There are numerous causes for this problem. On one hand, human-related emissions of carbon into the atmosphere is causing, and will in the future cause, significant global warming according to the theory. On the other hand, the lack of knowledge about the importance of protecting environment hinders the solving of the problem.
It is urgent that immediate and effective actions should be taken right away. First, more trees need to be planted to help improve and beautify the environment. Besides, stricter laws concerning global warming and irresponsible use of fuel resources have to be put into effect and achieved good results. In a word, there is a long way to go before we can take a comfortable world for granted again .
Many people are active in fighting against unfair treatment to colored people, women , animals and so on. Right now I am talking about fighting for respect to our environment.Though the environment doesnt have a mouth done to deprecate what humans have done to her, she retaliates through action. In the early years the Chinese cut down large quantities of trees, at the source of the yellow river, which led to the disappearance of big forests and terrible floods. As a result, the Huangtu plateau which once was once covered with grass and forests was turned into barrens that supported fewer plants. Another example was in several developed countries.
Because many chemical factories discharged poisonous gas without filtering it, poisonous cities were covered with so much poisonous gas that people were killed by the air they breathed in. What horrible scene!What we are suffering is only a small part of what the nature once suffered. If we dont take action to show respect to the environment, we will have to face an increasingly awful situation. Measures should be taken to protect the environment on which we are relying. First governments should forbid destroying vegetation, rivers and lakes, oceans, as and the atmosphere as well. Second voices should be made to announce the public of the importance of protecting the environment. Third enterprises should pay special attention to the effect they have on the environment and work out solutions for the problems. Only by changing the way we treat the environment can along we get along well with it.
Only by saving the environment can we save ourselves.

Earth Hour started in Australia with millions of homes and businesses turning their lights off for one hour. Now it has grown to become one of the world’s biggest climate change initiatives. People are all joining together in a global effort to show that it’s possible to take action on global warming.
Earth Hour has brought about some new changes to our lives. 爸爸猛然起身：“文文长大了！懂得欣赏美丽的景色了。”说着，爸爸伸手把我搂了过去，亲切地说道：“你还能发现这么蓝的天、这么明亮的日光，是因为我们的环境还没有被完全破坏。你知道吗？再过几天就是第41个世界环境日了。”
我呆呆地望着爸爸，懵懂地问道：“世界环境日是什么？”
爸爸笑了，摸了摸我的头，若有所思地答道：“环境日就是提醒人们要爱护环境。今天，爸爸就带你出去走走，看看咱们绥中的环境。”
我一听，高兴得从床上蹦起来，拍着手说：“太好了！”
肖家天桥 我们站在肖家天桥上，极目远望，笔直的公路无限地向前方伸展，一眼望不到边。宽阔的马路上奔驰着各种各样的车辆，熙攘着衣着艳丽的人们。道路的两旁有很多树，它们青绿青绿的，整整齐齐地排列着。正在我被这干净整洁的环境深深吸引的时候，爸爸用手一指，转移了我的视线，我发现天桥附近有两位环卫奶奶，她们身穿橙黄色的工作服，正在烈日下埋头清洁着卫生。我忽然明白了，原来是这些“橙衣天使”创造了美丽。
六股河畔 沿着六股河长堤，沐浴着河畔清风，伴随着鸟语花香，不知不觉间，我们来到了河畔广场。工人们正忙着种花、浇水，游人们有的在静静地钓鱼，有的在快乐地放风筝：大大的鲤鱼、长长的福娃……远处是郁郁葱葱的树林，近处蜂飞蝶舞，盛开着各色各样的鲜花：三瓣的，五瓣的，粉色的，紫色的……这时，我感觉脚下好像是踩到了什么东西，低头一看，原来是一个垃圾袋，再向四周看看，还有一些，我弯腰把它们捡起来，正要送进垃圾箱的时候，眼前的一幕让我惊呆了：非常可爱的一对熊猫垃圾箱有一只已经被毁坏了，破烂不堪，惨不忍睹。不远处还有几个草坪灯的灯罩断裂在地，像一具具死尸躺在地上，我把它们一个个拾起来扶正了，不禁暗自纳闷：“是谁干的呢？太不文明了！”我快乐的心情一下子变沉重了。
公园新村 最后一站，我们来到了公园新村。这里垂柳成荫，亭廊相接。男女老少休闲健身的人们有的在快步走，有的打太极，有的在踢毽球…大家呼吸着清新的空气，享受着优美的环境，脸上挂着舒心的笑容。这时，县一高中的大哥哥们走到了我们面前，向我们发放了“绿色消费”宣传单，爸爸还热情认真地填写了他们的调查问卷，我们还在一起合影留念呢！
望着哥哥、姐姐们奔走忙碌的身影，我仿佛看到六股河畔的广场变得干净整洁了，垃圾箱和草坪灯焕然一新了，绥中的大街小巷变得更美了……
