On the top of the mountain hill lived a little boy called Marlin. He was a

jolly fellow that helped people when they were in need.

The only problem was, whenever there was somebody in need, he would give

them something to eat so as to solve their problems. The people in his country

soon became sick of this, and so wanted him to stop. But Marlin just won’t; and

went on helping and helping and helping… nobody knew when he was going to stop,

or when they were going to let him know that they didn’t want him to bother all

day. Ugh, but Marlin wouldn’t stop; all day long he helped this and that, the

problem was that people don’t want to mordacity him, and they said that he was

very kind.

One day, Marlin saw a boy crying, and said, “Hey there little one; don’t

cry, I, the super Marlin is here! And I am going to solve your problem!” “I want

a music box,” at these words, Marlin was astonished, “A-a music b-box?” “Yes,”

replied the boy jumping happily, “But my parents won’t buy me one. It is at the

shop near Sunshine school. I hope to get me one! Wahoo!” Marlin said, “I

couldn’t afford a music box! It is worth $100!”

Marlin was very sad, but also wanted to try, for he was the king of

everything, and helps save the day. He ran to his house, and counted his money,

but found out that he only had $10. He was now very, very angry. He had decided

to earn more and more money, and so to help that poor little boy. As he had

promised, he worked very hard to earn money. Although he was just a little boy,

he ought to do what he had said; for those are the rules. And when he had enough

money, he would buy the music box, and hand it to that poor boy.

Marlin did anything he could to earn money: Sweep the floor, clean his

room; grow plants, water them, and cut flowers for the house. When he had

already $90, he had decided to help other people. When it was already winter, he

took a shovel and helped his neighbors, friends to shovel snow; and they paid

him a great deal of money.

At last, Marlin had got enough money; he was so excited that he hopped here

and there ten times! Finally, he went to the store near Sunshine school, and

bought the music box, and then handed it to the same boy at his home. Marlin

soon became famous, and he was called, ‘Marlin Blavatsky.’

I noticed an ad. In the paper today you said you were looking for people to join your expedition team. It sounded as if it might be fun so Im writing to say Id like to come along.

About myself: I left school at 16 because I wanted to earn a bit of money. After that I got a few part-time jobs as a waiter, etc. But I didnt stick to any of them for long. Recently Ive been doing a bit of hitch-hiking round Europe so Ive had some experience of traveling the hard way which should come in handy on the expedition youre planning. By the way, Im a great guitarist so I can keep you all amused round the campfire at night.

Let me know when I can call in for a chat about dates and other details, etc.

I was born in 1968, and I went to school from 1973 to 1988. In 1987 I took the General Certificate of Education, and I got good grades in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. After leaving school, I attended the Orient Technical College, where I first studied Fiber Technology and Color Chemistry; later I studied other subjects related to textile manufacture, and in 1991 I obtained the Diploma in Textiles.

After completing my studies, I joined the Top Clothing Company where I worked until 1996. In that year I moved to Prior Productions, who was pleased with my work, and as a result, in 1998, I was promoted to Assistant Works Manager there.

I enjoy my work, and I am prepared to work hard. Moreover, I am sure that Prior Productions would give me an excellent reference. I therefore feel that my application deserves your serious consideration.

I like animals very much. I have a dog, It’s my favourite animal. It’s

white, It looks like a snow ball. It has two big eyes and ears. But its nose and

mouth are very small. It’s very naughty.

It often stares at my food when I have a meal. When I’m home it follows me

all the time.

When I do my homework, it often sits beside quietly, but sometimes runs

around me and shouts: wom wom.

I like my dog very much.

