Skipping class is very common on college. Some students skip classes because they think that some courses are boring and useless. However, in my opinion, there are always something value in each course we can learn.

For one thing, each course has its knowledge we need to learn. And knowledge between different courses is usually connected with each other. Before I went to middle school, I lived with my grandparents. At that time,

I stayed in the country, which was the most beautiful place for me. Early in the

morning, I walked along the country road, appreciating the fresh air. We raised

Recently, global warming has become a hot topic among people. It results

from serious air pollution. As the environmental pollution is more and more

The usage of Internet becomes one of the most controversial topics in the society. As a student, I believe Internet is beneficial to me more than the way it harms me. There are many advantages for using Internet.

First, I can best use my time to find information online instead of going to different libraries. Also, the information can be dated back in decades ago. It is very helpful to use those information as reference and historical proof. In the library, it is hard to find so much "old" information. Another advantage to use Internet is that I can stay home and have a lecture online. It is much more convenience to me because I can stay warm to have class in the winter time instead of spending two hours on the bus and physically attend class. In addition, Internet provides me a better way to communicate with my friends and professors. I can get response from my professor in a few minutes instead of waiting outside of his door for hours. Some of my friends are living in a foreign countries, I can simply just drop him an email whenever I can and get a message from him very quick. It is much better than waiting for letters. However, there are also disadvantage of using Internet. For example, I might spend too much time on the Internet to concentrate on my study. There might be too much tempatation that I will access some of the harmful information I can on the Internet.Even though the usage of Internet has both positive and negative effect to me, I still consider Internet is a symbol of technology development. Silently,I opened the door and stepped outside to face the cutting air.The moon had already lost some of its glow and the land was bathed in a dull mist.A lurid light in the east proclaimed the approach of day while the weatern landscape was bleak with some spooky stillness like a wizard kingdom.What you could only hear was the creepy sounds,seemingly out of the hell----the barking of dogs,the hammering of blacksmith,the lowing of cows and the crying of pigs under the butchers knife.

Gradually,the lurid light darkened and spread across the west.Every flower,every tree and

every weed were bathed in the sunshine.Suddenly,it turned out that all the sounds were not for any melancholy they suggested,but for their twilight bustle which was too solemn and mysterious for me.

I moved om,treading briskly along the road,the dry and crisped snow crunching under my feet.

Long long ago, many families had three or four children. They couldnt look after everyone well, so the children must do everything by themselves. They were too poor to go to school. Some of them liked learning, but they had to go to find jobs to make money. Since they were children, they could do lots of difficult things like their parents. Sometimes they even did better than them!

But now, many families have only one child and they regard their child as a pearl. They did everything for the children. Every day, when the child gets up, their parents help him to make the room clean. They also get breakfast ready for their child. When the child is free, they can sleep or do other things, but they neednt do any housework. So many children cant cook; wash their clothes, some dont even know how to clean the floor. That’s too bad.

In the future, many families will have computers. We can work on the computer instead of going out to do everything. The children also can learn on the computers, so they dont need to move! After a long time, well become fatter and fatter. We wont be able to do anything by ourselves!

So, which way is good for us? We must think more.

很久以前，许多家庭有三或四个孩子。他们不能照顾好每一个人，所以孩子们必须自己做所有的事情。他们太穷上不起学。尽管有些人喜欢学习，但是他们不得不去找工作赚钱。当他们还是个孩子的时候就像他们的父母一样能做很多困难的事情。有时，他们甚至比他们父母做得更好!

但是现在，很多家庭只有一个孩子，他们把孩子视为掌上明珠。他们所做的一切都是为了孩子。每天，当孩子起床了，他们的父母帮他把房间打扫干净。还为孩子准备早餐。当孩子空闲的时候可以睡觉或做其他的事情，但不必做任何家务。很多的孩子不会做饭,不会洗自己的衣服，有些甚至不知道如何扫地。这样太可惜了。

在将来，许多家庭拥有电脑。我们可以在电脑上工作，而不是去做每一件事。孩子们也可以在电脑上学习，所以他们不需要走动!长时间以后，我们会变得越来越胖。我们做不了任何事情!

所以，什么样的方式对我们是好的?我们必须想得更多的。

Recently, “clearyour plate” campaign is more and more popular in society, which advocates saving against wasting. The campaign draws our attention to wasting on campus.Some students are noticed to throw away a lot of food in the canteen. As is often the case, some lights are still on with nobody in classrooms. What’s more, many a student spends much money buying unnecessary items. As far as Iam concerned, it’s high time that we fought against wasting. Here’re my suggestions. Firstly, I think our school should carry out various activities to arouse students’ awareness of saving. Secondly, relevant rules and regulations are supposed to be made to punish those who waste things. Most importantly, we should form the habit of saving from now. It is everybody’s duty to save resources.

ncreased stress results in increased productivity--up to a point. However,

this level differs for each of us. Its very much like the stress on a violin

string. Not enough produces a dull. harsh sound. Too much makes sharp, annoying

noir, or causes the string to snap. However, just the right degree can create

magnificent tones. Similarly, we all need to find the proper level of stress

that promotes optimal performance, and enables us to make harmonious music. Good

health is more than just the absence of illness. Rather, it is a very robust

state of physical and emotional well being that acknowledges the importance and

inseparability of mind/body relationships. In the next program. I hope you will

"i know this isnt much. im really not a great artist, but i think your son would have wanted you to have this." the father opened the package. it was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man.

he stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. the father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes swelled up

with tears. he thanks the young man and offered to pay him for the picture. "oh no, sir, i could never repay what you son did for me. its a gift.

the father hung the portrait over his mantle. every time visitors came to his home he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected.

but still the auctioneer continued, "the son! the son! who will take the son?" finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. it was the longtime

gardener of the man and his son. "ill give you $10 for the painting." being a poor man, it was all he could afford.

但拍卖经纪人依旧继续着：“儿子，儿子，谁要这儿子?”终于，一个声音从厅堂的深处传来：“我出十块钱要这画。”因为穷，这是他力所能及的价钱。

"we have $10, who will bid $20??"

"give it to him for $10. lets see the masters".

"$10 is the bid, wont someone bid $20?"

“有人标了十块，有谁肯标二十的吗?”

“十块给他吧，让我们看名作。

“标价十块，没有人标二十的吗?”

the crowd was becoming angry. they didnt want the picture of the son. they wanted the more worthy investments for their collections.

the auctioneer pounded his gavel. "going once, twice, sold for $10!"

a man sitting in the second row shouted, "now lets get on with the collection!

the auctioneer laid down his gavel "im sorry, the auction is over".

"what about the paintings?"

人群开始愤怒起来。他们不想要这儿子的画。他们要收藏的是更值得投资的东西。

拍卖经纪人敲打着槌子：“一次竞标，两次竞标，十块得标!”

一位坐在第二排的人喊道：“现在让我们开始进入收藏品的竞标。”

"im sorry, when i was called to conduct this auction, i was told of a secret stipulation in the will. i was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this

time. only the painting of the son would be auctioned. whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings. the man who took the son, gets everything!"
