a lot of people shared their views to what love really is, or at least what love is in their eyes. perhaps love is just an illusion. a strong illusion, especially for those who are searching for a purpose of life. is love an answer? love can be wonderful, special, complicated, a distress, a gift, a curse, a tragedy, and most of all, an eperience. love is a mysterious and a complicated force. what do a person mean when they say they love someone? love is many different things. each of us have our own understanding of love is, and most of the time we base our definitions from feelings and eperiences. the book defines love in many ways. duststorms are becoming a great concern for both the public and the government in recent years. every spring overwhelming sands and dust sweep the northern part of china, blocking out the sky, enshrouding cities and villages, bring much inconvenience and problems to peoples lives and work. in some regions, sandstorms have caused great loss in both peoples lives and properties.

duststorms are largely created by man himself. on the one hand, too much air pollution causes a greenhouse effect, which, in turn, leads to global wanning in climate. this results in wet places on the earth even wetter and dry places even drier. on the other hand, over grazing, poor fanning, tree cutting, strip mining all leave theland unprotected. when the wind blows, it blows away topsoil and loose soil.

Earth Hour started in Australia with millions of homes and businesses turning their lights off for one hour. Now it has grown to become one of the world’s biggest climate change initiatives. Earth Hour has brought about some new changes to our lives. From June1, 2008, shops and supermarkets are forbidden from offering free plastic bags to customers, according to a new law. A nation-wide campaign against plastic bags has been launched.

Nowadays, Chinese people use up to three billion plastic bags a day. While being very convenient to shoppers, plastic bags also cause serious white pollution” and waste resources.

Though the ban may cause some inconvenience to shoppers, it can help reduce the use of plastic bags when people have to pay for them. Besides, the ban, in away, can promote public awareness of environmental protection.

So I think it necessary to forbid shops and supermarkets from offering free plastic bags. When shopping, we can use cloth bags or baskets instead of plastic bags as we used to.
