Cars and Air Pollution

Too many cars have created a lot of serious problems in our world. Besides congestion, accidents and fast fuel consumption, cars are responsible for a good part of air pollution in big cities. All the time, they are pumping huge amounts of waste gases into the atmosphere. These gases are very harmful, causing disease and even death.

One possible solution is to design and develop clean cars and clean fuels. 疫情逐渐消逝，天气也逐渐朗润起来了。春天的午后，我在妈妈的带领下，来到了杭州医学院附近草地上。一眼望去，小草懒洋洋地舒展着自己的身子，树枝上的小芽儿贪婪着吮吸着春露，更有那喜笑颜开的花儿在向我们招手……

往草地的另一端跑去，碧波荡漾的湖水在太阳的映照下把郁金香反射得金光闪闪，好似一颗颗璀璨的明珠。走近一看，红的、白的、粉的……五彩斑斓，在碧绿的草地上显得更加目不暇接。亭亭玉立的花骨朵中间像住着小人国的花仙子般的花蕊，风一吹过，飘飘欲仙，微微跳起了舞来，显得格外灵动。那花瓣似穿着五颜六色的芭蕾舞裙，惦着脚尖在舞台上不停地转圈，轻柔得像一根柳条，荡着秋千，轻盈得像浮在空中的云朵，飘来飘去……

I feel honored to tell you about it. Celebrated on May 5th in the lunar

calendar, it is a folk festival having a history of more than two thousand

years. Also, it is one of the most important festivals in China.

As for the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival, there are many beautiful

legends, of which the story about Qu Yuan is most widely accepted. Qu Yuan, a

Chinese poet who loved his country deeply, drowned himself in the Miluo River

after his country’s being defeated. To honor him, people in China hold various

activities every year, including eating zongzi and dragon boat racing.

一个双休日，我们一家子去外公老家走亲戚。车子行驶在乡间的道路上，从车窗瞭望田野一片绿油油的。到家后我们就直奔田野，去寻找春天。

我们先来到了一个菜园子，那儿的蔬菜往上长出了一根根的菜蕻，有的结了一个个花苞，还有的开出一朵朵金黄色的小花，它们迎着春风向我们微笑。

我们又来到了一片韭菜地，韭菜根上长出了嫩绿的新叶。外公说：“春天的韭菜炒蛋，又嫩又香，好吃极了！”我真想割一把拿回家尝个鲜。
