I love to read. When I was three years old, my parents had taught me to

read. They bought me some books with funny and colorful pictures. Soon I was

attracted by these stories and fell in love with reading. Since I went to

school, I often went to the library and it was my favorite place. Studying in

the library provided me a silent environment. The most important thing was that

as so many excellent students sat around me. I felt the great motivation to move

on. I could find the data any time and read the books I liked. I have gained a

lot of knowledge and find the great hour there.

Most westerners always celebrate Christmas Day as their major festival, in

order to memorialize Jesus. During that time, they always have several days off,

so they can enjoy this festival with all their hearts. The children often get

together with their friends. The adults are busy with decorating their houses.

They also send the postcards with their best wishes to each other. In the

streets, there are so many Fathers Christmas sending presents to the passers-by.

And everything is on a discount in the supermarkets. Thus the supermarkets are

the busiest places.

In the evening, the families usually have pudding, sandwiches, apple pies

and some other desserts for dinner. After supper, the families always sing and

dance around the Christmas tree. Sometimes, they also go to church. Before going

to bed, the children often hang up their stockings beside their bed, so that

Father Christmas will fill them with presents. It is said that Father Christmas

After entering college,we found, to our surprise,that differences between

high school life and college life are great.In high school,we always depended on

our parents and teachers to solve all kinds of difficult problems.At

college,however,we have to rely exclusively on ourselves.Whats more, we have to

learn how to get along with our classmates and roommates.

Four years at college is an important yet very short period of time in our

life.So it is always expected that we adapt to this life as quickly as

possible.But it is a pity that not everyone can do so immediately.Here are some

First,get familiar with the main buildings on the campus.Spend one or two

Thanksgiving Day falls on the fourth Thursday of November every year. It is

the most truly American of the national Holidays in the United States. It is a

time for sharing. In the United States, it is their tradition that family

members get together for a reunion to have a traditional big dinner. On the

dinner table, people will find apples, oranges, chestnuts, walnuts and grapes.

There will be plum pudding, mince pie, other varieties of food and cranberry

juice and squash. The best and most attractive among them are roast turkey and

pumpkin pie. Although it is the traditional festival of America, it reminds us

Recently, I saw a piece of news on the newspaper. This news has a picture

matched. The picture shows that a young lady sitting on the seat of a bus. But

it is strange that an old lady sits on the leg of the young lady, which there

are still many empty seats on the bus. I am totally moved after reading this

news. The old lady is the mother of the young lady. The old lady had some

problem with her back and leg that she couldn’t sit independently. And her

daughter does not want to see her mother stand on the bus in such an old lady,

so I see situation on the picture. Having read this, my eyes become wet. When we

are young, our mother will often carry us if there is any inconvenient, but when

our mother gets old, we seldom carry her.

there are many people who grace to us. Our parents are the two people who give

Learning English just like learning any other language, is hard work so my first advice is to spend much time practicing using English every day. Besides, we should listen to the teacher and take notes carefully in class. Go over what is learnt regularly and finish doing our homework carefully. Listen to English radio programmes, read English stories and newspapers, watch English films and TV programmes ,keep a diary in English and attend English debbates and speech contests. In recent years, banning fireworks in a large number of Chinese cities has aroused a heat discussion among the public. Some are against it while some are for it. As far as I am concerned, banning fireworks is necessary and advantageous.

近年来，在中国许多大城市都有禁止燃放烟花的政策，这一禁令已引起社会大众的热烈讨论。有些人支持也有人表示反对，我认为禁止燃放烟火是很有必要且有益的。

There are a few points accounting for my view. First, banning fireworks is good for keeping air quality. Setting off fireworks is one of the sources of air pollution because it will produce a lot of sulfur dioxide and other hazardous gases, which may lower air quality if they are emitted unlimitedly. Second, banning fireworks is helpful for people’s health. The hazardous gases from setting off fireworks are a potential harm for people’s health because these gases are the causes of some serious disease like respiratory diseases. Besides, fireworks are also a threat for people. The explosion of fireworks is so fast that people will be hurt without awareness. In addition, setting off fireworks will produce noise, which has a negative influence on people’s health and life.

For above reasons, I consider that banning fireworks is advantageous. In addition, I think that other healthy and meaningful ways of celebrating festivals should replace setting off fireworks.

