My hometown is located at the outside of the city. I was born and grew up there. It was a little village with natural scenery of green mountains, a beautiful river and lovely village houses. In the summer, I liked to go to picnic under the mountain and swim in the river. But now my hometown has changes.

The mountains were blown down to build the factories, and the river was polluted by the waste water from those factories. There are no more green mountains but the smoking factories. The water of the river turns black and stinks, I can never swim in it again. And the village houses are gone too, the ugly storied houses with walls are instead.

Mid-autumn day is a special festival in China, which is one of the

many people can reject he temptation of it. I like this festival very much. I

have two reasons.

Secondly, every family will prepare a big meal in that day. All the food is

delicious. It is good to have a big meal. I think nobody will not interest in

delicious food. The mooncake is a necessary decoration for mid-autumn day. It

tastes good, too. It is the traditional for a long time. How pleased to enjoy

the glorious full moon with mooncake!

我的家乡虽然没有大城市的喧嚣繁华，但却是一个风景如画、山清水秀的好地方。特别是这几年，家乡发生了翻天覆地的变化!家乡的母亲山——龙首山，山上一年四季都很美丽。春天百花齐放;夏天绿树成荫;秋天瓜果飘香;冬天银装素裹。一年四季，山上人流不断，少则几百人，多则上千人，都是来游览观光的。登上四望阁，整个银州区都尽收眼底，东面是那辽阔的柴河水库，远远望去，就像一条巨大的长龙。秀峰塔也就是玲珑塔，全塔上下一共有72个铃铛，阵阵微风吹过，便会发出优美的乐声。

柴河两岸的面貌更是大家有目共来脏兮兮的柴河如今变得清澈见底了。铁岭不光风景独特，而且人才倍出。中国载人航天工程总设计师王永志，径走冠军陈跃玲、刘宏宇都来自铁岭，连著名的笑星：赵本山、潘长江、小沈阳都是我们铁岭人。
