believe in yourself, you can do it! Never give up, face the difficulties with a

The key to success is confidence. It makes you brave, helps you get over

the troubles, and brings motivation to you. For example, somebody always get

nervous when they have an important speech, if they are in a nervous mood, the

results are always terrible. But if they are confident to themselves, the

results turn out to be better. Therefore, be confident, believe in yourself,

keep smile in your face when comes to difficulties, and you will achieve

more.

成功，是个多么诱人的字眼啊!很多人都企望成功，但是，在现实生活中，却有这样的情况：有人取得了成功，在事业上硕果累累，为社会、为人类做出了贡献，受到人们的称颂，他的名字和业绩被载入了史册，为人们永世敬仰和祟拜;有人终生没有取得成功，在事业上平平庸庸，无所成就，结果是老来空伤悲。

世界上有没有成功的“秘诀”"?自然，那种神秘的写成“天书”的“秘诀”是没有的，那只不过是神话或者幻想而已。但在现实生活中，作为成功条件的“秘诀”是存在的。对此，仁者见仁，智者见智。有人认为，能否成功在于胸怀大志和老实肯干;有人认为，能否成功在于是不是勤奋;还有人认为，能否成功，关键在于一个人的机遇，如此等等。

在我看来，这些说法不无道理，但也都不尽如人意。一个积极的自我形象是成功的第一步;自信，是成功的第一“秘诀”。自信是煤，成功就是燃烧的火焰。

人各有所长，各有所短。一个人看不到自己的短处，容易自傲，固然不好;但是，看不到自己的长处，必然自卑。存在自卑心理的人，怎么能鼓起生活、事业的风帆?又怎么能达到光辉的彼岸呢?

阿基米德、伽利略、居里夫人、张衡、竺可桢等古今中外广为人知的科学家，他们之所以能取得成功，首先是因为有远大志向和非凡的自信力。英国发明家莫尔斯，原来是一位画家，但他对电磁学非常有兴趣。1932年从事电报机的创造，经过五年多的刻苦钻研，他制造成功了一台电磁式发报机。这台电报机很粗糙，遭到许多人的冷嘲热讽。在外界压力下，莫尔斯没有灰心，他坚信电报机对人类是有用的，更坚信：“我能干!”又经过几年的努力，电报机终于被各国普遍采用，并揭开了人类通信历史的新篇章。

一个人没有理想就像船没有罗盘一样。理想是成功的基石，明确自己行要什么才能真正致力于追求。越王勾践卧薪尝胆，以一句“何当凌绝顶，飞举跨苍龙”的豪言壮语，展示了理想和抱负，激发了他救过图像的信心，终于战胜了吴国。再远的路，慢慢的走下去，也能达到目的。千里之行源于不断的“开始”，一心跟着理想前进的人，世界会给他让步。

从足下开始，养成积累的习惯是通向成功的阶梯。

习惯并不是与生俱来的，它是在人们成长过程中逐渐养成的，好的习惯对一个人的一生，有极其重要的作用，可以说成功的人都善于一点一点的积累，我国古代著名医药学家李时珍为了写《本草纲目》手抄笔记有1000万字以上，英国著名物理谢家法拉第，当初在印刷厂当工人时，把废纸订成本子，把各种书籍里关于电学的论述抄下来整理成系统的材料加以研究。后来终于踏进了科学的大门，是电力时代降临人间。“千里之行”的成功源于坚持。

“千里”途中，百折不挠是战胜困难的法宝。

人不能躺在梦幻式的理想中生活，我们要拼搏。否则，纵有“揽天月”之志，也不过是“水中望月，镜里观花”，成为没有任何意义的幻想。电灯是爱迪生经过无数次艰苦的实验制造出来的，他实验曾换过一千多种灯丝，如果没有他的拼搏，还能有现在的电灯吗？成果是辛勤劳动的报酬，有一份耕耘才有一份收获。勤能补拙是良训，一分辛苦一分才。

什么是成功What is Success?

What is the definition of success? I believe different people will have different opinions about it. If anyone asks me what is success for me， I will tell him progress is success for me. I can have small goal or great aim in my whole life. If the goal what I set is too large for me， I will not taste the feeling of success. Or I always set small goals， so I will feel success all the time， which may make me become autophilia and without ambitions. Therefore， I think if I can be better than yesterday or last time， then I am successful.

成功的定义是什么?我相信不同的人会有不同的看法。如果有人问我对我来说成功是什么，我会告诉他进步就是成功。在我的一生中我可以设定很多小的或者大的目标。如果我定的目标对我来说太大了，我就尝不到成功的滋味。或者我设的目标太小了，这样我一直都会处于成功中，这也许会使我变得自恋没有雄心壮志。因此，我觉得要是我能够比昨天或者上一次好，这样我就算成功了。

TO Success: Opportunity or hard-working

Every body wants to succeed. But when it comes to the question that which factor leads to success, opportunity or hard-work, different people will offer different answers.

Some people think that opportunity is the first factor leading to success. They hold the idea, as a proverb saying, “Man proposes, god disposes”. Because almost all successful people have good luck and have caught their valuable opportunities, they believe that opportunity is a leading condition of the success. If seizes and makes the best use of opportunity available, one can succeed surely. In summary, to them, chances and lucks play the most important role on the road to success.

However, others maintain that “no pains, no gains” .Without exerting oneself, one could never expect to achieve success in no matter what one is doing. As is known to all, there is no royal road to the summit of success. One is likely to succeed only when one has worked with whole-hearted devotion and perseverance. Those who are lazy, sloppy and indifferent to their work, those who never concentrate on work will definitely end in failure. On the whole, as far as they are concerned, hard-working is the decisive factor to success.

In my view, both hard work and opportunity eventually matters. They are inseparable from each other, and put together, they make a great success. Hard work is to luck what fish is to water, and can be seen as an interior precondition of success. It lays the corner-stone for building a house while luck serves to cement it, to make the building bricks adherent to one another. They are the twins that contribute to success together. They are the factors from within and without respectively. We must work hard, make efforts and get prepared. When opportunities come, meet and make full use of them. Only in this way can we succeed one day.