台湾张文亮先生的短诗《牵着一只蜗牛去散步》引起我的注意，上帝给我派了一个任务，让我带着一只蜗牛去散步，可即使我知道蜗牛并不能走得太快，却还是依旧不断去催，除了责备她唬她。蜗牛也只能用抱歉的眼光看着我，仿佛说“我已经尽力了。”诗中并没有提及这个故事的结尾到最后蜗牛是否做到，而我也是否如愿以偿的完成了任务呢?答案无法得知。

但是吸引我的我的并不是这个故事的结局，而是他所陈述的三个角色，上帝我蜗牛，上帝给我布置一项看似不可完成的任务，到底是出于什么用心，并且我和蜗牛的关系也会因为这项任务发生什么样的改变呢?迷雾层层在不断召唤着我去探索。

深夜微风不断摇曳的身姿，膝盖上的书页被吹的哗哗作想响和木摇椅上带来咯吱咯吱的声音交相辉映。使带着困惑的我渐渐合上了眼皮。

As a student, I expect the winter holiday very much, because I don’t have

to go to school every day. So I can sleep and get up late. But this winter

holiday, I am not very happy. I didn’t do well in the final exam. It makes my

parents disappointed. I feel sorry to them. Besides, I got ill the whole winter

holiday. I caught a cold at first and then had a fever. I had to see a doctor

2月8日，黑龙江省委宣传部、省文明办、省报业集团联合举办了“社会各界学习谢尚威、郭宵歧事迹”座谈会，以谢尚威见义勇为感动事迹作为开端，启动了在全省“寻找身边的美”大型活动。

与此同时，哈尔滨市精神文明办发出倡议，号召市民向用双臂勇接坠楼少年的“最美叔叔”谢尚威学习，“发现身边感动，争做冰城好人”。倡议提出，哈尔滨市民应该学习谢尚威舍己救人、见义勇为的奉献精神，学习他尊重生命、关爱他人的道德情怀，学习他质朴无华、淡泊名利的思想境界，在日常工作生活中发现好人、寻找榜样，“做好事、长好心、当好人”。

谢尚威现在经常在微博上和大家沟通，而最近的一条微博中，他感慨“过自己喜欢的日子，是最好的日子，活自己喜欢的活法，是最好的活法。”

在我上小学三年级的时候，第一次接触到了英语。你还记得第一次接触到英语那欣喜的神情吗？那些不认识的单词或者短语，都成了最美好的回忆，像音符一般久久的萦绕在教室的上空。

刚开始学习英语，困难重重。因为英语有许许多多的音标及字母构成，这些字母不仅考验人们的记忆力，而且还能而且还考验人们的拼写及读写能力。我当时就被英语单词“拦路虎”拦住了——

英语单词总是拼写不会。我认真的分析过原因，却找不到丝毫的头绪。后来老师告诉我，尽量把单词读的读准，把每个音都发出来，才能准确的记单词。但是我常识之后效果并不显著。我自己也在困难中一直摸索着，探索着。经过半个多月的努力学习，我终于懂得了以后一定要按单词的读音来记单词。因为每一个读音都代表着每一个字母的发音，这样可以又快又准的记好单词。

上了初中之后，接触到更多的语法及短语，这可怎么办？许许多多的语法和漫天的短语，如同雪花一般纷扬而来。重重地压在每个初中生的头上，而我在这时却准备好一个小小的笔记本，上面记着我归类后的所有单词和短语。就这样，不厌其烦，我把所有的重点知识都记载下来，到考试的时候拿出来轻松复习，每回都能取得优异的成绩。

现在的我，英语之路已经走到一个新的阶段。我接触到更多的单词，短语，更多的句型，结构，语法，我甚至能提笔就能写出几篇英语作文，这是一个可喜可贺的事情。但是我仍然不骄傲，因为学习英语之路漫漫，而只有保持一颗平常的心态，才能更好的学习新的知识，就像大海只有保持平静，才能更容纳更多的水滴。

其实，学习英语之路并不是简单的，也不是困难的。有些人问我学习英语的方法，我跟他们说：“一定要勤奋，善于总结，因为只有将它系统地归纳知识，才会在每个版块里送给你的你应有的知识。只有这样，英语之路才能越来越轻松；只有这样，学习英语才能如虎添翼，更加轻松，容易。

关于中学生使用手机

赞成意见：

1.现在是信息社会，手机是最快的信息交流的工具之一。

2.应充分利用好手机。如偶遇突发事故，可立即拨打手机求助。

3.可在每天学习之余利用手机游戏放松一下自己。

4.只要正确使用好手机，紧跟时间并无过错，追求时尚可以理解，但学习是首要任务。

反对意见：

1.学校已提供了公共电话，因此手机并不能带来更多的方便，而且花费较多。

2.若课堂接听手机会影响上课。

3.学生玩手机游戏或接发短信，将无法集中精力学习。
