陈敏学，1929年生，是土生土长的广东省深圳市东门人，当时家在“深圳墟”，即今天的老东门一带。

1938年10月12日，日军分三路在大亚湾沿澳头至平海强行登陆，入侵后派一小股部队驻扎在“深圳墟”一带，并开设了一个学习班，逼迫小学生到那里学日语。陈敏学和四、五十个孩子都被拉去。
