Sichuan is located in the Upper Yangtze Valley in the southwestern part of the country. The second largest of the Chinese provinces, it covers an area of 220,100 square miles (570,000 square kilometres). Szechwan is bordered by the provinces of Kansu and Shensi to the north, Hupeh and Hunan to the east, and Kweichow and Yunnan to the south and by the Tibet Autonomous Region to the west and the province of Tsinghai to the northwest. It is the most populous province in China. The name Szechwan means “Four Streams” and refers to the four main tributaries of the Yangtze River, which flows through the province. The capital, Cheng-tu, is located in the centre of the province.

From economic, political, geographical, and historical points of view, the heart and nerve centre of Szechwan is in the eastern basin area, commonly known as the Sichuan, or Red, Basin. Its mild and humid climate, fertile soil, and abundant mineral and forestry resources make it one of the most prosperous and economically self-sufficient regions of China. The area has been seen by some as China in a microcosm and is often viewed as a country within a country. The Chinese call the basin Tien Fu Chih Kuo, which literally means “Heaven on Earth”.

New Year Party

On New Year#39;s Eve，our class had a party. The atmosphere was good. It was out of the ordinary from the very begining. The boy student from one bedroom gave an unusual performance. We saw a boy named Li Xinmin turn off all the lights in a sudden snap. Then with three resounding(响亮的) crow of a cock echoing in the hall，the hall was again brightly lit in a snap.

Then，the representative of the bedroom Zhu Guozhang asked us to guess a line of a poem related to the above situation. He added that Li Xinmin alone was born in the year of the dog and the other three were all born in the year of the chicken. They left us all in confusion. And it was our monitor who was quickwitted(机智的). He shouted our， "The day breaks as the cock crows three times at dawn." The hall After that，they had another item. This time Li Xinmin was placed in the middle of the circle. While he was standing there，the other three stood around him，each bowing down to him at an angle of 120 degrees. It was an idiom. This time I got it right："The dog stands out among a group of chickens."

我叫王昱雄，是妈妈和爸爸给我起的，我猜是妈妈叫我像英雄一样的给力，昱一定是让我幸福。

我的身体大约高1·35米，在学校里我坐在中间，因为还有比我高的，我的体重是40公斤。我十分瘦，因为我不想吃饭，别人都叫我竹竿子，我的皮肤有一点点黑，也有一点点白，老师说是美国的健康肤色，但我想了想，我也不是美国人啊，我又不会说英语，只会说中文，我怎么可能有美国人的肤色呢?

我的瓜子脸，下巴尖尖的，别人都说我像小恶魔，可我自己不觉的，我的眉毛十分特别，远看没什么，可我的眉毛是可以和我的表情相容，我一笑，它就像月亮一样弯，我一生气就往上翘我还有很多表情都没说呢!所以我的眉毛变化很多。

我的眼睛像一个活人一样，有重要事或一定要看什么东西的时候眼睛睁的很大，我不愿意看东西或不想看的时候眼睛就十分小，真是千变万化呀!

我的鼻子像一座大山山顶上有一点点的平，不是太尖，也不是太平，我的山下还有两个小山洞，可能一个是进，一个是出，可里头会不会有狼呢?

我的耳朵这么大，别人说耳朵大有福气，可我不这么觉的。

我的头发像一个个的小火箭，直往上飞，可怎么也飞不上天，还像一个小刺猬，别人都叫我小刺猬，难到我就这么像小刺猬吗?我真纳闷。

我的爱好是打游戏，因为我是游戏迷。

我也爱学习，每次上快乐大作文课，我就高兴得像狐狸一样。我长大想成为科学家，因为我在学科学时十分专心。

我叫王彤旭，是个小姑娘，今年9岁。在深圳市育才二小上四年级，家住翠薇园小区。

我长着小小的眼睛，小小的鼻子、小小的嘴巴和大大的耳朵。我的眼睛旁边还有两颗一大一小的痣。我很沉着，我觉得如果事情特别简单，你不沉着去做，也有可能出错;如果事情特别困难，你沉着应对，有可能做对了。沉着是我的特点。

清晨，我早早地来到学校，一天就开始忙碌起来了。作为语文学习委员的我就要带着同学们早读。上课时，一丝不苟地听课，眼睛时刻看着老师的一举一动，耳朵时刻听老师说的话，我坐姿端正，积极回答老师提的问题，然后把重点都记在书上，复习起来就很方便了。我不是没有开过小差，偶尔会说小话。我还有提前预习的习惯。这样在家学一遍，上课老师又讲一遍，所以我的学习成绩都在90分以上。另外，老师布置给我的任务，我特别珍惜，每次都很努力地完成，我觉得帮老师做事情时的感觉太快乐了!

下课后，因为我平时学习好，又乐于助人，所以同学们都很爱找我玩儿，还给我起了一个绰号：王饱。我最要好的朋友就是陈润仪、李晓茹了!我们仨总是形影不离，每当下课都在一起玩儿游戏，一起聊天，一起讨论学习时遇到的疑问，别提有多快乐了!

在学校我很遵守纪律，偶尔上课时老师还没进教室，教室里就吵吵闹闹的，同学们不是在打闹就是在说话，可是我在这时候就读读书或背诗，不受他们的影响。因为我不喜欢教室里太吵闹，老师来了后又要批评我们纪律不好，又打乱了想读书的兴致。

在家里，我是一个好孩子。每天按时完成老师布置的家庭作业，要是一个作业没有完成，或者明天上学要带的书找不着，我打死都不睡觉。有时候还给爸妈揉肩，偶尔拖地、叠衣服、做饭。我很关心爸妈的身体，秋天天气慢慢变冷，假如还看到爸妈盖薄薄的被子，我就会仔细地挑一个适合的被子给他们盖。这时，爸妈就会乐得合不拢嘴。

我有很多爱好，像现在我就在学钢琴、乒乓球，妈妈还想给我报一个美术。平时我喜欢看电影、漂流、看海、玩儿······唉!多得数不胜数!

总之，我是一个人见人爱的好孩子!

Last Monday, we had a monitor election. At the beginning the two candidates, LiuDong and Wang Hong gave us a speech introducing themselves and telling us their plans in the future. Then we had a vote. We wrote down the name of the better one in our mind and put the paper in a box. Then the exciting time came that our teacher counted the number and wrote it on the blackboard. The result was that 28 students who voted Wang Hong, 13 more than the number of students who voted LiuDong, which meaned WangHong was elected as our monitor. Wang is really pretty good. I believe she will be a good monitor.
