In China, Mid-autumn Day is considered to be a symbol of family reunion. On

this day, all the family members gather together at home to celebrate this

special occasion. Last year, I could not celebrate the festival with my family

because I was in university. However, this special day left a deep impression on

me.

not go back home assembled in our classroom, having a party to celebrate this

want to do well and make their parents be proud of them. When they are in middle

school and high school, they need to take part in the exams so as to enter the

better future schools. Even they are in college, they still need to study and

Today, the young generation likes to stay up, because after a day’s working, they will find fun at night, so they are getting home very late and then wake up late, too. As they are wake up so late, they will ignore their breakfast and wait for the lunch, today people will call the meal brunch, it means to eat things between breakfast and lunch time. The fact is that not eating breakfast is bad for our health, our body hasn’t take in things all the night, we need to take in some nutrition in the morning time, so the body can have the energy to work. Last night, I went to my friend’s birthday party, I made some friends. We

talked happily, one of my new friends showed us the pictures of the places he

had been visited. We were so envious, all of us had the dream to go travel to

many places, but none of us took the action. He told us that we were so young

and had the energy to see the world. He told us to carry out the plan once we

had the idea. What he told us is right, we are young and it is good to be young.

In the old people’s eyes, we are so free and can go where we want. But most of

the young people haven’t realized the right they have, they waste their youth

and dare not to do what they want.

According to the variety of social background, personal experience and

that there are big differences between us and the old generation. We always

Like any other English learner, I met a lot of difficulties in learning

English. First, I found it difficult to understand what I read because most

English words have more than one meaning. Besides, I found it difficult to write

in idiomatic English or put Chinese into idiomatic English. Finally, I couldnt

express in English orally because I had no opportunity to communicate with

native English speakers. Although I often read aloud, this didnt prove to be an
