One day on his way to school，he saw a little girl crossing the road. A car was coming towards her quickly and the girl was too frightened to move. The car nearly hit her. Just then LiuKai rushed up to her and caught her by the arm. The little girl was saved. She told him where she lived，and he took her home. When LiuKai hurried into the classroom，the teacher had already begun his lesson. He told the teacher why he was late. He was then praised for what he had done.

The traffic problem is one of the most serious problems in my hometown.

Recently, more and more people have private car, but the roads are so narrow

that we have to fight against the heavy traffic when we go out. Especially

during the rush hours, cars and buses are unable to move. To make things worse,

many people are killed in the traffic accidents. How miserable it is!

For the sake of our life and security, some measures must be taken to

change the present situation. In the first place, as there are a great many

cars, we should control the number of private cars and vehicles and use the

public transportation more often. Secondly, the government should widen the

roads and build more flyovers, so as to ease the traffic pressure and reduce the

traffic accidents. In addition, the undergrounds and light rails should be

constructed, so that we can have more choices when going out and do not have to

worry about the traffic jams in the future.

I believe the traffic problem could be solved if we devote our actions to

them.

The first day is for the welcoming of the deities of the heavens and earth, officially beginning at midnight. Many people, especially Buddhists, abstain from meat consumption on the first day because it is believed that this will ensure longevity for them. 纵观近几年的中考，与课本直接相关的内容占了很大比例，在阅读和完型两项中更是多次出现课本原文。所以，把握好课本对大多数中等程度的同学至关重要。到了中考复习的冲刺阶段，不少老师会要求同学把课本中的重点课文背诵下来，我们何不现在就动手?但是机械的背诵效果不好，课文模仿背诵法一定要在模仿课文录音的前提下进行，才能发挥最大功效。

2 基础稍差的同学 单词识记朗读法

对于英语基础薄弱的同学，困难集中体现在单词量不够，单选中的句子看不懂，更别提完型、阅读乃至综合填空了。所以，针对这种情况，我们要做的是温故而不是知新。

这样识记单词可以按照模块进行，然后为了巩固单词，再把前面这个模块的课文大声朗读3到5遍，在这个过过程中加深对单词的理解记忆，可以每天进行一到两个模块的内容。

英语水平较高的同学，记忆新单词对于他们来说不费吹灰之力。他们可以选取一些难度较高、生词量较多的报纸杂志上的文章，进行大声、快速的朗读。

比方说，可以订一份China Daily，将上面头版头条的文章或是自己感兴趣的报道反复朗读，一定要达到快速不停顿的朗读，这样才有练习的效果;生词可以积累在单词本上。

这样一来，不仅积累了大量生词，快速的朗读也使你潜移默化形成了快速的英语思维和良好的语感，你会发现中考的阅读对你来说简直是小儿科。而且，你还了解了许多新闻、时事、奇闻轶事，这才是我们学习一门语言的真正目的。

以上三种方法，同学们可以根据自身情况，选择适合自己的方法。一旦选择了一种方法，务必坚持每天不打折扣地执行。

为了坚定大家的学习信念，我想给大家讲一个关于英语学习的真实故事。我的外公今年94岁了，他上中学学习英语时曾很吃力，有一年的期末考试没有及格。他下定决心改变这种情况。于是他在暑假订了一份英文报纸，每天早晨4点钟起床，开始疯狂朗读报纸上的文章，坚持了一个暑假。开学后，他一跃成为班里英语成绩第一名。他把这段经历称为“一个暑假的胜利”。这个故事很普通，绝对比不上那些天花乱坠的励志口号。但从中可以看出，英语是可以突击的，这就需要我们利用短时间，有一定强度地打磨英语。愿大家都能取得“一个暑假的胜利”。最后，送上英语学习的八字箴言：模仿至上，背诵为王。

今天一大早，我就风风火火的赶到少年宫。这是为什么呢？因为我今天要参加英语剧表演。

刚进会场，哈，我们已经迟了里面早已热闹非凡。第一个上场的表演的节目是狮子觅食。一个同学头戴狮子面具威风凛凛的出场了。只见他伸伸懒腰说道：“I  am   hungry，What’s  for  dinner 。”说完就出去觅食了。这时一只小兔子拿着一个红萝卜蹦蹦跳跳的走了过来，狮子一见就上前去威严地说：“把食物给我吃吧。”小兔子一看是狮子，连忙把手中的红萝卜送给了狮子，狮子吃了一口觉得不好吃，发了狮威恶狠狠的把红萝卜砸向小兔子还大声的骂着，小兔子吓得飞快的逃跑了。他们精彩的表演赢得了一片掌声。狮子表演者熟练的英语对话、惟妙惟肖的动作，仿佛把我们带进了一个动物园。

接下来的节目是皇帝的新装、狼来了和拔萝卜，各班的表演都很精彩，让我觉得心里不踏实起来，怕自己表演不好。

终于轮到我们上场了，我的心怦怦直跳怕我们班会输给其他的班级。当音乐一响起来，我们每个人都很快进了状态。我那颗怦怦直跳的心也平静了下来。大家各自表演者自己的角色，十分认真。突然电脑出问题了，把我们出场的顺序都打乱了，弄得我们几个团团转转都不知道怎么去表演了。这是老师在后面打着手势让我们跟着幻灯片来表演，我们手忙脚乱的的样子把评委都逗笑了。最后我们的成绩只有76.365分。

虽然这次我们没有取得好的成绩，但是我们却收获了快乐。

English is one of the most important subjects in middle school. Almost everyone knows that we should learn English well, but few of us know how to learn it well. Karl Marx has set a good example for us. He once said, "When one is learning a foreign language, he must use the foreign language." In this way, he could use several languages. A saying goes, "Practice makes perfect." When we learn English, we should read more, speak more, listen to English from time to time and practise writing every day. Dont be afraid of making mistakes. Only in this way can we learn it well.

The new semester is coming and I want to make a plan for it.

Firstly, I will work as hard as before. I really did a good job last term, so I want to keep good as well. During the summer holiday, I did some previews and I found that the courses are not very hard. Secondly, I will spend more time in reading.Readingis really good to a person, because we can learn a lot from books and broaden one’s horizon. Besides, reading can help us think more and deeply.

Finally, I will take part in exercises actively and regularly. No matter how busy I am, I will set sometime aside to build my body which is the basic of any other things. Moreover, after doing exercise, I feel so fresh and relaxed that I can put my whole heart in doing something, such as study, reading, thinking and so on. So this is the plan for the new semester and I am sure I can carry it out step by step.
