“新年好呀，新年好呀，祝贺大家新年好……”听，快过年了，大街小巷响起了这声音。当然，咱们班也不例外，举办了一场庆元旦的活动。

这次活动跟往年不一样，它融入了浓浓的年味：有美妙的歌曲;有热烈的舞蹈;有风味十足的古诗词朗诵;激动人心的击鼓传花和古色古香的现场写对联……

我最喜欢击鼓传花了。游戏开始了：嘭——嘭——朱老师重重地敲响了鼓，那声音响亮而持久。同学们是多么激动啊，手上拿着灯笼，一个劲地传!传完后，用力拍着手，激动地望着正在传的同学。嘭!随着鼓声地停止，朱老师同时转过身，望着手握着灯笼而不知所措的张煊晟，那情景不禁让全班同学哈哈大笑起来……

除了击鼓传花，我还喜欢古色古香的现场写对联。我一笔一画在火红火红的纸上认真地写了起来，一会儿轻笔细描，一会儿笔酣墨饱;于此同时，陈妤晨和吴涵也在全神贯注地书写。而其他同学围在我这里，对我的字频频点头，有说有笑。看着自己漂亮的对联，我心里美滋滋的，嘴里像吃了蜜一样甜。

“新年好呀!新年好呀!祝贺大家新年好……”耳边又响起了这美妙的歌声。活动已经进入了尾声，但是，我们今天收获到了一箩筐的快乐。

First of all,I need to greatly improve my English in this semaster,for I’m already in Junior 2 now,and there’s no time to waste.

I’m really not good at English,and I think there’s a long road ahead of me.I am thinking about taking a TOEFL course on weekends to prepare for entering college.Besides,I need to learn something from my life,for example,I can read some kind of English books,watch some Enghlish movies etc.

On another hand,I wanna improve my spoken English,cuz its a kind of language which is used to communicate with others,but not just a subject that can prove I am a good student.My plan for the future is to study abroad,so the skill of spoken Enlish is really important to me.

Today is Chinese New Year, was the day of family reunion, I waipojia New Years day this year.

After lunch, I found the red lanterns are hung from house to house, stick couplets on the Spring Festival, I also cant wait to stick couplets on the Spring Festival, and he said to mother: "mom, I want to stick couplets on the Spring Festival." 今天是农历的大年三十，是阖家团圆的日子，今年我在外婆家过年。

吃完午饭后，我发现挨家挨户都挂着红灯笼，贴着春联，我也迫不及待地想贴春联，于是对妈妈说：“妈妈，我想贴春联。”妈妈答应了。我就去请姨父帮忙，把梯子和春联拿了过来。姨父先把贴在春联上的双面胶给撕下来，然后再把春联小心翼翼地贴在墙上，左看看、右看看，对齐了没有，这样春联就贴好了。

我们吃晚饭的时候，外面就有“啪啪啪”的鞭炮声了。我已经按捺不住，情不自禁地跑到外面观赏美丽的烟花，有的像菊花，有的像桃花，还有的像小雨点儿，真美!看着看着，我也蠢蠢欲动了，想自己亲手放鞭炮。外公让我去点大的鞭炮，开始我有点儿不敢，先旁观看了一会，发现有大人在，并不是很危险，最后我提心吊胆、小心翼翼地把鞭炮的引线给点燃了，马上我飞似的往回跑，“噼噼啪啪，噼噼啪啪……”好过瘾哦!

晚上，我们全家人围坐在一起，一边吃零食，一边看春节联欢晚会。晚会真精彩!有相声，有小品，有舞蹈，还有魔术……

新年真是热闹，到处张灯结彩，家家户户都洋溢着过年的喜气。祝大家新年快乐!

下午，老师宣布第二天开展“小种子迎新年”的活动(美食节)，同学们听了，肚子里的“晚餐铃”已经提前发出咕噜咕噜的叫声，都快成交响乐了。

第二天下午，教室像要参加化妆舞会似的。火红的灯笼在窗边随风摆动，各个摇头晃脑，像是给教室穿上一件漂亮的连衣裙;彩带到处都是，你一圈我一圈地环绕着，像是给教室系围巾;贴纸东一个西一个的，在窗户上摆着笑脸，像是给教室化上了一层妆。教室有了它们的装扮，就像一条彩虹鱼。

教室不仅美丽而且热闹。同学们多才多艺，有表演诗朗诵的，有唱歌的，有吹奏各种各样乐器的和其他的才艺表演。表演完以后，同学们还拍手叫好呢。

“小种子迎新年”既有美丽的教室、热闹的场面，还有让人见了直流口水的美食。不用说黄金小姐薯条，也不用说那些肥胖肥胖的鸡翅鸡腿，更不用说那香喷喷的甜甜圈……单是那金黄金黄的花姑娘，就让我情不自禁地想拿一个。同学们吃了个大饱口福，连骨头都不剩，最后还打包了一些带走。

chinese new year, pronounced in chinese as "xin nian", always falls on the date of marking the beginning of the spring and thus it is also called the "spring festival". "xin" means "new" and "nian" means "year". there are many stories told about the origin of "nian", which actually is a name of animals.   the old story says that the beast "nian" with a very big mouth was so fierce and could swallow many people in one single bite. people were very scared. an old man offered to subdue "nian" and said to "nian": "i hear that you are very capable, but can you swallow the other beasts instead of people who are by no means of your worthy opponents?" so "nian" swallowed many of the other beasts that hurt people and their domestic animals. the old man turned out to be an immortal god and riding the beast "nian" flied to the heaven. now that "nian" is gone and other beasts were also scared into forests, people began to enjoy their peaceful life. before the old man left, he had told people to put up red paper decorations on their windows and doors at each years end to scare away "nian" in case it sneaked back again, because red is the color the beast feared the most.   from there on, the term "guo nian" has the meaning of "pass-over" or "survive" the "nian". by tradition, chinese businesses had to pay off all debts by the year-end and thus if they could get it over, it is worth for the celebration of the new year.   today people still put up red paper and firing firecrackers as way of celebration. "guo nian" becomes a tradition of celebration for thousand of years.
