在平时，应该多读一些英语材料，这是泛读。不过今天我主要围绕考试来谈，也就是落实到怎么样做阅读理解。我自己做阅读理解可以分为四个步骤，我曾经把这四个步骤教给很多同学，只要能按照这四个步骤做下来的，一两月之内，英语成绩基本都有很大的气色。

第一步，是先看问题。问题下面的选项可以稍微扫一下，不用认真看。这样做的目的是快速了解整篇文章的大概意思和考点。也就是说你把题目看完了之后，基本就知道这篇阅读理解在讲什么了。因为有的阅读文章它的写作方式不是“开门见山”式的，往往会先闲扯两句，然后慢慢的导入主题。很多人上来先看文章，一看开头——看不懂，不知道作者想要说什么，然后就晕了头，后面的内容也就跟着糊里糊涂起来。所以我们先看题目，知道全文大意和考点，即使看文章的时候有些地方看不懂，也影响不大了。

第二步，就是认真的把全文阅读一遍，然后做题。

这前面两部，是我们做阅读理解的常规步骤，在考场上，也就按照这两个步骤来就不错了。完成者前面那个步骤，每篇文章需要用的时间大概是12分钟。

since i go to high school, i have to walk a very far distance, it always takes me half an hour to reach the school. my father bought me a bike last week, he said it would save a lot of time. but the problem was that i didn’t know how to ride. i needed to learn ride the bike. the first time when i rode the bike, i lost my balance quickly and nearly fell down, my father tried to keep my balance, so that i did not fell to the ground. after i tried for an hour, i started to know how to keep the balance and can rode for a few distance. then my father stayed away from me and watched me. without my father’s protection, i scared, but i needed to learn by myself. i fell down many times, but i finally could ride.

Work and Happiness

Happiness is dependent upon work. Sometimes we complain that we have too much work, but we fail to realize that it’s our work that keep us moving on and helps us to become a better man. Last summer I visited my friends in a small village. It was obvious that working has become an indispensable part of their daily lives. They all went to the field to plant the crops. The sun was shinning above them and they looked quite happiness about their work. On their face there were such smiles as I had never seen before.

Work provide us with happiness. Work is more than a necessity for human beings. If we have no work to do, we will waste our precious time. That’s pity. We will lose everything in the end. Work helps us to realize the importance of life, then we will appreciate it more. Everybody who live in this society could not live without working. If we spend every day idly, we will find life is boring.

Currently, some cities are considering a food ban on subways, which has sparked heated discussion. Some people say food should be banned because of the trash and rats they attract. And, garbage from discarded food can cause track fires. Beyond sanitary and mechanical concerns, food can also cause fights, as was discovered last week by one passenger who criticized a woman eating steamed stuffed bun on the subway.

However, some others are opposed to the idea. They argue that people like eating in the train in the morning because they dont have enough time to eat at their houses or restaurants. Sometimes that may be the only time or meal a transit rider may be able to eat especially when traveling long distances. Besides, there are people, for example diabetics, who do require food at various times to maintain blood-sugar levels.

Personally, Im against the ban because of the huge inconvenience it would cause to commuters, and the expense involved in enforcing it. Still, I believe we should have a little common courtesy. I think we all have responsibility to try to treat our subway system and fellow riders with respect, and that extends to food as well.

Learning to pay attention to learning methods, I found a set of learning methods, it has brought a great improvement to my study.