During the years of suffering, a super hero called Maze was facing the war

of the Americans. One day he was planning a vacation, that was going to be

amazing; when a big giant octopus attacked the whole city…

He had no choice but to stop his vacation, and to stop the octopus. He was

transforming into a big octopus, and ready to battle Maze. Maze was ready; he

got his sword and shield ready for battle. When he came, everybody cheered for

him; the octopus was not very happy…

He used his legs and arms and kicked Maze right up into the air. Maze said

to the people; “I have a plan, but I’ll need you guys to help me with it;”

everybody agreed to help Maze, and so they all gathered around to listen to

Maze’s plan. He said to the people, “I need a person, to help and pull a string;

that way, when the giant octopus reached me, you guys just pull the string, and

it will trip; then I will need a guy that is good at tying knots, that is when

the giant octopus trips, that guy will tie his up and give it to me; then rest

of the problems I will deal with it…”

Everybody agreed to his magnificent plan, and so they got to work. First

Maze went to get a very long string, and gave it to two people that were very

good at strength to pull it, instead of pulling it let us make it that Maze’s

plan was not at length that good, for the octopus knew all about his plan; and

so could very easily pass the test…

When they failed, Maze thought about this problem; they all knew that the

octopus it always listening to their plans. Now what? Well since Maze could tell

the other people his plan, he had decided to show them his plan. He drew it on a

piece of white paper, and showed it to the people, he made some moves of how it

was done; they all understood, but the giant octopus didn’t. His plan was the

same, but the giant octopus didn’t know it.

He decided to be careful, but he couldn’t, because the string was

invisible; instead of the string part, Maze changed it into plastic paper; that

way the giant octopus couldn’t see what they were up to; this plan was good, but

let us see how it ends.

Then two men were pulling the plastic, the plastic paper broke; and so

maybe Maze didn’t think it all the way through. He changed a magnificent plan:

First of all, some people distract the giant octopus; and then Maze tied his

legs and arms; and threw him into the ocean, where he was gone and 100 percent

drowned with his legs and arms tied behind his back.

And so Maze saved the day once again, and when his mom and dad returned

home; they were very proud of him. But maze was still sad, his mom and dad

asked; “What is the matter Maze?” “Well, I did save the day Hooray! But I still

didn’t get a chance of relaxing like little children, they were like holidays!”

then his mother and father decided to hold him a holiday celebration, and lived

happily ever after.

The octopus did return, and it was all to his mom the scientist. Maze did

defeat him again and again; until the octopus was tired, he knew that he was not

the guy to beat Maze, so he changed his mind and left the city and gave lived to

Maze’s fans in peace.

Smoking And Health

Today smoking is a widespread habit ali over the world. Not only the old,

the youth, but also middle school students have been engaged in smoking. Many of

them think that smoking is a smart symbol.

However, smoking is harmful to one’s ,health. It contributes a lot of lung

cancer, from which many people have died in the past years. It can also cause

many other diseases. In a word, if you smoke, you do have a much greater chance

of losing your health. Furthermore, scientific research shows that smoking is

not only harmful to smokers themselves, but also a threat to public health,

especially to women and children. Therefore, many countries have made laws

forbidding smokers to smoke m public places such as cinemas, stations,

hospitals, and so on Giveup smoking! If you don’t smoke, don’t start. Give

upsmoking for the sake of your health, for the sake of your family, and for the

sake of the whole world.

我是您20__届小学毕业学生张慧玲。离开母校已经11年了。如今即将大学毕业离开校园的我，对人生也有了新的感悟，想和您分享，谈谈自己的感受。

回想着自己一路走过的青春岁月，小学的校园给我留下了深刻的印象，不仅有孩童时期和玩伴一起玩耍的记忆，更有老师您令人难忘的语文课堂,这都让我记忆犹新。我记得老师您是六年级才接手我们班的语文教学任务的，面对陌生的您，我们有些害怕，有些彷徨，因为不知道老师您会以什么样的教学方式与我们相处，我们是否会适应，最后我们带着既期待又紧张的心情，看着老师您笑容满面的走进我们的教室，铿锵有力的喊了一声“上课!”。那时候，您在我的印象里留下两个字——精神。是啊，上课就是应该有精神，也要有激情，这样才会让学生全神贯注的听课，不容易走神。最主要的还是老师您上课时候，把书本的知识活灵活现，并不是生搬硬照，加上老师您自己的学识，把书本上的知识转换成故事，或者是变得通俗易懂但又不乏趣味，大家听得时而哄堂大笑，时而鸦雀无声。我记得六年级的时候，班上好多男同学也踊跃加入了举手发言的队伍，您的上课方式深受我们喜爱。老师，还记得赵丹吗?有一次下课铃响了，她意犹未尽的说了一句：“啊!怎么就下课了，这节课好快啊!”。我想，这句话，应该就是我们对老师您喜爱的另一种表达方式。

