An Unforgettable Day

August 5 was a special day. It was my eighteenth birthday, on the way to become an adult. I didn’t go out with my relatives as usual, I went to Zhejiang Daily Newspaper Building to experience how an editor of Zhejiang Online Website worked. In the morning, we visited many offices, chatted with Wang Zhidong, the former CEO of Sina, and we tried to edit a report and send it to the Internet. We also had a debate about whether kids’being on-line was good. I stood on the positive side. That was, we should get on-line, to learn, to relax, to shop, to play, to make friends, and to name just a few. We took some pictures to accept as a souvenir. We had lunch there and watched movies afterwards. Spiderman II was truly realistic. We were fascinated by the cool actions, scared by the ugly beast,and encouraged by the brave hero. Then we saw part of Detective Conan, a Japanese cartoon film. In the afternoon, we took a bus to a building where the governors worked to interview a grandpa, who used to work for the young generation.

He is kind, and healthy, though he is over eighty. He loves working, especially working for the youth. He feels more energetic as he talks with kids. At last, he asked us to sing a song for him. We sent a boy on behalf of us all to sing a happy song. He didn’t disappoint us, making everyone present laugh for a while. When the interview ended, we headed back to the newspaper office.The leader handed each of us a diploma and the photos we took that morning. Good time passed quickly. We said good-bye to each other, and then we parted. Yeah, we’ve become friends though we haven’t known each other very long.

In a word, that was a meaningful enjoyable day. I really had great fun.

One day during the summer vacation, my father and I agreed to play

badminton, so we went to guolin park with badminton and racket.

The scenery of the park is picturesque, there are colorful flowers, and

some flowers are fragrant and beautiful. We came to a clearing and put the bag

Onthe morning of my fourteenth birthday, I got up earlier than usual to make breakfast for my parents. 中午吃完饭，老师们把精心准备的各种道具准备好后，游园活动就开始了。同学们个个兴奋不已，笑嘻嘻地穿梭于各个教室。刹那间，整幢教学楼变成了欢乐的海洋。

听说“希腊”（403班）的“点蜡烛”好玩又简单，我便和好朋友金宇虹手拉手一起去碰碰运气。一到那儿，一条“长龙”即映入眼帘，看来这个项目很受同学们的欢迎。我们随着人流走进了龙尾行列。慢慢地，我们进入了龙头的行列。我伸头前望，只见一个瘦小的女孩一下子就点燃了三根蜡烛而顺利通关了。“这个游戏的确挺简单的嘛！通关对于我来说应该不成问题。”于是，我信心十足地站在队中，不时向前移动着脚步。就在快轮到我时，一种莫名的担忧涌上心头：万一我动作慢了烧到手怎么办？同学们会不会笑话我呀？“快，轮到你了。”金宇虹对我说。我猛地回过神来，接过火柴，闪亮登场。“哧——”火柴擦着了，我急忙将火柴移向蜡烛。可是这火苗像故意跟我作对似的，东躲西藏，就是不和烛芯亲热。无奈，最后以失败而告终。我定了定神，又擦燃了第二根。这次我吸取教训，放慢了速度。谁知，这“熊熊大火”还没等到我移向蜡烛已经亲吻了我的手指，我只好大叫着将它扔到了地上。此刻，我狼狈极了，但为了尊严故作镇定。我又擦燃了第三根、第四根……时间到了，最终我只点燃了一支蜡烛！看来，不论何时都不能轻信别人的话，只有亲身下河才能知深浅，只有亲口尝梨才能之酸甜呐！

离开那伤心地，我来到了“西班牙斗牛场”（自己班教室），争取在这里找回点自信。瞧，赛场上那些瘦骨嶙峋的“牛”一下子就被那些膘肥体壮的“牛”撞出圈外，直接淘汰出局。此时，我暗下决心：只能成功，不许失败！

因为这里排队的人不多，所以很快就轮到我了。看到对手，我不由得松了一口气，因为跟我斗的是503班的一头瘦弱的“小牛”。我们的决斗一开始他就向我发起猛攻。他的腿真硬啊，撞在我的腿上犹如硬石砸落下来。我不甘示弱，双手牢牢地抱着脚，谨慎地周旋着，一旦抓住时机就凶猛地进行反击，非要和他拼个你死我活不可！慢慢地，他支持不住了，只好向我投降。“呜呼，我赢了！”我开心地大叫起来。同时，我也悟出了一个道理：在“战场”上，要智取，不可蛮斗。

