Bella is a kindhearted and independent girl who never goes with tide. She always sticks to her own way of doing everything. I clearly know that it was Bella’s unique and special character that drew Edward’s attention. In Edward’s mind, Bella was a natural girl with a kind heart. Having read the book Sister Carrie written by Theodore Dreiser,a very complicate feeling struck me,for the society,the people in America in the late 19th century.We can see clearly about the decadent and hypocritical moral principles of the bourgeois.They pursue only position,authority and money.Pleasure is their honest companion.

The society was developing rapidly and the people"s living standards were also improving.Yes,the prosperity appeared.But on the other hand,the gap between the poor and the rich was strengthened.While some people were playing and drinking,the other people were working,even begging.Behind the happiness,hiding much misery.Facing all of these,I am confused whether I should happy about the development of the society or I should sad about the cruel.

But I know I will give much sympathy to all of these people,no matter they rich or poor.I am sorry that the rich have lost their good morality,their sympathy and I think they are blank in their spiritThe poor,of course,are busy all the day for supporting themselves and their family,no time enjoying the life.All of them are the sacrifices of the society.

很喜欢这本书，作者以第一人称来描写，让女主角的心灵世界更加丰富细腻的展示在读者面前，而前半段的悲惨童年生活，更是得到了大家的同情。在后半段，简爱经过曲折的道路，她和罗切斯特分别经过大苦大难，而最终幸福的在一起度过快乐的后半生。虽然不漂亮，但是简爱的善良、聪明的人格魅力，无疑比其它女孩子更加吸引人。

今天下午，何老师给我们看了一部电影，它的名字叫《背着爸爸去上学》，这部电影主要内容是讲，一个穷人家里有一个女孩和一个男孩，那个穷人家里只有一点点钱，只可以送一个人去上学，穷人就用了转勺子的方法，勺子指向谁，谁就去上学，转呀转，勺子转向了男孩，爸爸就决定让男孩去上学。

一天在小男孩上学过河的时候，天下着倾盆大雨，小男孩穿着雨衣走上河面，走着走着就碰见了他们同班的一个女同学，她打着伞和小男孩一起走到了河的中间，这里雨越下越大了，在小男孩不注意的时候，那个小男孩回过头来时小女孩早就被淹死了，小男孩害怕极了，他连忙跑回家躲起来了。当他爸爸说：“你们学到了第几课？”小男孩说：“我们学到了八课。”爸爸知道他们根本没学到八课，也知道他这几天没去上学，拿起棒子打了起来，这时小男孩的姐姐看到了就说：“别打了！别打拉！”第二天小男孩的爸爸怕他又不去上学就背着他过了这条河，送他去上学。

日子一天天过去，小男孩一天天的长大了，是中学的一名学生了，他的成绩非常的好，后来小男孩考上了大学，就是因为爸爸得了一场疾病，他的大学学校在很远很远的地方，但他爸爸又生病了，那么远的学校读书他实在放心不下，于是他决定背着爸爸去上学，这一路特别辛苦，这一部电影就没有了。

我最感动的是，那个小男孩背着他爸爸去上学的那一小节，这可以说是这个小男孩是一个懂事，也很孝顺的好孩子。我觉得我平时对爸爸妈妈的态度不太好，还在家里什么都惹您生气，我在这里对您说声：“对不起。”爸爸妈妈我会继续努力学习每一年都会用很好的成绩报答您的。

Let me just start by saying that I had been put off reading Thomas Hardye by Dickens. Having really struggled with Dickens and resorted to audio I had wrongly assumed that all 19C liturature was the same. How wrong I could be. From the first paragraph where the opening character farmer Gabriel Oak is desribed smiling, ‘the corners of his mouth spread till they were an unimportant distance from his ears‘ I fell in love with Hardy‘s narrative. His ability to use words that lift the description off the page and into the reader‘s imagination are not just outstanding but incredibly enjoyable.

I went into this book blindly, knowing little about the plot that lay ahead or even the genre. It has been described by some as romantic fiction. But I think this is too simplistic a title and and maybe slightly off-putting to some. Hardye steps into Greek Tragedy when the unwitting and churlish actions of our young protagonist, Bathsheba Everdene, result in a love tryst between three suitors with tragic consequenses.

The book is essentially a journey for Bathsheba into womanhood not unlike the journey that Scarlett O‘Hara makes in Gone with the Wind who also has to overcome great tragedy in order to realise her own strength. Unlike this heroin, however, Bathsheba is more the instrument of chaos and indecion and part of her journey is that she accepts what she has caused and tries to make it right.

Hardye avoids making this into moral stricture but deviates from the Greek Tragedy model by giving us a happy ending not atypical of 19C serialised fiction.

Quite often an author‘s voice creeps into their writing and the reader becomes aware that they are not in fact walking the hills and dales of fictional Wessex but are at the pen nib of a writ

It is wrong to get married for the property, money and position; Get married and does not consider that above-mentioned factors are unwise too . So, she objects to getting married for money , objecting to regarding the marriage as a trifling matter . She emphasizes the importance of the ideal marriage , and regard men and women;s emotion as the foundation stone which concludes the ideal marriage .

The woman protagonist in the book Elizabeth comes from the little landlord;s family, reaches the west to have deep love for for the rich and powerful people sons and younger brothers. Reach the disparity of ignoring family status and wealth of the west, propose to her, but is refused. Elizabeth;s misunderstanding and prejudice to him are a reason, but a main one is the arrogance that she dislikes him.

Reach the thes of the west in fact status; the reflections of difference, exist this kind arrogant, Not having common thoughts and feelings between he and Elizabeth, the marriage that can not have lofty ideals . Elizabeth watches conducting oneself in society and a series of behavior of reaching the west personally afterwards, See he change the proud conceited expressions of passing by, dispel misunderstanding and prejudice to him, Thus concluded the happy marriage with him.

Pride and Prejudice is a chefdoeuvre. But my first impression of this story was from screen.

Its long long ago, maybe before I can read english books. I dont remember which movie edition I had seen. But I was impressed by the music, the scenery and the costume. I was very favor of a section of music in its balls. Its pretty brisk, liked a wonderful song of a bird. Regarding to the characters, I liked Elizabeth, the heroine,though I didnt think shes beautiful. But shes smart. However, I didnt pay much attention to the plot. I thought its so long that it made me impatient and bored. By now, I havent read the whole story in English or its Chinese version, either. I owe it to my prejudice.

In fact, I didnt understand the story at that time. I didnt know why it called Pride and Prejudice. Of course someone was pride, but I didnt find where s the prejudice. I thought its normal, the way people treated each other in that. I considered prejudice would be very disgusting. But to the movie everthing was OK in my minds, except its length. Now, I think I have understood more about it. Im a prejudiced person so I cant find wheres wrong. I merely like to do the things I like. Everytime I meet somebody or something,my thinking about he or it all depends on my foregone experience and my mood of the time. I like it so just like it, if not so just not. Im a person thinking by heart not by brain. What is worse, I actually didnt think its wrong. I thought everyone is all like that.Everyone has his special way to cognize the world. So its individuality, not prejudice. But I think something is wrong. Though everyone can judge in the way he likes, he cant ignore other ones. You can like what you like and hate what you hate, but you should be objective when you meet external world. I think it means that you should consider things roundly, not just partial. Individuality is different from prejudice. What is it? I need to think more.
