The Olympic Opening Ceremony was an international event and the whole world was watching! The event was held in a stadium designed to seat a large group of people.

Then, doves were released into the air as a symbol of peace. Runners in cross-country relays brought in the Olympic torch. Planes and ships transported the Olympic torch to each country that lies between Greece and the host country. The most exciting moment of the Olympic ceremony was when the torch entered the stadium and lit the Olympic Flame. The Flame was kept burning until the end of the Olympic games.

时光荏苒，一年悄无声息地过去了。看着桌上日渐增高的教科书，我不禁想起了初一的幸福生活：天天看小说，作业也不多，即使到了考试也不用多么紧张，上了初二，压力陡增啊！

这不，刚刚开学，压力就与我不期而遇。“唉，英语单词怎么这么多啊！”快要期初考了，我正在紧张的复习，看到许多单词由“朋友”变成了“陌生人。”若放在以前，我大可以不这么紧张，看看重点就行了。自打上了初二后，气氛就像冷却了一样。期初考前夕，更是“风声鹤唳，草木皆兵”。所以我现在不得不玩命地复习。钟表上的分针一圈又一圈地转着，已经到了11点，当妈妈进来为我送水果时，“意味深长”地看了我一眼，这眼神中包含着期望，还有一些心疼，父母热切的目光让我身上的包袱又厚了一层。

这样的过程却没能换来一个不错的结果。考试时，我居然粗心到英语听力题漏做，挖空心思才填了上去；数学有那么多错误没检查出来。当成绩出来了，老师念分时，念出的我的成绩像一只箭，把我扎了个透心凉。

“你数学、英语多少分？等等，我算算。咱俩总分一样！在看语文考多少分吧！”……下课后，这样的声音此起彼伏。唉，身不由己啊！“别不高兴了，下节体活课，走，打球去！”几个难兄难弟看我一副“失魂落魄”的样子，便来企图缓解我的痛苦。一听“打球”二字，我立刻一扫刚才的不快：“那还等什么，赶紧借球去啊！”仿佛刚才的那些数字与我没有任何关系，下次好好考就是了。别看我们都统统落榜，却是相当的乐观，所谓劳逸结合是也。不过几分钟，笑声已传遍了操场。
