阴历新年对中国人来说是个很重要的节日。它大约要持续4天，在这期间，除了值班人员外，人们都放假。工人不上工，学生上不学，商店关门。

新年前几天人们就开始准备。农民们宰杀猪、鸡、羊。城市居民买肉、鱼、蔬菜。人们打扫房子，贴对联，挂彩灯。

新年除夕，各家各户围坐在一起吃团圆饭。饭后，人们看电视，到了午夜12点，在这辞旧迎新的时刻，人们燃放各种烟花炮竹来庆祝。新年第一天，即正月初一，所有的人都穿着最漂亮的衣服，路上相遇，互相道“新年好”，亲戚朋友拜年互赠礼物，孩子们尽情地玩耍。

Some are likely to travel while some stay at home and take part in various activities to enrich their holiday.

在我的家乡，腊八以后，年气就一天比一天旺了。家家户户都陆陆续续忙活起来了，打扫屋子，买鞭炮，买对联，请门神，买菜，买肉，蒸馒头……为过年做准备。

除夕这一天，吃过早饭后，全家人就开始忙活了。爸爸挂红灯笼和贴对联，爷爷和我贴门神和“福”字，妈妈和奶奶包饺子，真是忙得不亦乐乎。到了晚上，全家人围坐在一起，边吃着好吃的东西，边看春节联欢晚会。一直到跨年的钟声响起，才去睡觉。妈妈说这叫“守岁”。

到了大年初一，大人、小孩都穿着新衣服走亲访友。而一些老年人则去逛庙会。在庙会上，买一些吉祥物戴在身上，祈求新的一年身体健康，全家平安!

元宵节的晚上，孩子们提着各式各样的灯笼走街串巷，比谁的灯笼看。有纸糊的灯笼，有玻璃灯笼，有动物造型的灯笼，有人物造型的灯笼，还有……简直是琳琅满目，让人目不暇接。

不知不觉，春节结束了，大人、小孩又都开始了忙碌的工作或学习。

这就是我家乡过春节的习俗。

一年一度的新春佳节马上就要到来了，记得每年都要放鞭炮。可是爸爸总是以危险为能口不让我放鞭炮。但在去年经过我的恳求大人们终于让我来放炮。

在大年三十的那天，晚上12点我和爸爸拿着打火机从良房里拿出我们买的鞭炮先来到院子里，爸爸把鞭炮拉开像一个蛇形，正当爸爸要点燃的时候我跑过来对爸爸说;‘我来放吧’。小孩子不能放。因为想起爸爸怎么答应的，爸爸给我造了一个木棍子把烟头夹在棍子上，我轻轻走到鞭炮千把棍子响鞭炮一点一点的靠近，忽然我的手不知什么时候颤动了一下烟头碰到了鞭炮，我想一定要爆炸了于是我撒腿就跑看到鞭炮没有向进过一次又一次的努力，鞭炮终于响了，顿时四面八方的鞭炮同时响起这声音震耳欲聋，我知道为什么春节时人们都要放鞭炮了，这种热闹一种喜庆和幸福。

我的名字是大明。我去叔叔家过春节。今天早晨，我和我的朋友玩游戏。我想要放鞭炮，但是晓玲组织了我。我说：“过节了，怎么还不让放鞭炮?”晓玲说：“你看看宣传画就知道了。”宣传画上描绘了放鞭炮灰带来的危害,例如会引起火灾、造成环境污染、炸伤人。看完宣传画后，我想：是应该禁止放鞭炮。

While people clean up their houses, decorate it with traditional decorations such as Chinese knots and paper cutting.
