现在，有些动物已经快要灭绝了，就拿鳄鱼来说吧，它虽然很凶猛，但人类更凶猛。而在人类的眼中，鳄鱼皮可以制成行李箱，手提包，钱包，鞋等物品。就是因为有些动物身上的器官具有突出的经济价值，由此成为被人类掠夺利用的对象，成为动物灭绝的主要因素。所以鳄鱼，现在已经成为快要灭绝的动物了。

Today, my parents were not at home, they had something to deal with, so

they left me alone. I was so happy because I could be in charge in my own house,

it made me feel like I was a grow-up. I wanted to give my parents a surprise, so

I planned to clean the house. It was not easy to do the house chores, first, I

swept the floor and took notice of every corner. And then I rearranged the

messed things. I just wanted to make sure the room would be very clean at first

sign. When my parents went home, they couldnt believe what I had done, they

were so happy that I could take care of myself.

There are still many problems of enviromental protection in recent years. One of the most serious problems is the serious pollution of air,water and soil. The polluted air does great harm to peoples health. The polluted water causes diseases and death. Whats more, vegetation has been greatly reduced with the rapid growth of modern cities.

To protect the environment,governments of many countries have done a lot. Legislative steps have been introduced to control air pollution, to protect the forest and sea resources and to stop any environmental pollution. Therefore, government are playing the most important role in the environmental protection today.

In my opinion , to protect environment, the goernment must take even more concrete measures. First, it should let people fully realize the importance of environmental protection through education.Second, much more efforts should be made to put the population planning policy into practice, because more people mean more pollution.Finally, those who destroy the environment intentionalli should be severely punished. Many children cant go to school as usual .Now the foods have drawn the attention of the whole world. People from abroad have offered their help too. In China, millions of soldiers are busy fighting against the floods. They are working very hard. Many of them have lost their lives in their attempt to save the villagers.

Though we cant help them to fight against floods, we should help them to rebuild their homeland. We can present them our pocketmoney and clothes. I believe most of the people will return to their homeland in the near future.
