑假，我跟着爸爸来到了北京，这个我曾经多次梦到的城市，语文课本上多次描写了北京，这个作为我国的首都的城市，她有着深厚的文化底蕴，有古长城，有故宫，有颐和园。

这次来到北京，就只有一个目的，那就是登上长城看一看，因为课本中多次出现的一句话“不到长城非好汉”到了北京，我与爸爸简单的收拾了一下，并且休息了一个晚上，为明天登长城补足体力，而我因为太激动，晚上竟然没有睡着，白天就变成了熊猫眼，但是感觉浑身也是充满了力量。

坐上去长城的公交，一路上透过窗户看到北京的样子，心中还是很开心的，一个小时候，我们来到了八达岭旅游区，长城已经可以看到了，的确如一条巨龙卧在山顶，守护着我国的疆土，买过票后，我与爸爸就开始向长城进军，走在古老的石头上面，心中的激动越来越强烈，情不自禁的摸了摸千年的石头，竟然透出阵阵的凉意，这在炎炎的烈日下显得很不可思议，一路沿着长城走去，走过了一座又一座烽火台，放眼向下望去，层林密布，风景是那么的美好。

这趟旅行让我收获颇多，希望我们的长城永远守护着我们的国家，我们的北京。

If standing on the Great Wall, will naturally think of the ancient working people built the Great Wall. Look at the stone, a piece of have two or three one thousand catties. Less tools at that time, only by countless peoples shoulders numerous hand, step by step to carry on the steep mountain terrain. How many working people sweat and wisdom, is the former see first, after see the Great Wall of China! Such a spirit grand project, is a great miracle!

长城是中国的象征。远看那雄伟的长城，像一条长龙在崇山峻岭之间蜿蜒盘旋，从山海关到嘉峪关，就有一万三千多里!

从北京出发，不过几十公里就能到达长城脚下。啊，长城好长好长，一眼望不到头，仿佛巨蛇躺在山岭上休息。长城是用许多条石和城砖筑成的。顶上铺着方砖，十分整齐，像一条宽宽的马路，五六匹马儿可以并排走。城墙外沿有两米多高的成排的垛子，上方有方形的望口和射口，供了望和射击用，城墙顶上，隔几百米有座城台，古时候打仗可以相互呼应!长城并不是一道单独的城墙，而是由城墙、敌楼、关城、墩堡、营城、卫所、镇城烽火台等多种防御工事所组成的完整工程体系。

如果站在长城上，很自然会想起古代修筑长城的劳动人民。单看这条石，一块就有两三千斤重。那时候工具少，只能靠无数人民的肩膀无数的手，一步一步地抬上这地形陡峭的山岭。多少劳动人民的血汗、智慧，才有这前不见首、后不见尾的万里长城啊!这么个气魄宏伟的工程，是一个伟大的奇迹!

Four days ago, I traveled to Dalian with my families. We visited a uncle there. During the four days, we visited all the attractions of Dalian City, such as: Golden Pebble Beach, Tiger Beach Ocean Park, Forest Zoo, Xinghai Square and so on. We visited to Bingyu Valley. Its billed as the Little Guilin in southern Liaoning. But, I liked night view of Dalian most. Its very amazing. In the evening, the lights of tall buildings, squares are all tuned on. Its colorful and beautiful. Besides, the people of Dalian are very friendly. They introduced the attractions when they knew we were visitors. I had a very deep impression on this city. I want to travel this city again.

Chinas Great Wall is known to the world as one of the seven great wonders of the world. It is located in North China. It is over 6000 kilometres in length and is 25 feet high in average. The ancient people started to built the wall in the 7th Century BC with earth,brick and stone, and joined it in the Qin Dynasty. The Great Wall was built in ancient China to keep out invaders, however, it is now regared as one of the most important tourist spots in our country or even in the whole world. Every year, it is visited by thousands of people from all over the world.

中国的长城是世界七大奇迹之一的世界。它位于中国北部。有6000多公里长,平均25英尺高。古代的人们开始建造了墙与地球在公元前7世纪,砖和石头,在秦朝,加入它。长城建于中国古代阻挡入侵者,然而,现在把作为我国最重要的旅游景点之一,甚至在整个世界。每年,它接待成千上万的人来自世界各地。

The Great Wall of China, also known in China as the Great Wall of 10,000, is an ancient Chinese fortification built from the end of the 14th century until the beginning of the 17th century, during the Ming Dynasty, in order to protect China from raids by the Mongols and Turkic tribes. It was preceded by several walls built since the 3rd century BC against the raids of nomadic tribes coming from areas now in modern day Mongolia and Manchuria.The Wall stretches over a formidable 6,350 km (3,946 miles), from Shanhai Pass on the Bohai Gulf in the east, at the limit between China proper and Manchuria, to Lop Nur in the southeastern portion of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

The first major wall was built during the reign of the First Emperor, the main emperor of the short-lived Qin dynasty. This wall was not constructed as a single endeavor, but rather was created by the joining of several regional walls built by the Warring States. It was located much further north than the current Great Wall, and very little remains of it. A defensive wall on the northern border was built and maintained by several dynasties at different times in Chinese history. The Great Wall that can still be seen today was built during the Ming Dynasty, on a much larger scale and with longer lasting materials (solid stone used for the sides and the top of the Wall) than any wall that had been built before. The primary purpose of the wall was not to keep out people, who could scale the wall, but to insure that semi-nomadic people on the outside of the wall could not cross with their horses or return easily with stolen property.