后来，我又去玩了“跳麻袋”、“金字塔”、“踢足球”……每项活动都很好玩，都带给了我不同的体验。

这次的游园活动令我终生难忘，因为我们在玩游戏的同时学到了不少知识，也懂得了不少道理！

“唉，下节课就是英语课了，怎么办呀？昨天教的英语歌我还不会唱呢！”我愁眉苦脸地坐在位子上。

“叮铃铃……”上课的铃声打响了，对其他人来说，这铃声也许很正常，可是对于我来说呢，简直就是世界末日。

“请同学们打开课本，翻到26页，把这些英语单词跟我念一遍。”同学们都很轻松地念着，我却在那里紧张地鹦鹉学舌。

“好了，现在我来检查昨天要求唱的英语歌，谁会唱，举起手！”大家都飞快地举起了手，我像被针扎了一样，无精打采地看着书本，心里暗暗说着：“千万别让我唱啊！”

真是怕什么有什么，老师偏偏叫上了我，我的心更沉重了，只好慢吞吞地站起来，吞吞吐吐地说：“老师，我……我不会唱。”让我惊讶的是老师不但没有批评我，而且夸奖了我：“敢于承认，就是好孩子，我让大家再给你唱一遍英语歌，你可要记住了啊！”我不禁流下了两滴热泪。

经过这次教训，我下定决心，一定要把英语成绩提高上去。

有一天，妈妈对我说：“你的生日快到了！”

我一听，又高兴又激动。我每天都提醒着妈妈要她记住，有一次我说：“妈妈生日到了吗？”妈妈：啊的一声！我说：“咋啦！”妈妈说昨天是你的生日我都忘了。我一听很不开心地说：“你怎么可以把我的生日给忘掉呢？”妈妈说：“别急，别急，我帮你买个蛋糕给你补上不就行了吗？我说好啊！妈妈带我去买了我喜欢吃的蛋糕。回到家我开心的许了个愿，开始吃蛋糕，吃蛋糕的时候，妈妈告诉我，你还有一个生日呢！，我心里美滋滋的问妈妈说：“那什么时候到呢？”要过两个星期呢！

所以，我就整整等了两个星期，我生日那天，妈妈一大早就把我叫起来，说今天是你生日，祝你生日快乐！我一听开心极了，爸爸和妈妈给我买了好多玩的，好多吃的，又给我准备了一个我喜欢的大蛋糕。

这两个生日过得真让我难忘，希望每年都能过这样的生日！

Yesterday was my birthday and I received a lot of presents.

These presents were packed in coloured paper and two of them were funny and interesting, which impressed me.

My sister sent a bag of present to me. The bag was big and round. I though it was a football. But when I opened it, I saw a clock. The other one was given by my brother. He left me a message, which said my present is lying in your bedroom. When I got to my bedroom, I found a laptop. Oh!Great! I jumped with joy. Making a trip to ShangHai on May 18 was an experience which I will never forget.

I arrived in ShangHai at about 2 oclock,and immediately took a No.5 bus to the sea area.The beautiful blue sea was so large that I couldnt see the other side of it.After getting off the bus,I went straight to the shore.Taking off my shoes,I put my feet into the water.The water was cool,and walking in the water was such a great joy that I didnt want to stop.Then I collected shells.When it got dark,I sat on the shore,watching the sea.The night scene was simply marvelous!

Finally I had to go back.It was an unforgettable day in my life.

那是一个夏天，太阳洗净了平时的尘埃，尽其所能地炙烤着大地，但我和小伙伴们却不畏炎热，出发了！

我们的“头儿”先轻轻上了岸，爬到西瓜边，把一只大西瓜扭了下来，我们排成一条，想接力似的把西瓜往下传，我在最后接应，可能是心虚吧，西瓜掉进水里，“扑通”一声把老伯吓了一跳，环顾四周，我们立刻低下头，潜伏在土里。老伯见没人，又躺在了睡椅上。

我们不一会儿就消灭了西瓜，河面恢复了平静……

我现在还时时想起那条小河，时时想起那片瓜地，时时想起那些可爱的小伙伴……
