With the general standard of living improvingand the working week becoming shorter，more andmore people are able to make a holiday trip toplaces of interest. While many like to joinpackage tours fro convenience，I prefer to traveln my own.

I like travelling on may own not only because it costs much less but because it gives a great degree of independence and freedom. I went hiking to a mountain with my friends last summer.

We got to Hong Kong early in the morning. It had taken us about 2 hours to come here by plane. It is really an exciting city and very different from Taiyuan. My uncle showed my mother and me around Hong Kong. We visited Hong Kong Park.

Since I went to college, I have made many friends and we shared the same

interest. My friends and I liked traveling so much. We decided to travel abroad.

The destination was Thailand. We spent ten days there and had a nice trip. It

was such an unforgettable trip, and I learned a lot.

Firstly, it was my first time to travel abroad. My friends and I had made

many preparations. We read the travel guide and chose the information that was

Times flys. My summer holiday is coming to the end. My holiday is just so so. It is not too much difference as before. At the biginning of the vacation, I was doing my homework. After all, study comes first. After I finished my homework, it was almost the end of July. It is the time for me to help my family for harvest. It is so tired to to the farm work. For most people, they will choose to travelduring holiday because they want to relieve themselves from the high pressureof work. However, it happens quite often that people often ran into trafficjams on the way to travel. Some people think that we can relax ourselves bytraveling no matter of how many people there. Some people would rather to stayin home than going out to travel because they think there are too many people swarminto the scenic spots. In my point of view, I would rather to stay indoorsrather than going out to travel. Reasons are listed below.

Firstly, during holiday, so many peopleswarm into the travel spots that we can’t enjoy ourselves to the full. For mostpeople, they want to travel because during holiday, they can have several days torelieve themselves by traveling. However, so many people crowd together willmake their tour lose the original fun.

Secondly, during holiday, price will berising drastically. It is known to all that you need to spend much more to buythings or taking bus or any other transportation since many retailers will raisegoods’ price during this holiday to get fat profits.

All in all, travel during holiday is not agood choice for us since its inconvenience in traveling among a huge crowd ofpeople and also the dramatically high price for goods and transportations willlet us pay extra money.

Everyone always has a good Sunday. On Sundays, everybody does some things what he like.

Last Sunday, Jack had a relaxing Sunday. He got up 6 o’clock. After breakfast, Jack played basketball with his friends. They were very happy. Then he played the guitar in the room.
