October 1stis the national day of our country, which is a public holiday for the whole country. It’s an important day that marks the beginning of PRC. this great site and it has become the symbol of New York.

The Statue of Liberty stands on an island of the New York City harbor. It

is the tallest building ever built. When people get there, they will see a woman

holding a torch of fire. In her feet, people can see the chains that are broken,

which means she gets away from the restrictions and chases for freedom. There is

a book on her right hand, which is the Declaration of Independence.

The complete name of this statue is Liberty Enlightening the World. It is

the present from French people to American people. The meaning of friendship and

freedom are shared by both countries. Today, the meaning of the Statue of

Liberty is shared by the world. People can feel the peace when they see this

image.

First, we have four classes in the morning and three in the afternoon. We have to get to school before 7:30 because we have a morning class.

Second, I like my school life because teachers and my classmates are friendly and helpful. We also have lots of after-school activies.

Third, our school environment is very beautiful, the teachers all can make their lesson interesting and instructive. So I like my school life very much.

Yesterday evening my colleagues held a birthday party for me, including John Liu---I think you can remember---a nice tall boy, who invited you and I to his birthday last October. We enjoyed ourselves, and all of us mentioned your stay with us. We hope that you will come to China soon, if possible.

寒假的一天

It was a very busy evening, I was doing my homework at my home. My father

was writing a composition in the study room. My mother was interested in

Shanghai opera. She was watching a Shanghai opera contest. The apartment was

very quiet. Suddenly the light went out. It was a blackout, but I liked it very

much. It came and I didnt have to do my homework. We went to the living room

very slowly.

After 5 minutes, we all sat in the sofa. It was a lucky, fortunate day. I

said that lets held a concert. My parents agreed with me. I took out some

candles and lighted up. We were singing, laughing and talking. We had a really

good time. But while I was singing, the light suddenly turned on. Oh, my God. My

father went back to his room went on writing.

My mother turned on the TV and said to me “Dear, do your homework!” I felt

very frustrated. I sat at the desk and thought I hated light. I hoped there

would be a blackout the ne_t day. I thought I would enjoy myself more and more.

I went into a dream.

我和爸爸妈妈又来到火炬公园寻找春天。首先看到一些黄色的小花，非常的漂亮。我问爸爸是什么花，爸爸说是迎春花，因为它是春天开得最早的花，它是第一个来迎接春天的。我很喜欢这些美丽的小花。粉红色的桃花、大红色的杏花也都开了。在花的世界里我陶醉了。

Dear Tom,

Thanks for your letter which finally caught up with me in London. I suppose youre keen to hear how the trip has been so far. So heres a short description of whats happened.

Well, you remember we left Sydney on Monday and arrived in London 24 hours later. After such a long and exhausting flight the first thing we did was to have a good, long sleep. And after that?a good meal to make up for all that horrible airline stuff!

The first real day of our holiday was spent just walking around London to get a feel of the place. After that, however, we were more particular and planned each day carefully.

First, we looked at all the historical sights, such as the Tower of London, the Houses of Parliament, the British Museum and the National Gallery. Then we visited some other famous places, such as Kew Gardens and Hampstead Heath. Finally, we took a one-day trip to Oxford, which is really the most marvelous town. You should make sure to go there when you visit England.

After we had seen a lot of London, we flew to Paris. A t first, we didnt like the place-I suppose because it was so different from London. Later, though, we began to really love it and started to appreciate its differentness.

The final stage of our trip is a visit to Rome, after which we will be staying in Singapore for two days before returning to Australia.

小燕子从南方飞回来了，它们在空中翩翩起舞，那舞姿真好看!太阳公公早早地从天边升起来，放射着夺目的.光芒，好暖和啊!

一群群小蝌蚪在小溪里游荡着，它们在寻找青蛙妈妈吧?几只鸭子在水面上嬉戏玩耍，忽然，一只鸭子发现了水中的鱼儿，它一头扎进水里，想捉住小鱼，可机灵的鱼儿将身一扭，就轻快地逃走了。

today is my nine-year-old birthday. i am very happy, because my father buys a big cake for me and my sister just comes to guangzhou . after dinner , my family celebrate my birthday .

春天啊，你象征青春，希望和欢乐，轻风乃是你的翅膀!谁比得上你的秀丽，明媚善良。你如同一位孕育子女的母亲，年复一年地细心呵护每一个孩子。你的温柔、细心都化为春雨春风，使孩子们在温暖的沐浴下茁壮成长。

给我一枝花的诗笔吧，我想寻找动情的诗句，写给那养育万物的母亲——春天;也想把真挚的感情奉献给千千万万的妇女——伟大的含辛茹苦的母亲!

春天像一片生命的海倾注在地上，白色的花沫悬挂在树上，一片广远的，温暖的雾光布满各处，也布满在人们的心里，油然而生出一种朦胧的快乐。

春天在哪里呀？春天在哪里呀？春天在那青翠的山林里，这里有红花呀，这里有绿草，还有那会唱歌的小黄鹂哼着歌曲。我们来到公园，拿起自己的风筝开始放了起来，至于为什么要去这里吗，就一笔带过，开始欣赏作文吧！

老师带领我们来到了公园，首先，在门口集合，大家井井有条的站着，虽然大家很整齐，但是心已经飘到九霄云外了。什么时候才能放啊？ 都急死我了！大家正在想着呢，突然，老师一声令下，便开始了我们的春游之旅。

大家立马捣鼓起自己的风筝，有的跑着放着，却不知道风筝已经落到地上挨着地跑着，有的成群结队的放一个风筝，一个放风筝，一个看风筝，一个拉着风筝，还有的孤独的拽着自己的风筝，怎么也弄不起来风筝。

没玩一会儿，可就中午了，大家纷纷拿出自己的粮食：饼干、方便面、薯片？？？让人眼花缭乱，甚至有人还掏出了钱在附近的小商店买东西，短暂的午餐结束了，大家继续拿起自己的风筝放了起来，似乎再过几百年也想一直玩着风筝。

但是，炎炎的下午来临了，太阳似乎想把万物烤焦，大家都受不了了，有钱的立马掏出钱去买冰糕，没钱的立马去借钱，我还属于钱比较多的，吃着冰糕挺凉快。

在嬉闹中，一朵朵花开着，朋友们的笑脸也灿烂，一天过去了，我们收拾东西准备回家，但是，回家的路走得还真不容易，大家的腿要不抽筋，要不疼痛，我的腿就不说了，比其他人的还好一点。

回到家，我才发现时间过得这么快，我不甘心的继续回忆着这愉快的事情，似乎还能继续去一次一样，这旅途多么愉快啊！
