“人生就是马拉松，看谁能坚持到最后!”妈妈的话出现在脑海里。我突然就想起那年暑假登华山，看着巍峨的山脉，我豪气冲天，摩拳擦掌地就准备往上冲，爸爸拉住我说：“别把力气一下子拼了，有条不紊才能坚持到顶峰。”果然，才爬了一小半我的腿肚子就开始打晃了，要是刚刚拼尽了力气，我肯定要瘫在路边上不去了。我们停下来喝了点水，稍事休息，就继续往上攀登，当我们站在山顶的时候，真真切切地体会到了“举头红日近，回首白云低。”的境界，所有的辛苦都在一刹那烟消云散，这有胜利的喜悦在心中激荡……

想到这里，我放下手机，沉浸到书海中。每一天的坚持，都成为了我往前奔跑的助力，终于在一次考试中，我首次超越了他!

我选择了坚持，我成功了!不过我知道，我远没有到达终点，这只是人生中一个站点，我还要坚持下去，我相信只要我坚持不懈，总有一天，我能够“会当凌绝顶，一览众山小。”

Last week, our school held an activity to the nursing house to visit the

old people. I was so excited to be a volunteer, because it was my first time to

join such big activity. When we got there, the old people were so happy to see

us. They smiled all the time. We brought them some fruit and presents, and they

were so moved. When we chatted face in face, they talked about the old times and

the happiness they had. I thought about my grandparents, who lived in the

hometown. I should spend more time with them. Being a volunteer is such a

precious experience for me.

The Mid-Autumn Festival

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a very important Chinese festival. It falls on

the 15th day of August. A few days before the festival， everyone in the family

will help to make the house clean and beautiful. Lanterns will be hung in front

of the house.

On the evening there will be a big family dinner. People who work far away

from their homes will try to come back for the union. After dinner， people will

light the lanterns which are usually red and round. Children will play with

their own toy lanterns happily.

At night the moon is usually round and bright. People can enjoy the moon

while eating moon-cakes which are the special food for this festival. They can

look back on the past and look forward to the future together. It is said that

there was a dragon in the sky. The dragon wanted to swallow up the moon. To

protect the frighten the dragon away.

中秋节是中国一个很重要的节日，在八月十五号。在节日来临的前几天，家庭中的每一个人都帮着打扫房子，把房子装扮得漂漂亮亮的，灯笼挂在屋前。

晚上有一顿美餐，离家在外工作的人也要回来团圆。晚饭后，人们点亮灯笼，一般是红色的圆灯笼。孩子们会高高兴兴地玩他们的玩具灯笼。

晚上月亮又圆又大，人们在赏月的同时吃着中秋节特别的食品——月饼。人们在一起回顾过去，展望未来。据说天上有一条龙，它要把月亮吞下去。为了保护月亮，孩子们要弄出很大的响动把龙吓跑。
