What is honesty? Honesty means speaking the truth and being fair and

upright in act.Considered a virtue,it is admired in every country and every

culture.So,Is it necessary to be honest all the time .

However,there are people who try to get benefits by dishonest means.

For example,some students copy the exercises done by others or cheat in

examinations in order to get good marks. The same thing may be said of a

merchant who tries to get rich by deceving customers. Those people may succeed

for a time,but sooner or later,they will be caught.

How can cheating on exams be prevented? The measures may vary from case to

case.But I think,the students must first be well informes of the negative effect

on the learning atmosphere of the university and the studentscharacter. Then

the students who were caught in the act of cheating can be criticizedpublicly,

punished or even expelled from the university.

As we know, many people favor the idea that the college life is free and comfortable, but I’d like to say it’s not true. As a matter of fact, my life in university is so busy that I wonder if my energy is enough. As to my college life, I divide it into four parts, including study, student activities, library and the others.

A teacher just likes a shining star to students. Miss Fu, one of my English teacher, is a shining star in my life.

I happened to be in Miss Fus class when I began my high school years. At that time, I dared not speak English aloud in public, for I was shy and my pronunciation and intonation were poor. Afraid of being laughed at, I never put up my hand to answer the questions Miss Fu raised in class, even if I had some good answers to them. For a time, I even lost interest in practising spoken English. When Miss Fu found out the reason, she encouraged me to speak. First she bought me some English tapes and told me to listen to them carefully, and try to recite them. In class, I was often asked questions and given a lot of chances to practise speaking.Little by little, I became brave enough to speak, and was not afraid to speak English before others. increasing population and industrial development,water pollution has become a

serious problem.Large amounts of wastewater go into rivers and seas directly

no attention to saving water in daily life,while in some place water is badly
