In 1949 my hometown was liberated。 Since then great changes have taken place there。 The streets have been widened。 Factories， schools， hospitals， cinemas and theatres have sprung up one after another。 The life of the people is greatly improved。

My name is Pat and Im from Taiwan. Right now, Im a student. I study very hard every day. I like going to school because Im eager to learn. I enjoy learning English. Its my favorite class. I like to make friends and I get along with everyone. This is the introduction I give whenever I meet new people. It tells people a little bit about me and about what I like to do.

听，那是什么声音?是鸟叫?不是。是谁在歌唱?也不是。那声音来自我的学校——胜利街小学，那是一阵阵琅琅的读书声，是世界上最美妙、最动听的声音。

一进校门，首先望见的是一个小小休憩园。走过那里的林荫小道，你会发现，路两旁的一棵棵大杨树，就好似一个个高大的巨人，守护着我们的校园。再往前走，就到了校园里最具文学气息的地方——教学楼。

出了教学楼，就来到了学校里最大的地方——操场。这个操场很大很大，能容得下全校学生。操场两旁栽满了杏树、山丁子树和稠李子树，每到秋天，这里就会结出又大又甜的果子，满校园里果香四溢，摘下一个红红的果子，轻轻的咬一口，那甜甜的汁液就会在你的嘴里四处流动，很甜，很香。远远望去，那几棵果树就好似一个个穿着红色连衣裙的小女孩，在随风舞动，很美。操场上还有很多的健身器材，有单杠、双杠、天梯、爬杆、篮球架等。每到下课，同学们就都到这里来玩，打篮球、爬杆、翻杠，玩什么的都有，好是热闹。操场里不光有体育器材，还有一大片空地。不玩体育器材的同学们，都会到这里来玩。他们玩丢手绢、抢角、摸瞎等游戏。也玩的很开心。除了玩的地方，操场里还有一个运动的地方——跑道。每次上体育课，同学们都会在跑道上一圈圈的跑，看的别人也想去跑两圈了。操场的正中间，是一个国旗台，每当星期一的早晨，耳边响起雄壮的国歌时，我们全校同学的心都与那冉冉升起的国旗融为一体了，虽然人在操场上，可是心已经飞到了国旗的上面了。国旗台旁的花坛里一片片花团锦簇，就好似一个个面带微笑的小太阳，十分美丽。它们，也仿佛在唱着国歌，望着国旗，和我们一起对着国旗，行着注目礼。操场的东边还有一个很漂亮的厕所，那是一座欧式小楼。我对这座厕所的第一印象是美。这座欧式小楼的颜色大概是棕色和白色的，房顶上每一个角上都有一个小圈，很好看;这座厕所给我的第二印象是净。这座厕所里一点污垢都没有，还没有任何异味，就像普通的屋子一样。操场的西边是一排小平房，那是我们学校的体育组，学校里的体育老师都在那里面工作。你可别小看了这一排小平房，他的里面很大，不但有一个教师办公室，还有一个放体育器材的大厅。那个大厅里坐几十个，也不会拥挤，反而还觉得很空旷，你说它大不大?来过这里的人都说这里很奇。

这里，就是我的校园，它很美，是一个美丽的大校园。不过，这里不但美丽，还是学生的天堂，花的天堂，鸟的天堂，爱的天堂!