您不仅上课生动，您的教育方式也是很能激发我们学习语文的兴趣和斗志。我记得您提议全班分为八个组，每个组有个组长给大家统计分数，按课本规定背诵的同学，可以相应加分。另外，可以背诵课外书籍甚至是背诵作文范文的好词好句，都可以加分。就连早上进入教室最早的前十名同学，也可以加分。这个政策一宣布，就连冬天，大家都是六点多就争先恐后到教室了。大家相互竞争，充满动力。每到下课时间，教室外都是同学们搬着凳子到外面背书的身影，那个时候的自己还把语文书都背了一遍呢，虽然不记得分数很高会有什么奖励，但是那时候的我们，在这种良性竞争的环境下，各自激发了自己的潜力，最后我记得您表扬了我，心里美滋滋的。您说要我们锻炼写作，让我们自己摘抄一些优美的文章以及平时您批阅我们觉得满意的文章，让我们工整的抄写在一个小本子里面，让我们自己花心思装饰这本属于自己的“书刊”，然后把书刊放在教室里挂着，供全班同学借阅。顿时，同学们觉得自己像个小作家，于是以后每次写作文，我们都特别兴奋，很想每次都能得到您的肯定，然后再誊写到我们的宝贝书刊里面去。

马老师，您知道吗?你很少凶我们，我们就算不听话，您也只是耐心地教育，您像我们的妈妈一样关心着我们。记得班上林元庆那时候个子比较小，您下课的时候总是和我们打成一片，会和我们聊天说笑，我们开玩笑说，林元庆就像您的孩子，您一把把他抱在自己腿上，并对我们说：你们都是我的孩子!我们都笑了，老师您也笑了，您这么关心我们，我们唯有努力学习，才能报答您的谆谆教诲。当年我们小学升初中考试全县前8名都在我们班，创造了城关二小的奇迹，这也许就是同学们对您最好的报答。

Last week we did a survey about good places in our city. This is what we

learned. Most of high school are great. No.10 high school is the best of all. It

has the best teachers and it is the most beautiful. People’s hospital is the

best hospital in town. It has the most comfortable seat and the friendliest

service. Modern Cinema is better than any other movie theater. It has the

biggest screens. Xiwang Clothing Store is the most popular in our town and has

The Jacksons spend their happy time on Sundays. They get up early in the

As a child， I am very naughty and forget about what my mother tells me. One

time， I go back home very late. When I see my mother， she smiles at first and

then turns angry， because she has told me before if I go home late， I must tell

her in advance. I let my mother heart-broken. I feel sorry and promise it wont

happen again.

Today, I saw the notice on the blackboard under the school, this week

Saturday for the mid-term examination. Mother wants me to Chinese more than 90

points in the mid-term exam, math more than 95 points, I was very nervous.

Because only three days, so I want to read quickly review unit of one to four in

the morning. Because I must surpass mother request!

It is nighttime. The sky is black. There are tiny lights in the sky. They

are stars. There are many stars. She looks all over the sky. She sees stars

everywhere. A few stars are big. Most stars are small. She counts the stars. She

counts 86 stars. She tells her mom.

After a few hours of resting, it was time to do some evening chores. Jack

the tree house; “Annie! No!” shouted Jack, but he was too late; Annie already

climbed up, Jack had no choice; he climbed up too, and when he arrived he found

the floor all covered with books, “let us make another wish so that we could

have another adventure!” “No!” cried Jack, “Well I’m going!” shouted Annie, he
