In the morning, a grand flag-raising ceremony in Beijings Tiananmen Square will attract many people.

National Day is commemorated every year by special flag-raising ceremonies. Crowds gathere at Tiananmen Sqaure in Beijing early morning for this event. It was part of the National Day celebrations for the birthday of the Peoples Republic of China.

The national flag was first raised over Tiananmen Square in 1949, marking the birth of New China. And it has been repeated every day since then. The ceremony still attracts the interest of millions of people each year. Although the flag has meant different things to different people, it now rises over a more confident and prosperous country.

It was the first day of our summer holiday. All of us were very happy. Why? Because we have one months to do things we love to do. We are free.Although we have some homework. today is an exciting day. in the morning we had the singing contest. everyone did well in it. somebody sans lyrics and somebody didn’t. when the result came out, only audrey and ellison could be in the second run. vanessa was very sad. but finally she was in the second run. it was really great news for her.

My Family

My family includes three people and a pet. These three people are my father, my mother , and I. I also have a cat named cookie.

My father is hardworking and playful. He rus a small business at home. He is very busy, but he always s firnds the time to cook dinner and help me with homework. Although he is strict at times, he can also be playful and funny.

My mother is caring and hardworking, too. She’s a chemist and often works very late. Nevertheless, she is always there to take care of me. Though her expectations for me are very high. I know she only wants what’s best for me.

My cat, cookie, is a member of my family, too. She is a cute black and white cat. At times I find her eager to play. But usually she’s sleeping on the sofa. I never know what surprises she’ll bring next.

我的暑假过得很充实，想听听吗，暑假里，我奶奶回老家了，我就跟爸爸妈妈，一起去上班，上班多神气呀，我每次“上班”干什么呢，那就是看书，做作业，写博客，八月十号这天我和爸爸妈妈还回了一次成都，我去了一些好玩的地方，有：宽窄巷子、武侯祠、锦里，等等，还品尝了成都的小吃。暑假里我还做了我最爱做的事，那就是看书看到饱，我看了有：封神演义、聊斋志异、红楼梦、大个子老鼠小个子猫、红鞋子、傻狗温迪克、小时候就在想的事、非常老师、兔子坡等等，我超级喜欢看书，看书给我带来了快乐。时间过得真快转眼就开学了，这个暑假我过得快乐又有意思，接下来我将用心的投入到二年级的学习中去，我们一起加油吧!
