This is a book written by life. There is a kind of ordinary sound flood in the earth and universe.

The book’s time span lasts from the 1975 to 1985, the turbulent years in Chinese history. The story happened in a small village called Shuangshui village. Almost the whole book is describe the life and people in Shuangshui village. During that ten years, the Cultural Revolution has came to an end, Deng Xiaoping came into power,a new mode of production-- household contract responsibility system with remuneration linked to output has came out. All of these changes lead to the happen of the story. Shungshui village and it’s people is just like a miniature picture of the whole China and it’s people. The book included every aspect of the society that time. Lu Yao wanted to use a kind of realism style of writing to draw the outline of a great social picture scroll. In the scroll, everyone in different stratum is lifelike in both characters and features. This is an important point, because of Lu Yao ‘s consummate novel skill and the deadly serious writing attitude, this novel turned into one of the best teacher aids of that period history.

The pedagogical meaning I get from this book is a kind of profound understanding to the peasant in our own country. The younger generation in the modern city is very hard to figure out the meaning of this point, because they are far away from the real country life. Peasants’ life, peasants’ thought ,the days peasant’s had and now and the future, all of these are quite unfamiliar to most of us. Then this book can be regarded as a bridge, we can indirectly gain a better understanding of the real country from this book And that’s the function of books. The book perfectly draw a picture of that time, it reflects the pleasure, the anger, the sorrow, and the passions of the peasants. After finished the book, we can say we experienced that period in one sense. We had ever worked in a filed, the sweat poured like rains from our face and we had ever loved someone ,lost someone. All of these cane from the book. The practical significance of the book sets on the current situation and historic continuity of China; sets on the hope of the future and the development of our young generation; sets on the understanding of China and the people.

On the other hand, I do really like Lu Yao’s starting point---ordinary world. Their world is ordinary, this is just one of the tens of thousands of villages in loess plateau. But Lu Yao have seen the character out of the common in the protagonists. Take Sun shaoping as an example, he had a secondary education and through a self-study came to a undergraduate level. The author put many excellent qualities to this leading role. All the roles in Lu Yao’s novel are ordinary people, but all the marvelous characters in their body made them different.

Life is an outward journey and there is not much time for us to squander, to grieve or to feel depressed. It will be spineless to give up our hope. Just like the famous sentence “Though the torches is drooping, the fire is burning up”。 Even the most ordinary people should fight for his life.

艾滋病患者一直都在保护着我们，不让我们受到感染。我们却连句话都不和他们说，连一句温暖的话也不和他们说一句。艾滋病患者需要的是我们更多的关爱和支持，他们也想和正常人一样，做着正常人能做的事。

初次看见他，只觉得他是一位精神矍铄的老人，顶多也就六十来岁的模样，慈眉善目，神采飞扬。可他却自我介绍道自十八岁那年飞来横祸，已有五十八个春秋。

所有人都震惊了——遭遇如此劫难，依然乐观生活的人并不多，况是如此长寿。

周遭的人议论纷纷，说他是运气，可他却说“每个人的存在都有他应有的价值”

每个人都应该有他的价值，记得上次我主办的班会课叫做“你本来就应该不平凡”在那一大页主持稿里面，这句话此起彼伏不厌其烦。

如今听见这句话，只道是巧了，又觉得心中叹服，双目紧紧跟随台上的他。

这些语句没有华丽的辞藻，确实字字珠玑。感觉有些似同坎菲尔和汉森编撰的心灵鸡汤，简短，精炼，有力，富有哲理。我听着他那具有传奇色彩的人生旅途，感慨万千。我突然有些羞愧——我们总是觉得自己在这个世界上扮演者一个不幸运的角色，而很轻易的放弃某些自己认为做不到的事情，可他却活了下来，世界巡回演讲。

最后，我看着他用那只机械手在白纸上写下“永不放弃”

永不放弃，永不放弃，永不放弃……

演讲结束，回教室的时候我碰见了他的翻译——双手合十，虔诚的对我说“Thanks”，我木讷的回应着他，心中感激之情溢于言表。

往前走些，我看见了他，做出了一个我从前绝不会有的举动——我把我的笔记本递给他，请他签名，看着从他“手”下流出来的漂亮的花体字，佩服至极。

他的妻子也帮我签了名——一位笑容温暖的妇人，写在他名字的下方，看上去很是和谐，从那本子上优雅的英文字母中，我看见了幸福的踪影。

那两个签名安静的躺在我的笔记本上，在我遇到三元一次无从下手想要放弃的时候，在我写作文没有一丝灵感的时候，当我追求梦想遇到障碍时，当我负荷太重想要丢掉的时候。

它们给了我力量。

As is well known by now throughout the world Harvey Ball, a commercial artist from Worcester, Massachusetts created the smiley face in 1963. That image went on to become the most recognizable symbol of good will and good cheer on the planet.

As the years passed Harvey Ball became concerned about the over-commercialization of his symbol, and how its original meaning and intent had become lost in the constant repetition of the marketplace. Out of that concern came his idea for World Smile Day. He thought that we, all of us, should devote one day each year to smiles and kind acts throughout that world. The smiley face knows no politics, no geography and no religion. Harvey’s idea was that for at least one day each year, neither should we. He declared that the first Friday in October each year would henceforth be World Smile Day.

The very first World Smile Day took place in Worcester, MA on October 1, 1999. What a celebration it was! State and local dignitaries gathered and read proclamations in support of the day. Another proclamation recognizing the day was read on the floor of the United States Congress and is now part of the Congressional Record, the reporter of the official proceedings of the US Congress. Thousands of Worcester school children created World Smile Day® cards that were then delivered to area hospitals and nursing homes. The event became national and even international news.

The US Postal service came to Worcester that day to unveil its new Smiley Face stamp design. And, the Postal Service issued a special cancellation just for that event. Each year since then the USPS has issued a different cancellation commemorating the day.

In his inaugural address on that very first World Smile Day Harvey Ball laid the groundwork for that World Smile Day saying that the smiley face “…just reflects what is inside every one of us – a smile is what we want to see when we look at another human being.” He said, “Sometimes we forget that. Sometimes the world seems big and filled with problems that are too hard to understand much less solve. We start to believe that we are too small to make a difference. But that’s not true. The truth is that every one of us has the ability to make a difference every day.”

Harveys hometown of Worcester, MA has been and continues to be the epicenter for World Smile Day.

The world meteorological day is a day, the world meteorological organization on March 23, time of the year. Of "the world meteorological day" every year to determine a theme, requires each member celebrations on this day, and the extensive publicity of the important role of meteorological work.

Former World Meteorological Organization that unofficial international Meteorological agency cooperation, in its member countries on behalf of the World Meteorological Organization treaty signed a year, from the date of March 23, 1951, was reorganized as the World Meteorological Organization (World Meteorological Organization, WMO), become the international climate cooperation between government agencies, and establish the relations with the United Nations.

In 1960, the world meteorological organization executive committee decided to take a year on March 23, as world day, requires each member celebrations on this day each year, and the extensive publicity of the important role of meteorological work.

World meteorological day every year have a central content, each member in this day according to the center of the content, carry out various forms of propaganda and commemorative activities, organize the masses to visit our meteorological offices and stations, to hold a government leaders to attend the celebration of the masses, organize meteorological instrument and equipment, pictures, charts, and data display, held a press conference, by the newspapers, radio stations and television stations reported feature articles and speeches, meteorological science films, commemorative stamps and so on
