There was once a little boy that wanted to be a good captain, but he knew

that he was too poor for that; and so he made up a plan to go a world called

Penny. It was a funny name but he didn’t mind. He also thought that his family

wouldn’t let him to go on such a long trip, for Penny that world was a

wealthily, he still kept the copper coins in emergencies.

After two more days of journeying, he found a place where it was icy and

cold, he knew that he couldn’t make it to Penny in time, and, so, made a

comfortable shelter to stay in until spring; where he came out happily, and

started off in 1982. When he at last reached Penny, he found a good job, and

paid it off with the copper coins.

He preferred the money to his whole family, and got $100 in return to the

kind people with which helped him when he was like, in trouble or something

like. That, it was good that nobody ever questioned him where he was that whole

time when he went back; but he was still glad that he got to help his family.

When he recovered, he felt a little bit sad, and lay down; the next morning when

his parents came into his recovering house to take him home to rest and play,

they found his two hands clasped on his white covered sheet bed, as if dead.

This place comes where his parents were shocked; they knew that this was

the boy’s last sleep, the cried bitterly all night long, while there was still a

smile on the hero’s face.

临渊羡鱼，不如退而结网。

听着“吱吱，吱吱”闹钟转动的声音，看着一旁奋笔疾书的妹妹，又看看手中的笔以及桌上寥寥几个字的作业本，无奈的摇了摇头，终于抵不住周公的诱惑，去梦里寻找一片安详。

脸庞的炽热让我不安的睁开眼，那一瞬间才发现眼前火光一篇，站起来想跑，可是脚下一滑，我趴在了地上。心里一惊，身上竟然不痛，想了想原来是在梦里。这时我才观察起周围的环境：这是一片干枯的草地，烈火正焚烧着小草那已然干枯的身躯。噼噼啪啪地隐约还能听到小草不愿就此结束与大火争斗的声音。好像是在宣告来年春天伙伴们一定会绿遍山野。火中我仿佛看到了一幅美丽的画，还是这片大草地，时间早已是春季，地上也不是草灰遍地，而是一片小草用油绿的身体拉开的绿毯。

正沉醉其中时，我被妹妹叫醒，她问我在干什么，我说我在奋斗。因为那时我明白了，因为小草有了梦想的支撑，奋力抗争，付诸行动，于是它实现了梦想。

看眼前的作业。脑海中浮现出一个问题。我为什么而写，难道仅仅是为了完成老师布置的任务么?想了很多终于得到，不是。写作业是为巩固知识，而巩固知识是为自己以后的路做基石，打基础。所以作业是为自己的未来之路而写。

再想想自己，探进心门寻找那久违的梦。当初那个梦还在么?在的话，我现在在干什么。现在的我是否还在那时的轨迹上?是每天按部就班的上课、回家、上课，做一个满脑子只有分数的木偶。还是应该在保证分数的前提下追梦。我想，学习固然重要，但不要放弃自己的梦，只因我们现在所做的一切都是在追梦的基础上起步的。

梦与行动始终成正比，仰望星空，更要脚踏实地。

Dear Sir or Madam,

I’m Li Hua from Class One, Senior Two. As far as I am concerned, I believe

to teach English for pupils from Chen Xi Hope School will be good for both the

primary-school students and high-school student tutor, which thus will result in

substantial social benefits.

I think I am qualified for being the pupils’ English coach, because I have

good character, being independent in life and proficient in English. That’s why

I apply for the position; I hope I can join the instructive activity.

My plan for coaching the pupils is to teach them by listening, speaking,

reading and writing. What’s more important is to stimulate their interests in

你们好!

虽然我们之前从来没有见过面说过话，但是我觉得我的这封信寄到你们手中的时候，我们便已经是朋友了。我的朋友们都说我是一个好相处，活泼开朗的女孩。如果我们成为朋友相信我们也会相处的很愉快。

我曾经和爸爸妈妈一起去过你们的家乡。虽然很贫困，但是却有我们这里看到的美景。你们那里的空气很好，我觉得一到你们那里心情就变得畅快了很多。虽然你们的生活很艰辛，但是你们却很乐观很积极的生活学习着。

你们因交不起书费，只好背着沉重的箩筐去卖菜。而作为同龄人的我呢?坐在宽敞明亮的教室里读书。在生活上养成了衣来伸手，饭来张口的坏习惯。更不要说自己去背筐买菜赚钱了。看到你们生活艰苦，我为自己的行为感到惭愧。

我的家乡很繁华也很喧嚣。如果你们能来到我的家乡，我会带你们到风光秀丽的荀子公园，带你们到一片金黄的黄花岭，红如火焰的红叶岭……去参观游玩。我会随时欢迎你们的到来。

刚开学不久，我们班就举行了和远方小朋友“手拉手”的活动，同学们都准备捐铅笔，橡皮，书本，铅笔刀……虽然这些物品对你们来说是杯水车薪，但这是我们的一点心意。

您好!

时间过的好快呀，不知不觉已经过去了4年，我很想念您。

记得刚上幼儿园的时候，我什么都不会就连简单的汉字都不会写，是您很耐心的教会了我，而我也快速的都会写了这些数字。

还记得我有一次高烧，可我的爸爸妈妈在外地工作，是您把一条冰毛巾放在我的头上，帮我退烧。

还有一次，我带了一支圆珠笔，我拿着里面的芯在玩，看见上面有洞，我就吸里面的墨水，吸了一下发现墨水上升了一点，我感到非常的好奇于是我又吸了一点点，可是一不留神把墨水吸到了嘴里。那时的我弄得满嘴都是墨水，束手无措的待在原地，是您发现了把我带到了洗手间里，您细心地对我说：“把水喝到嘴里再吐出来。”就这样在您的帮助下我的嘴里才没有了墨水的痕迹。

老师谢谢您，是您教会了我们知识，是您让我们了解艺术，是您教会我们说话。老师您辛苦了。

Dear Sarah,

I am terribly sorry to tell you that I am unable to attend your birthday

part next Thursday evening. That is owing to the fact that my younger brother

suddenly fell ill and was taken to a hospital this morning. I have to go there

immediately and take care of him. As told by the doctor in charge, it will take

around five days for him to recover and I have asked my boss for a leave.

I really regret that I cannot go to celebrate your birthday personally and

would miss the perfect chance of enjoying myself with all our old friends. I

have chosen a small gift for you and will send it to you tomorrow to show my

best wishes. Besides, please give my regards to our friends when you meet them

at the party.
