唉!刚想转身，我的目光却又落在了柜台角落里的一件小玩艺儿上：一个精巧别致的鸟笼里，有一母一子两只鸟儿。雏鸟正张大了嘴巴，等待妈妈喂食;而鸟妈妈呢，正准备把食物往孩子嘴里送。造型逼真，栩栩如生。碰一下笼子，那对鸟儿都动了起来，好一幅生趣盎然的“喂食图”啊!望着这小巧玲珑的鸟儿，我不禁想起了我的妈妈，她用慈母的爱心细心地哺育着我：生活上，关心体贴;学习上，教育督促。我像阳光雨露下的幼苗儿一样茁壮成长。这雏鸟不就是我吗?这鸟妈妈，多么像我的妈妈啊!顿时，我内心无比激动。一看标价，嘿，正好5元，我高兴地付了钱，小心翼翼地捧着它，一路小跑向家奔去。

回到家里，我顾不上换鞋，就跑到妈妈身旁，深情地说：“妈妈，今天是母亲节，我送给您一件礼物，感谢您的哺育之恩。祝您节日快乐，永远年轻!”随后取出礼物递给了妈妈。她先是一愣，随后便明白了一切。她激动得一句话也没有说，伸出微微颇抖的手搂住了我。这时，我看到她的眼眶里闪烁着晶莹的泪花。

As we all know, reading has a lot of benefit. It can open up our eyes because books are full of knowledge, and it makes us wiser and richer in life. I like readiry; newspapers and magazines, from which I get lots of fun and learn about whats going on around the world. I also read story books and novels in my spare time which make me relaxed and happy. I seldom read e-books because theyre bad for eyes. On weekends, I usually spend a whole afternoon reading in the library. And I also read for about half an hour before going to bed every night.

"Experience is the best teacher," people say. Indeed, the most important, and sometimes the hardest, lessons we learn in life come from our participation in situations.

For my part, you cant learn everything from a book. And only practice makes you a successful person.

To begin with, first-hand experience is important for a child. When we were children, we learned the fundamental lessons of life solely from experience.

With the approachment of life in university, choosing a suitable dorm becomes a hot topic among the freshmen.

As far as I am concerned, renting a flat close to the university will be a smarter choice. Compared with school dorm, although the cost of 800 yuan per month is an extra load for the parents, it gives you more freedom as you live alone. Brave and independent as I am, I will be satisfied with this way of live. In addition, while the school dorm only provides one restroom on each floor, I can enjoy a comfortable bath in the flat. I have many friends, but Jim is one of my best friends. He is not handsome, but kind-hearted. We know each other at primary school. He was the tallest in our class at that time.
