When we got there we were very excited that we began toclimbimmediately.The steps sometimes were very flat,but sometimes very steep.After two hours of climbing,we got to the top at last.I enjoyed the beauty of the mountains andtook a lot of photos.I felt really proud and thought of the famous saying:He who has never been to the Great Wall is not a true man.

I spent this summer vacation in quite a different way. I used to run about every day in previous summer vacations, but this summer vacation I simply could not afford to do so. Though those examinations were still a year away, I had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things I had learned at school and this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this.

All of us felt so happy and liked a free bird, rushing to home quickly. I had been looking forward to this holiday for such a long time, I really needed to take some rest after studying for a semester. I have made some plans for my summer vacation. First, I wanted to spend some time to stay with my grandparents. I miss them all the time and they always tell me to visit them when I have the time. My grandma will cook the delicious food for me.
