To begin with, modern lifestyle has contributed greatly to the increasing amount of waste and garbage we produce everyday. 环保，这是我一直以来关注的问题。曾几何时，我们淮安的里运河清澈得如同一面镜子，而现在呢？这条承载着历史的河流污浊不堪，每天都有专门的工人在打捞垃圾。

这因为什么？环境的变迁固然是一部分，但其它原因呢？还不是我们人类自己造成的。人们为了寻求方便，把脏水倒入河流，以为河流能自己清洁过来。的确，如果只是一两个人、一次两次这样做，河流确实能清洁过来，那如果千千万万个人、千千万万次地这样做呢？别说是一条河流，就算是十条、百条、千条，甚至一片大海，都不可能恢复过来。要知道，现在我们能看到、喝到的水大约不到全球总淡水的百分之五，其余百分之九十几都在南、北极的永冻冰层里。

而现在，全中国的淡水中，完全不被污染的只有百分之三左右！所以我们应该行动起来，保护这为数不多的净水。希望这世界上最后一滴水不是人类的眼泪。

说完水，我们再来说说植物，尤其是树。树的作用相信大家都不陌生，比如制造氧气、防噪音、保护水土等等。但这些几乎已经成为常识的知识，还不足以影响到那些以伐木为生的人。他们可不管什么森林变沙漠，他们只关心钱。
