The sun was shining really brightly. We could hear the birds singing outside the window. It was a fine day！

I went to the City Wildlife Park with my classmates by bus. We arrived there at 8:00. When I got out of the bus, some of us had rushed into the gate of the park. First, we visited the golden monkeys. They were lovely and cute. They jumped from this tree to another tree which was about two meters away. That was amazing, wasn’t it? And then we watched an animal show. They danced like humans. They could do everything we asked them to do. After that we visited safari park. All kinds of animals could be seen there, such as tigers, lions, deer and goats. 关于发音和模仿

她在书中着重强调了是语调问题。这个问题是绝大多数中国英语学习者忽略了的问题。因为汉语是声调语言，单个字的声调以固定频率的形式出现，所以句子的语调基本是平的。很多外语学习者可能不知道，英语语调有传递情绪的功能，语调变化甚至能传递说话人的潜台词，比如：反语、讽刺、犹豫、建议等等。错误的语调会让听话人疑惑。考拉小巫的纠正方法是录音，和原文对比。不过几年之后的今天有简单的解决办法，下个配音软件，一切就OK了。

考拉小巫有字幕组的经历，我认为这可能是她英语突飞猛进的一个关键因素。她在做电影字幕，很多时候有听译，听译实际上我们平时的听写是差不多的，而且字幕是要见人的，所以从头到尾容不得一点马虎，可以说，考拉小巫在强迫自己一次一次做高强度听写+理解输出。而且在听译这么多电影的过程中，她一定大量有反复听同一电影的经历。所以，她被她嚼烂了的电影的量，甚至高过一部分人泛读的量。精听精读是提高技能的一个关键步骤，如果她精听的量超过了普通人精读的量，那么我们有理由相信，她至少在接收信息这一方面，有了很大的提高。

关于词汇量的论述

在这本书中，考拉小巫研究来研究去，最后发现影响阅读速度的第一大天敌还是词汇量的问题。她引用了一句话说：“GRE的单词是有用的，在美国读研究生的时候自然就知道了”。

第一，适当接触一些方言和非标准口音。
